Weapon sets for BF109
 

Hi all, just got completely owned online as always. I fly the BF109E3.
Played this guy, who is undoubtly very good was also in a 109, but every hit even one bullet he was firing was taking off my rudder, alerions etc, thus taking me out of the game. I have been in many dogfights before where I have been hit and either evaded or landed, but never experienced this where EVERY 1st hit rendered my plane unflyable. Which points to maybe weapon sets ? He never missed, in fact the best I have seen

Love the game, just want to try and get a little better.

hey dirtbag,...it was me who was fighting with you....i have a historical loadout i found in the net,....its 5smkh,4pmk,and 1beobachtung in the mgs....for the cannons,well, i only used mineshells

Just a question, when you took off my left alerion, my rudder, my right alerion was that with the 20mm(s) ?

@slipball,...well i never used tracers in the mgs.only since the last patch, iam using them, cause i like the look of them...although im already thinking about getting rid of them again, cause i think they are a bit distracting...just my point of view.i think i aim better without tracers.
in the E4 i only use Minengeschoss, and in the E3 i only use Brandgranate

@notafinger,...for the cannons i have a convergence of 150horizontal and 500vertical

believe me, its only "training"...now i fly for 2years and i still find myself improving in certain aspects in combat...getting shot down is part of the game, nobody likes it, but its a oportunity to learn from your mistakes.

and yes, it was with the 20mm when i shot off your elevators.
and what i see regularly is, that if the defending plane gets hit in the exact moment when it just tries to make a defensive move, then its very likely that the controls are stuck.....especially the 109 tends to have this kind of damage model.

He is the best one in the 109. I have much learned from him but i have much to learn, thats for sure.

well, its not really flying lessons,...not yet.
we are a squad, JG26 which is part of the Air Combat Group which consists of 4 different squads.3 on the RAF side and the JG26 as the LW counterpart.

right now we are working on our new website, where we also plan to have a flight school.

This is a very easy problem to fix. First of all if you find yourself with a spitty saddled up on you and or you are the gang banged subject by more than one all you have to do is push the stick back and forth. Do it back and forth. Its all in the wrist man.

Oh yes DavidRed. Probably one of the best 109 pilots out there (I don't say the best one only because you never know if there is some other crazy punk), definitely the best one I ever fought and I fought many. He's a nasty bad-arse so don't worry if you got your bottom kicked. I am telling you there is lots of strong 109 pilots in this game but no one will make this many 2cm holes in you as quickly as Dave :D

And he's right also, 109 on 109 is almost always controls out, it's a DM bug (or feature depending how you're looking at it) because some cannon rounds do lots of secondary damage + the 109 is unusually fragile compared to other planes in the game.

The best way of getting better? Fight better pilots and learn from your mistakes. I recommend Repka DF to anyone (I guess this is where you had your 'experience'), there is plenty of good 109 pilots in there, make sure you have your jettison canopy / bail out combo mapped conveniently :D :D

To be back on topic... I still have the feeling that the convergences for canons are bugged throughout. To whatever i change it, I cant get in correct line with me reticle or even worse, I cant get it nearly lined up with me mg.
