Hyperlobby Issue...
Anyone having issues with the latest version of HL?
Whenever I reboot or start my computer the desktop shortcut is gone. One of my malware programs identified it as a trojan as well. I've never had an issue with it in over ten years. |
So 'he who shouldn't be named' was right after all. :shock:

:eek:
We were joking about this on our forum. I wonder if "he" is still mucking about? |

There are no reports of such problems from any HL users with the new version. :) |
Problem is even when I re-install HL, it is removed after every start up, and my spyware program is not running.
I've tried a complete uninstall/reinstall and it still happens. And oddly when I do this it remembers all my window size settings, password, username, etc... Something odd is going on since the new version. |
Man, you're having a rough time with your system aren't you? :)
What Malware detection are you using? I'd go through and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and see what pops up on that scanner. I trust that one a fair bit while anything from McAfee and Norton has me running for the hills. See what that turns up from the scan. Next, I'd eliminate HyperLobby by uninstalling and removing the directory from wherever you've installed it. That should remove most of the profile information (can't remember if it drops anything in the Registry). Then...download a fresh copy from the website and install again. Don't install it to Program Files. Put it somewhere else. See what happens from there. |

@ElAurens
A member in my squad just had the same identical problem that you are experiencing. It was his anti-spyware and the problem reared it's ugly head with the latest update from HL. He removed the offending anti-spyware program and the problem disappeared. Many folks smarter than me here. Though, I would think? Most spyware/malware/virus programs allow the user to "set exceptions" to the scans. That is probably what I would do. Here is what I use: Microsoft Security Essentials (free), Spybot Search&Destroy (free) and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (free) and I have not had any conflicting problems or "false positives". Hope this helps. |
Kg 26 Alpha i ask another one after 1 years i not use hyperlobby..........if possible unbanned me tanks. another chance for me.

I created an exception in the anti malware program that was holding things hostage, repaired the HL install and now it seems to be working properly.
Odd thing is I've had this particular one on the computer for a long time and it never flagged HL till this latest update. Oh well, fixed for now. |
