Where will you buy KB on Sept. 23

Where do you plan to buy King's Bounty when it comes out ? On-Line or one of the major outlets? I can't find any info from Best Buy or Circuit City and I wouldn't trust any of their buyers to know a good game if it bit them in the @ss. So if anyone knows the best way to get it asap I like to hear.

LordFess 09-11-2008 12:43 AM

You pre-order the Game right now from GameStop or EBGames.

Daystar 09-11-2008 01:03 AM

Best Buy. It's the closest place. It's a 2 hour bike ride but I DON'T CARE!

Tuco 09-11-2008 02:45 AM

Well, on Stardock Impulse, if available.

Imperial Dane 09-11-2008 06:27 AM

Dunno as it isn't up for sale in Denmark yet :(

phoenixreborn 09-11-2008 04:48 PM

Best buy is usually best at having games right away, but I may have to wait a couple days depending on schedule.

bman654 09-11-2008 05:01 PM

GamersGate - you'll be able to download as soon as released. They sometimes have it available before the box is even on the way to the store.

Imperial Dane 09-11-2008 05:11 PM

Well i prefer a more physical copy of my games if i can get it.

In any case most online stores tend to ship their games before release so you can get it on the day of release

Kemot722 09-14-2008 10:31 PM

I will buy Collectors Edition in Poland.

Imperial Dane 09-15-2008 08:58 AM

There's a Collector's Edition of the game

Of course there is:) It looks like this:) At least those are contents of polish edition.

Kemot722 09-15-2008 09:47 AM

In my country, Cenega Poland will make special edition, which includes:
- artbook with more than graphics than artbook from "normal" edition,
- playing card with characters from game,
- unique copy of sword King's Bounty for cutting paper,
- leather goatskin for water with King's Bounty logo.

Imperial Dane 09-15-2008 02:56 PM

*sigh* I suppose it won't be appearing in any english speaking countries :(

Stever717 09-16-2008 12:36 AM

Pre-Ordered today

Thanks everyone for your input. I went and placed a pre-order in at GameStop today and should have it on the 24th.

I saw the post of the Collector's Edition and was impressed, it looked really cool.

Off to download the demo and give it a try, catch you all later.

GreyBeard 09-16-2008 04:11 AM

Hello I am going to pre-order today at Amazon have always been pleased with their fast shipping.

Checked BestBuy but can't yet find any info.

Really looking forward to this game, since my new PC won't install HOMM3 which I really have played alot of. This will be a perfect alternate I love TB strategy games and there are so few around.

Later

CrashMonkey 09-18-2008 04:04 AM

Amazon.com. if you pre-order they usually ship so that you receive it on launch day.

sinava 09-18-2008 04:31 AM

I don't this this game is going to be ever available in India (that is where I am currently) but hopefully I will be able to buy this game during my trips to US

Coin-coin le Canapin 09-18-2008 05:26 AM

I sometimes buy on play.com because they tend to make huge discounts (~20-40%) on some new games, but apparently this is not the case for KB.
So, I'm going to buy it in a random video game shop the release day.

Imperial Dane 09-18-2008 12:40 PM

Still not seeing anything in Denmark.. and if it is to be the 23rd or anything near that..then they should have added it by now. But no danish online store has it at all :(

So i must admit i fear that we will end up with a greatly staggered release..

Rooboy 09-18-2008 05:52 PM

Will this game be release in Australia? I rang all of the major game stores and none know anything about it. Or will I have to settle for a digital purchase download?

Realtoltek 09-21-2008 07:56 AM

Realtoltek

I will buy english version digital.

I can't find anything in Australia either (Perth anyway). Gameplanet.co.nz can import it, check out their site if you want to pay NZ $100 for the game.

Personally, I will get it from Gamersgate. I have used them before for 3 games and I've never had any problems. Plus it is around half the price (US $40 = Aus $50 at the current exchange rate).

It's a shame about not getting the boxed copy, but who knows when the retarded game stores here (EB, Game) will get it in, if ever?

I don't think Space Rangers 2 ever had an Australian release, did it?

Coin-coin le Canapin 09-23-2008 01:16 PM

KB is available for 40$ on amazon.com, that equals to only 27 euros...
And 50€ on amazon.fr
wtf, I HATE that.

Hmm, i bought it on amazon.com for only 29$, but i was five days ago. maybe some pre-order discount

Vassag0 09-23-2008 01:25 PM

Just bought it from GamersGate.
Very good game, well worth the money:)

Imperial Dane 09-23-2008 01:29 PM

Dunno.. they seem pretty quiet about anything outside the US right now..

Coin-coin le Canapin 09-23-2008 01:32 PM

Just a little question whose answer seems obvious : does the US version includes the lastest released patch ?
And, is it possible to see changelogs in english?

Imperial Dane 09-23-2008 01:41 PM

I do believe that question was answered a lot earlier, but yeah the patches have been added.. don't think there is a changelog though, why would they add that ?

Coin-coin le Canapin 09-23-2008 01:45 PM

Don't know, but I'm curious. :]

HodgePodge 09-23-2008 03:45 PM

I don't download games. I want a real disk in my hands to install on my computer. Then if, in the future, I decide to buy another computer, I will still have my disk(s).

I don't mind waiting a few days (or even a few weeks or months) before buying a game. That way I can learn from others whether it's even worth buying. I waited this long already, I can wait a little longer.

Download a game from an unreliable place? No thanks! (Remember the fiasco Puzzle Quest had with GoGamer?) Blah! Again, no thanks!

Imperial Dane 09-23-2008 05:27 PM

Well got the digital version.. but seeing how great this game is.. i definately want a boxed version for posterity.. and ease. Much easier with a disc than digital downloads.. plus you can clear up space if you want something else on the comp.

LordFu 09-24-2008 01:25 AM

I bought it, today, from GamersGate.com

It is my first purchase with them. I couldn't find any complaints about their service.

phoenixreborn 09-25-2008 01:11 PM

Stores (Gamestop) finally have it today in the States. Gonna go pick it up soon.

sinava 09-25-2008 05:55 PM

just got the digital version, but will get a boxed as soon as possible so that i keep it beside me while sleeping :-P

Download the game, burn it to disc.

Though I too prefer boxed versions, in case they have a nice box/manual/artbook/whatever. Otherwise it's not much of a difference.

Anyway, I'm waiting until a price drop (or alternatively, Christmas - it's not like I have a huge amount of disposable income as a uni student), and the removal of DRM.
