Community of sukhoi.ru is exploring new ways to have even more fun in this great sim.

More than 30 players have registered for the new event which is planned for Saturday 11/03/2012 starting at about 17.00+ UTC. Britain will need some good fighter pilots to stop the raid I guess )

I wonder why international community does not organize something similar (e.g. for next weekend)?

uh maybe because of the VAC a. not working and b.moded planes on repka servers turning out?
and thee numorous to count bugs that you need to walk people through just to get the game to work and play like its meant to be play,

broken ammo load outs that need to be reconnected.

I find it very interesting that the BF109s weren't badly porked like the spits and hurricanes were?

But us it does not prevent a third time to conduct such an event.;)

Rather than look at the negatives, events like this should be viewed as an opportunity to kick some butt!

Guns don't work? No problems! Five thousand-odd pounds of Spitfire traveling at 230mph is force to be reconed with! ;)

Actually, lots of squadrons will be involved in the BoB online campaign event in the same time, it is just staring the following weekend.

Sorry, my bad, the question was addressed to those who like the game and fly on ATAG every day. I never experienced most of the issues you mentioned and convergence was fixed about 2-3 patches ago AFAIK. Modded planes and cheaters? If you are serious about this it is a greatest compliment to players who can actually fly ) Very old story )

Also, ask yourself if there really is a problem with the guns. Lot's of very skilled red pilots online who seem to have no problem with their guns.

You have to hand it to these guys that take these long distance shots and hit you resulting in disabled rudder.

I thought this was supposed to be fun and enjoyable. I want my money back. My blood pressure has risen 10 points.

Multi-squadron campaign starting this weekend and running through into 2013. This is the 3rd event of this type, this one should be bigger and better than before because of the last patch. This isn't just turning up on a DF server and blasting away in numbers, it's historically based according to actual events during the BoB, designed for squadrons (or at least group flying) in mind.

Just another project.
Our mission in saturday have fun with some accomplice.

Multi-squadron campaign is fantastic and running it is a great gift to online community. What I meant is events on the most popular CloD server which is ATAG ATM AFAIK ) Can be fun too.

Still remember my first Warbirds event with 70 people :) I was so scared when got low on fuel that landed on an aircraft carrier for the fist time without any practice :grin: Worked only once though ))

Yea i felt same on first take off on sow. Never checked my rad so much before takeoff.

And yes sow is a great gift and very well done last time. It was just the game itself that let us down last time. Should be amazing this time round.

The broken ammo loadouts haven't been proven as a constant bug across the board...as far as I know, the "tests" conducted aren't very accurate...shooting water and counting splashes isn't very reliable, especially at distance, especially with how point convergence logic works.

The reversed convergence is a bug, and many Russians will tell you it's been fixed because it was...on the Russian version of the game.

The English version of Cliffs of Dover's vertical and horizontal convergence are very much backwards in the loadout screen...but you know that now, so it's not an issue, just switch the values manually.

I remember ask to Oleg in Ubbi foruns to make a separated .ini for GUI - like in certain programs - to allow one translate a GUI for your native language (I did this for MODded IL-2).

He promised to check with the programmers, but...

Had it been implemented, would easily fix these kind of errors, just change the labels names in .ini. :(

Sounds like fun and I missed it but is this a kind of organised meet up on the normal ATAG server? If so, it's still a good idea even if not "a campaign" and should encourage the regulars to team up more although I detect that is happening more now. Reds have always been quite good at it but the Blues seem to be doing more of it now.
