Heal and Res for Demon Army?
 
Having a brain fart here how do we rez and heal demon army? Heal itself dont work and pally rez dont if I recall? Been while since I messed around with demon army

Battle maidens work, I believe. And I think the spell Resurrection works, too.

orc shaman can heal/resurrect my black dragons lol

Unfortunately, their life steal talent only has one charge, so a demonologist can't really be a dedicated reviver.

Does that spell even work? Whenever I clicked on it, it said I can't do it or some such message.

It is supposed to use a luck rune, so if I wanna use it on Demonologists, I have to wait for their turn, so the spell can use up their rune?

No, you need them to have a luck rune. If you have some levels in the talent rune magic, your units start with the appropriate number of runes. To see which ones they have, look at the rune icon in the unit screen (where the status effects like buffs are displayed). You can use the spell Runic Word to give them more runes.
Note that Gift currently requires a luck rune to activate, but uses up a defense rune (if available). This will probably be corrected in some patch...

Gift only works for level 1-2 units as a scroll or level 1.

If you want to use it on Demonologist etc you will need to scribe and upgrade it.

I prefer Phantoming them and using rez as I go. If you have level 5 units, use a HEAL Level 3 to get them to max hp for that current unit THEN use rez from demonologist.

I think demonologist is level 4 so you need a lvl 3 Gift spell.

Repair Droids reload, Shaman's Spirit Axes reload, so do Battle Maidens, and also Fauns have 2 charges.

But yeah, pretty much irrelevant when Gift is a thing.

Is this new? I know they could heal, but not resurrect in Armored Princess.

Hang on. Doesn't Spirit Axe evenly divide healing between all your units? Assuming you had 5 stacks, that would mean you'd need to do 10,000 damage with Spirit Axe to fully heal a Black Dragon, right?

That`s not the case (at least i remember from AP/CW was different). Spirit axes do dmg , and then % of it use to heal your units. If you have : shaman , orc veterans , orc hunters , red and black dragon in your army (this is just example) , dmg dome by axes is 2000 - heal will be 80% = 1600HP. That will equal spread among your troops (5x320 HP) but since max hp that could be given to shaman and other orc troops is 397 (if they all are on 1HP) rest of it goes to dragons and heal (2x600 minimum, or if reds are at full HP, then black will get 999HP heal max). This could go a bit more complicated if you have peacefulness on some of troops.
Spirit axes will heal your units to max hp available, but not resurrect them. So it`s not that in mine expl each unit get 320 hp heal, but in case of orc troops they get healed to full hp and rest just dissapaer.

Ah, I see. For some reason I was under the impression it was a 50% heal spread evenly. That makes a lot more sense and makes me want to pick up some shamans right now. Thanks for clearing that up.
