II./JG53 Co-Op Squad is recruiting

As an established CO-OP group with over 40 members we are looking for BF109 pilots from all over the world to fly Co-op missions with us. We have three sections, one absed in the UK/EU, one in the USA/CAN and another based in AUS/NZ, all are operational and have plenty of active and dedicated pilots all waiting to welcome you into the group!
We fly using 1946 patched to the latest full version (ie. 4.08 ), generating our co-op missions using Lowengrins Dynamic campaign generator. We are currently operating over Stalingrad in late 1942 flying the BF109G2. With this oepration wrapping up we are currently discussing where to go to next, so now is a great time to get onboard and join in an operation from the start! If you join now you'll even get to have a vote on where you would like to fly with us!
We allow our pilots to fly in other IL2 squadrons providing mission times don't clash - we do this as we know some people like to have a co-op squad and an online "wars" squad as well as those who enjoy being in an "axis" squad and a different "allies" squad. So if you're looking for a CO-OP squad to fly with, id ask you to consider joining us here at II./JG53.
You've probably seen a fair few of us messing about on Hyperlobbby the past few days, if you've enjoyed flying with us, or just watching to random banter then feel free to drop by our forums and say hi, no obligation to join!
You can find our website here; http://www.freewebs.com/jagdgeschwader53/
With a link to the forums and "sign up" in the navigation bar as well as our Roster, Awards and News pages!

Hope to see you i nthe air with us soon!

Tee hee, poor Val. :D

JG53_Valantine 06-04-2008 12:19 AM

Not sure what you are laughing about Dowly - If I remember rightly you are on latrine duty this week! :-P

However, we are always welcoming more pilots into the group - we have had 8 new pilots in the past week so now is a great time to join as we are running a fair few training sessions and are getting all of our new pilots familiar with the old gits!

JG53_Valantine 06-09-2008 12:23 AM

We are currently looking for more pilots, Especially those of you located in the USA/Canada and Australia/NZ! So please feel free to drop by, no matter where you are in the world - we have a place for you!

Stalingrad has just 25 missions left, so you are still in time to come and join in some Winter fun before our next theatre of operations which is set to begin January/February 1943.

A quick Bump

A Quick Bump to say that we have expanded hugely of late and now total just over 50 pilots on roster with approximately 35-40 of these active. We regularly get 12+ pilots per mission and are always welcoming more into the group!

II./JG53 Newsletter

Hello everyone!

This is a quick message to update you on everything that is happening over at II./JG53. www./freewebs.com/jagdgeschwader53

We have recently finished our Stalingrad campaign, and are about to progress on to bolster the numbers in North Africa. It is now early January 1943, with a successfull virtual year behind us we are looking forward to a bright future, even with the Russians and the Allies increasing their efforts we are still fighting strong. Many medals have been earned and many promotions have been granted as each pilot develops their skills and abilities both in official missions and in one of our many practice sessions.

Stalingrad has been lost but at a great cost for the Russian forces. We as a group have grown exponentially the past few months, with over 55 pilots in the group. Activity is at a massive level with us regularly having over 12 pilots per mission. Both Weisse (UK/Europe)and Gelbe (Aus/NZ) are regularly flying missions, with Rote (USA/CAN) members joining in when they can.
Recruitment and retention are very high priorities for us as a group, so if you have any suggestions on how to maintain activity/ gain new recruits or even ensure that everyone enjoys their time with the group even more, feel free to post in suggestions and let us know. Everyone in the group is more than welcome to make suggestions and they will be discussed fairly - as afterall, we are a group of people who choose to spend some of our free time flying together and sharing this interest.

Over this next operation we intend to get every section flying their own regular missions in order to give everyone a chance to fly. I know there are some of you who have not been seen in a little while, so I hope everything is good and we are all looking forward to your return. If you do not believe you will be returning please let me know so that I can move you to our Retired section of the roster and free up your number. For those of you who have joined but are yet to fly, please drop by the forums and keep us updated of your situation.

For those of you who are behind on your screenshots (I know I have 4+ missions to do) can you please try and get these done as soon as possible as they do form an integral part of our kill claims procedures.

To those of you who still need custom skins for the desert campaign, please let me know what you are after if you require me to skin them for you - I will be on holiday in 2 and a half weeks and will be available to skin around then. If you are doing the skin yourself or downloading one then it must be approved by a member of Gruppe stab BEFORE it is used in official missions.

Training Officers:
Since both Zieg and Hertz have been inactive for some time due to various real life events (hope to see you both soon though), we have opened up the training officer positions for each section. Nominations and applications have been recieved and the final decision will be announced very shortly.

North Africa:
Over NA we can expect to engage a vast variety of British and American fighters and bombers. Mostly Spitfires and hurricanes, each of these units has its own rudder markings creating a bit more depth to the campaign, allowing us to build rivalries against certain squadrons. The immersion factor for this campaign should remain very high as well as it being a much more difficult fight then we have previously experienced.

Any other news?
For all the latest information and to catch up with the group, the best bet would be to visit our website www.freewebs.com/jagdgeschwader53 and take a flick through the forums, found via a link on our website.

Once again, I hope this message finds you all well and I hope to hear from everyone soon!

Kindest Regards,
Major Valantine Zimmermann

Spam reported.

North Africa is going very well so far, and all our new recruits seem to be settling in nicely and are getting the hang of how the group operates. We have some fantastic pilots who are always willing to help out, as has been witnessed in several of our Africa missions thus far!
V

JG53_Valantine 07-13-2008 02:27 AM

So far we have flown 3 missions over Afrika, and each one of them has been a challenge! Be it the sand being blown about, the British, the flies, or even the damn Camels dropping fudge outside the operations tent - we have flown and come home successfully. With 60 members within the group we are constantly expanding, and constantly upping the immersion factor! With each AI Spitfire and Hurricane Squadrons having their own tail paint scheme we are beginning to build up rivalries with enemy formations, knowing which pilots we face and when we need to be ultra cautious!
If this sounds like fun to you, then drop on by our website and I am certain we will make you feel welcome!

Recruitment

North Afrika has seen us face some extremely determined British and American pilots, our losses haev ben high but we are causing serious setbacks for the Allied advance.
Our Weisse (UK / EU) and Gelbe (Aus / NZ) sections are fully up and and running with Rote (USA / CAN) almost ready to roll on their independant missions.
It is a fantastic time to be joining this fabulous and dynamic group!

NEWSLETTER - 1ST AUG 08

Hi all,
I hope that this email finds you well!
As many of you know, we have been progressing brilliantly over North Afrika. It has been a very hard fight but one that we have all enjoyed and will continue to enjoy during this entire campaign.
It is also a great pleasure to announce that the new training officers are all performing a fantastic role and are coming up with some brilliant ideas for use by the group. One such idea is a new landing pattern that has begun to cut our landing times to under half the previous time. We also have developments in communications, using the wingman "whipser" function in teamspeak to great effect.
This is one of our main priorities right now, and as such we are looking to make some roster changes so that as many people as possible are paired up with another active pilot.
Several of you have let us know that you will be away for a while, and that is very much appreciated, however there are many that have been gone longer than expected and also those who have simply gone AWOL.
Please get in touch via the forum or reply to this email and let us know if and when we can expect you back. If you no longer wish to fly with JG53 then please let us know so that you can be moved to the retired roster where your pilot stats will be stored incase you wish to return at a later date and also as a tribute to your achievements during your time with us.
We have a lot going on at the moment, with some fantastic developments and an even better spirit than before. If you feel a bit rusty one of our training officers will always feel happy to arrange something for you. As always, yo ucan also contact me (Val) directly through the forums, MSN or email about any queries, concerns or questions.
I hope to hear from you all soon!

JG53_Valantine 09-21-2008 10:09 PM

Hello all,

As always, JG53 is looking for pilots the world over, so if yo uare itnerested in the CO-OP side of things feel free to check us out over at www.freewebs.com/jagdgeschwader53

However, the main reason for this post is to bring you all the fantastic news from JG53:

To start with I would like to extend my thanks to all of you who are currently active, in general most of our members have been active over this new theatre, however there are several of you who have not been seen for some time. If this applies to you, or you wish to leave the group, please drop by the forum and let me know. If you are simply away for an extended period or have issues that are preventing you from flying, it woudl also be appreciated if you dropped by the forums and let me know when to expect you abck.

With that done I shall move onto the second and important part of this newsletter:

After a long consultation and testing period involving all members of JG53, Stab have come to a final decision regarding these Mods.

We believe that JG53 should move to the Mods as it will:

1. Offer us increased realism in both graphical and sound terms
2. Offer us more realistic maps, especially for our current theatre of operations
3. Give us a much more updated game in the long wait for SOW
4. Offer us a slightly wider choice of aircraft to fight
5. Offer many, if not all, players a much steadier and reliable setup in terms of crash resistence and graphical errors.

As such we have thought long and hard about this, and have come up with the following rules:

1. Use only the "JG53" mod pack. the full complete uneddited pack.
2. Do not alter the mod package in any way
3. If caught cheating it is an immediate expuslion from the group
4. If caught using non "JG53" pack mods you get a warning, on the third warning you are removed from the group
5. The mod package will be re-evaluated every so often by gruppe stab (say every 3-6 months) to ensure we stay on top of developments that will enhance our immersion/realism whilst not forcing people to constantly fiddle with their installs.

These rules are here to ensure that EVERYONE is on an equal playing field. Whilst moving to mods does open up the possiblity of people using non approved mods or even hacks/cheats - the rules are inplace to discourage and punish those who do choose to do so. However I believe that by having a complete JG53 mod pack we should not encounter this as all our members are reliable and honest people.

From the consultation it apepars as though 99% of our membership approve of this move. Whilst Mod/Patch switchers do exist, during the course of testing many membres have reported issues with these jamming and requiring a complete reinstall. As such what I suggest, for all members, is to have two seperate installs. One that is the JG53 install which contains the official JG53 mod package and another that is the standard 4.08m patched version to allow for online play on public servers via hyperlobby. This is the most reliable way to ensure that you are still able to fly online via hyperlobby as well as having the complete JG53 package. Simply copy your install to another location, for example have the standard one at: C:/Program Files/IL21946 and then the Modded one at: C:/Program Files/IL21946JG53MOD

I think this package gives the most versatility to the group as it is a relatively small download when compared with the "complete" AAA package, is relatively easy to install and get working, Contains new and improved maps etc. whilst still being accessible for members with lower spec machines.

For missions we will no longer be able to use DCG to generate our missions, as such the missions will need to be created by hand. At the moment I am finalising a template that will be used for the first part of the new map from which we will create the first batch of missions. So expect to see missions flown by each Staffel that interlink and reinforce the notion that all pilots are flying the same campaign and the effects of Gelbe missions will be felt by Weisse and Rote and vice versa. This gives us a huge amount to work with in regards to getting a "living" campaign going that reflects our efforts across the board - hopefully meaning that for example, we all have a greater sense of achievement for taking out a flak battery in a Weisse missions meaning that Gelbe can get to their groudn pounding missions without being hit by that Flak battery.

Thanks go out to all JG53 members for having patience whilst this decision was made and the mods evaluated. An extra special thanks goes to the following for their contribution to the overall end result:

Anto
Otto
Wolf
Munz

I welcome all comments and suggestions as always!

JG53_Valantine 04-04-2009 03:18 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen,

JG53 is progressing very nicely and we are continuing to grow. Due to the large volume of sign ups Stab has taken the decision to create an AWOL section on the roster, when moved to AWOL a pilots page will be kept for a period up to 3 months, if after this 3 month period is up the pilot in question has made no contact with us via the forums, email or private message that pilot page will be deleted meaning that if that pilot wishes to return to JG53 in the future they must start from scratch.
This can easily be avoided by informing us that you will be away for a certain period, and if possible give us a rough guess when you will be back. If you no longer wish to be a member of JG53 let us know so that we can place your pilot page in the Retired section giving you a place of honour in the history of our group as well as leaving your pilot stats safe for any possible return.
At the moment I have only moved Flieger Kadettes to the AWOL section. These are people who have signed up with us but have not made any progress towards completing their training or joining in missions. Please get in contact and let us know if you will be back or not so that we do not keep spending time trying to get in contact with you. (List at end of this email)

I do have to say that our turn outs during missions over the past 3 months have been fantastic, in general we get at least 12 pilots airborne each mission. Rote will be starting up missions very shortly and both Weisse and Gelbe are continuing to go strong.

We are welcoming new recruits all the time and the majority of which are maintaining activity and are progressing with extreme promise.

We are also in the final stages of testing the version 1.2 of the JG53 mod pack and I have to say - it is looking fantastic! We are looking at a release some time over the next 2 weeks and unlike the previous version this will be a very easy one to install since it is a complete version and not a "patch".
We are also finishing up Sicily some time over the next few weeks and commandis currently looking at our next area of operations.

That is all for now,
I hope you are all well and to hear from any of you inactive chaps soon.
I also look forward to meeting any new recruits who see this and sign up.

Not to sound mean, or anything, but do you really think your squad business belongs in this public forum? The answer is no. Recruiting is one thing. But this newsletter business just doesn't belong here. Find a different way to recruit.

JG53_Valantine 04-21-2009 04:42 PM

Crash - everyone is entitled to their own oppinion.
I feel the newsletters are an important part, not only in the recruitment side of things through letting people who how things are with the group, but also important in keeping the the community sense that IL2 has.
By keeping the community informed it may not bring us recruits, but it does give people the heads up that constructing things are happening out there and that there is still a lot of dedication towards IL2.
It certainly can't hurt, im not detracting from any other important threads here. If you want to read it, then open the post, if not then don't - no-ones forcing you to read the newsletters, but at least they are there if you DO want to read them.
--------------------

By the by, we have another newsletter, but for our friend Crash Il keep it short here:

First things first, our new theatre of operations has been voted for, and the results see us transferring to join in with the defence of Smolensk on the Eastern Front. We expect the Soviets to be much more of a worthy opponent than the previous times we have engaged them (Stalingrad/Crimea). We expect to see a lot of improved fighters and ground attack aircraft as well as a fair portion of interesting and varied missions.

Equally, command has a very pleasant surprise for us! We are to swing past the Bavarian/Austrian area just north of the Alps in order to receive a few days rest whilst also refitting to the new and improved BF109 G4 variant. This variant is very much like the trusty G2 in both terms of handling and armament – it does however have an improved radio set, non retractable tail wheel and something I know many of will be happy about – larger tires to help with those rough landings!

We are also very pleased to announce the latest version of the JG53 Mod pack – Version 1.2
This is a COMPLETE and EASY to install package since the feedback from the 1.1 patch process indicated that a complete install would be much better for the vast majority of our members. This pack contains a whole new range of things from (lots of) aircraft and maps to more realistic effects and sounds.
V

JG53_Valantine 04-28-2009 10:14 PM

Bump!
We have just arrived back in the Fatherland and are refitting to our spanky new 109G4s. Although not eveyrthing is hunky dorey - we have just recieved word that we are to be shipped off to the Eastern Front near Smolensk!
So why not join us and help defend against the Red hordes!

JG53_Valantine 05-18-2009 08:14 PM

Please note.
Stab has been discussing the merits of introducing an age limit for entrance to the group. This is in response to a few issue we have had in the past, mainly the one caused by Hartmann/Ben/Galland and all the other names he used.
It is also due to the fact that 95% of JG53 members are aged over 21 and some, tripple that amount. Many members felt that by having pilots of younger ages it restricted the friendly chatter and although swearing etc. is no encouraged within JG53, many members feel uneasy having a laugh with such young pilots.

We have been discussing this issue for almost 2 months now, and we have come to the agreement that we should introduce an age limit for entrance the the group.

This age limit will mean that 15 years old is the absolute minimum for new recruits into JG53, this is reflected on both the group sign up form and on our rules page.
The rules read:
Quote:

Please note that we do now operate a minimum age policy. All applicants MUST be aged 15 or over, applications from those below this age cannot be considered. However immaturity will not be tolerated from members of any age.
Although 15 is still much younger than most of us here, Stab felt that 15 was a fair compromise between being an almost fully "open" group and being a one where everyone felt comfortable to enjoy their time here without fear of problems, from possibly insulting younger people to, forbid, having innapporpriate accusations thrown around.

So, what does this mean for our current members who are below 15?

Well, for those established in the group - you are evidently mature enough to fit in, or else you would have already been spoken to regarding your attitude.

For those new recruits to the group, in the interests of fairness to you, I will not dismiss you without a chance, however you will need to do your induction flight as normal, but will also need to fly with at least two members of stab who will judge if you will be a good fit for the group and if you have a mature enough attitude to be able to join in with the group flights.

Stab is unanimous in its decision that this is indeed the best way forward for the group in roder to maintain the great caliber of comraderie we currently have.

Great news Gents,
After a fair while of inactivity over the pond our Rote section is once again preparing to stand as an active section operating missions in their own time zone.

It has been a while in the planning what with setup problems, personal issues and many more with all the others who have tried we have now got someone to the stage where he is able to host missions, has MLR installed and knows how it works and has had a basic run through on FMB and is currently training with Joint Ops to be a better CO-OP mission builder.

So everyone, please say a huge thanks to Randall H Klaue for stepping up and taking on this responsibility!

The last thing to get organised is to arrange when the best suitable time/day for the Rote (USA/CAN) section to be airborne is!
Please visit the thread found on the JG53 forums, if you are a Rote Staffel member of JG53 and give Klaue the best times that you are available to fly!
I hope to see a lot of you chaps who have been inactive for a while putting in your input to help you get flights that are in your time zone!

Also this is a great chance for pilots of other sections to have even more oppertunities to fly, so why not pop in and see how things are developing!

We are currently operating over Smolensk and the Russians are putting up some extremely fierce resistance, so much so we are being pushed back by the Russian advances, Smolensk probably has another month before it falls so we will be looking at our next theatre of operations very soon.

If you recieve this and no longer wish ot be a member, please contact me so that I can move you to the inactives and remove you from the mailing list, if you have been inactive for a while and still wish to be a member of the group please get in contact and let us know that you are OK and if possible a rough guess at when you will return. Participating in misions has been great the last few months, so you'll be mroe than welcome to join in on our exciting missions.

So, again, a bit of fantastic news that all of us can celebrate!

We are currently in the process of updating our Luftkriegsschule training program. In order to enhance the training experience with JG53 we are moving to a "Program" system of training.
All new applicants who join between certain dates will be placed in the same training "Class" and will progress through several weeks of Basic training together, after completion of the course those pilots graduate into the main Staffels.
We are currently putting the finishing touches to both a Basic Flight school and an Advanced Flight school. Both will have full programs to help players of any ability improve so that they can enjoy their time with JG53 to the fullest.

So far we have several new sign ups that will be ready to start in the first class:

Flieger Kadette Willi Kotygoroshko Hidler (Weisse)
Flieger Kadette Gunther Von Marmusmann (Rote)
Flieger Kadette Scheifer Hartmann (Rote)
Flieger Kadette Eberhart Ludwing (Rote)
Flieger Kadette Adolf Keller (Rote)
Flieger Kadette Patrice Strasbourg (Weisse)

So if you wish to join us and be in the first "Class" od the new and improved JG53 Luftkriegsschule take a look at our website and see if we are the Squadron for you!
I hope to see you online with us in the future!

Smolensk has been all but lost, as such Command has ordered us out of the area and to reinforce our fellow Geschwaders over the Gulf of Finland near the Leningrad Pocket!

All three time Zone Staffels are up and running and missions occur at least 4 times per week as well as additional official training nights. Plus ontop of that most nights you'll find us flying about in co-ops either direct IP or on hyperlobby - so a pretty active bunch who are always on the look out for new recruits from all time zones!

Hi all,
I hope that this message finds you all well!
This is just a little update on things over at JG53.

We are currently looking to appoint a new Stellvertreter since Anto has become the Gruppe Technischer Offizier, we have also created a new role: Betriebs Offizier and are actively seeking applications for this position.

We have recently started in a new theatre, Leningrad. In this theatre we have a whole range of missions ahead of us and an extremely large and detailed map to offer us many flying oppertunities.

Turnouts to missions are at a decent level with us operating several Schwarms per mission which has seen the standard of teamwork in missions rise and improve.

Of course we are always looking for new members and are also looking for our inactive membership to renew their interest and jump on. Both the EU and Australian sections are running regular missions - the USA/CAN section is also "standing" although flights have yet to resume after last week's vacation - this is a situation that shoudl hopefully change within the next few days so that our members from the other side of the pond can enjoy all that JG53 has to offer.

So all in all, everything is progressing nicely in the group and we are continuing to expand with the right calibre of recruit and are continuing to enjoy the comraderie of flying together as a close knit unit.

Hope to see you in the air soon!

Some news for everyone, the snow is falling over Leningrad in late 43, we are defending against some really fierce soviet counter attacks and are so far remaining relatively victorious although we are beginning to suffer losses more frequently.

Activity levels are increasing slowly and mission turn outs are growing for Weisse. Rote and Gelbe are still struggling but are getting there slowly under the guidance of their respective hosters who are doing a great job.

We have also opened up our new Zestorer Staffel, this is an idea that has been floated around for some time and we have decided to give it a test run using BF110’s – we will be taking on recruits for this section as well as 109 pilots. Current pilots are also welcome to put in for a transfer to the ZG section if they fancy a bit of a change from the 109, but don’t worry, if you want to transfer back to the main 109 sections that is also available - so some really fantastic opportunities have opened up for both our existing membership and new recruits.

With the release of the official 4.09 patch we are currently in the process of updating our JG53 mod pack to incorporate this and many new developments in the mod scene including but not limited to updated 109s, British heavy bombers, new sounds, graphics, maps and much more.

The squadron is in great shape and we are all really enjoying the challenge that is Leningrad – so if you are inactive why not come and jump online again?

I look forward to seeing you all soon, and congratulations to all those who have recently received awards in the pilot page updates!

II./JG53 is an online Co-op squad. We are currently recruiting pilots of all abilities in all timezones. Join now and you could help turn the tide at Lenningrad!!

JG53_Valantine 04-16-2010 11:47 PM

Hello everyone,
First off please let me say that it is great to see the group being so active and also to see so many new members joining the group and staying active. We currently have around 35 active members per month with around 20-25 of those active on a weekly basis. This has seen us get up to 16 pilots in a mission on quite a regular occurrence! Weisse and Rote are currently fully active with two mission nights a week, Gelbe is currently active but only on one day a week due to vacations and service commitments from several members down under.
Our mission times are currently:
Weisse:
Tuesday 20:00 (London Time)
Sunday 20:00 (London Time)
Rote:
Wednesday 20:00 (US EST)
Sunday 20:00 (US EST)
Gelbe:
Sunday 17:00 (W AST)

Munz has also recently restarted Rote training evenings and Weisse is looking to get started with bi-weekly training nights on a Friday evening within the next few weeks.
We are also active in Air War and VOW Reloaded which run through Hyperlobby (look for members with IIJG53 in their names and you'll see some of us around most evenings. Most evenings you'll find people on our teamspeak channel flying in either these or even just some dogfighting, unofficial training or non mission co-ops.
We are currently running a small plugin mod for the community made mod pack "Ultra Pack 2.0m" - our plugin builds upon this fantastic mod set by adding in several new 109s including our current aircraft: the BF109G6 Erla, new weapon loadouts including the wing mortars (which to this date no-one has downed a bomber with a direct hit)
As you can guess we are currently in late March 1944 flying Defence of the Reich, big week has ended recently and we have learned a lot of hard lessons against the US and British forces. The new fighter variants are certainly huge challenges compared to our recent outings over the Eastern Front.
We have also recently had several pilots pass some huge land mark mission totals as well as many of our recent Luftkriegsschule recruits passing through into the main Staffels as Gefreiters and Obergefreiters.
Our planning for the eventual release of Storm of War is also coming along nicely which will see JG53 expand to incorporate a medium bomber or Stuka section alongside our current launch of a Zerstorer BF110 section in IL2.
We are also continuing to seek new recruits and are gaining some brilliant new chaps who are fitting in perfectly, but as always we are also encouraging all of our inactive members to get in touch and let us know they are OK and as always, encouraging them to get airborne once more.
Of course if you do not wish to be a member of JG53 any more, please reply and let us know to remove you.
All in all things are really progressing well and JG53 are continuing to progress and develop some fantastic teamwork which is seeing some absolutely fantastic wingmen come forward and show everyone exactly what JG53 is about: victory through superior teamwork and co-operation.
Anyhow, hope this finds you all very well. Looking forward to hearing from you all soon!

Recruiting BF109 and JU88 Piltos Worldwide

II./JG53 is currently re-opening recruitment for Bf109 and Ju88 pilots.

Due to the performance issues with Cliffs of Dover we as a group have decided to delay switch over to the new engine for a while, as such we are opening up recruitment for limited numbers.

We are currently accepting pilots for BOTH our fighter sections and our Bomber section from all over the world.

We have 5 sections in the group primarily based on time zone and aircraft specialism:

Weisse: European Fighter section
Rote: American / Canadian Fighter Section
Gelbe: Australian / New Zealand Fighter Section
Schwartz: Once the main time zone sections switch to the new Cliffs of Dover Engine this section will continue running modded 1946 for those unable to upgrade
Kampf: Worldwide Bomber section

Right now Gelbe and the Kampf section are a little low in numbers so we especially welcome pilots for these sections.

We are currently looking for a maximum of:

6 Bf109 Pilots
8 JU88 Pilots

Please visit our new and improved website at www.iijg53.com and see if we are the right group for you. If you do wish to sign up please go to the Enlist page and fill out a recruitment form.

Whilst we do recruit worldwide we are an English speaking group so some knowledge of English is needed, equally the minimum age for recruits is 18 unless invited directly by an existing member.

Hope to see you all soon
Regards,
V

Ultrapack 3 / TS3

Hi all,

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...riijg53com.png

Just a quick bit of information to everyone:

II./JG53 is currently recruiting Bf109 and JU88 pilots from around the globe. We are currently operating using IL2 1946 modded to the latest Ultrapack 3 release candidate (with our own enhanced AI mod since the current version uses stock AI).

We are a group that has been around flying actively since 2006 so we are no fly by night squadron, if you'll pardon the pun, and have a dedicated membership currently numbering around 40 active pilots all of various experience and knowledge, all of us share the comraderie of flying together and enjoying this simulation as a team.

We are looking for pilots from all over the globe as we have staffels to match the vast majority of time zones:

Weisse Staffel is the European staffel flying at 20:00 (London) time on both Tuesdays and Sundays.

Rote Staffel is the USA and CAN staffel flying at 20:00 (US EST) time on both Tuesdays and Sundays.

Gelbe Staffel is the Australian and New Zealand staffel flying at 20:00 (WAST) on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Our Kampf (Bomber) Staffel operates across all three time zones and is a recent addition to our group. It operates in the same missions as our main fighter staffels however the amount of interaction between fighers and bombers varies dependant on the mission briefings for each element, sometimes it is a close co-operation, other times we head in different directions to one another to complete different objectives.

This CO-Op campaign runs the length of the war, including the Spanish Civil War as we are operating over right now with each pilot persona being tracked.

Ultimately providing Cliffs of Dover is improved and becomes a stable platform we are looking to switch over, however this is quite a way off at present and even when we do switch to the new engine we will only do so when the vast majority are ready and able for it; upgrading as a team. If there are those unable to upgrade we will of course make provisions for them to continue flying with us alongside the CloD missions by opening an additional staffel flying as similar as possible campaign to our actions in CloD.

So, if flying with a friendly bunch of like minded chaps sounds like your idea of fun then feel free to check us out at www.iijg53.com

Hope to see you in the virtual skies soon!

II./JG53 is still looking for new recruits to fly the Bf109 and the JU88.

We are currently in the opening stages of the Invasion of Poland in Easrly September 1939 and the war is going well using Utrapack 3 with the added benefit of having a co-owner of SAS as our technical officer and several other modders amongst our number,

We are always welcoming in new recruits from all over the globe, our three main time zones are Europe (Weisse) which flies official missions on Tuesdays and Sundays at 20:00 London time / America (Rote) which flies at 20:00 US Eastern time on Sundays and Tuesdays / Australia (Gelbe) which flies at 20:00 Melborne time on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Alongside these times we having training nights, unofficial flights and hyperlobby flights as such it is very rare to jump on our teamspeak channel and find that there is nothing to do.

So, if you are interested in a co-op teamwork based squadron then please check us out and see if we are right for you.
