ULTRA patch 4.11.1 (1.96GB) download link
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 ULTRA patch 4.11.1
This file will patch the retail boxed product & pay download for the Original IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 to version 4.11.1 and will allow you play online with ALL 4.11.1 servers. This file includes the following hard to find and download files combined into one single file in this order: il2_1946_408m.exe 409m.exe skins409m.exe Il2_410.exe Il2_410_1.exe Il2_411_INT.exe Il2_411Hotfix.rar Il2_411_1_INT.exe il2_4111_ultra.exe 1.96 GB ( google drive mirror ) il2_4111_ultra.exe 1.96 GB ( gamefiles mirror ) If you dont trust .EXE files, then download this anyway, change the file extention to .rar and extract with WinRAR to your C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 folder P.S. This file will also repair a messed up install of IL-2 1946 that failed to upgrade properly or in the wrong order. |
Just to let you know, it's not necessary to apply the 4.11 Hotfix if you are going from 4.11 to 4.11.1......just saying.
Also, are you sure you want to call this thing 'ULTRA'..? You don't think people may confuse it with UltraPack? Aviar |
Yea I just realized the name I gave it, I should have called it super.EXE.
But holly crap, people are downloading the sh** out of it, the people at Google Drive will most definatly notice this 2 GIG download. |

Good effort :)
It should be like this: il2_1946_408m.exe 409m.exe Il2_410.exe Il2_411_INT.exe Il2_411_1_INT.exe |
Crap I thought it was an Ultrapack..... LOL.
Good job mate with gathering all the patches in one download. This will make things easier for new people.... Should be a sticky? |
I think (if you are up for it) it would be good to include after the 4.09m patch, the skinpack that was released with it. It updated many of the stock skins and would be a great addition, after removal of the un-needed .exe files mentioned above.
Cheers, MP |

Excellent!! Thanks so much, I had been looking for something like this that could make patching a stock install much easier.
|
Being that it's called "ULTRA patch 4.11.1", I thought it was the Ultra pack for 4.11.1. I almost bypassed it!
Thanks for uploading! I'll start it when I go to bed tonight... |
All Patchs in my blog.

You have Windows7 You have IL-2 1946 installed in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 You now have a conflict with IL-2 and the Program Files folder because IL-2 and other old games are unable cope with the file permissions of Windows7 within the Program Files folder, mostly all files within your C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 folder are write protected and will not allow the patch to overwrite files that need replacing. Solution.......... You need to do a complete reinstall of IL-2 to another location, DO NOT JUST MOVE OR COPY THE FILES OR THE FILE PERMISSIONS WILL GO RIGHT ALONG WITH IT, for example: C:\oldgames\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Then apply the il2_4111_ultra.exe patch Then you are good to go. You dont need to download the patch again, just make sure it is 1.96 GB in size, otherwise you have an incompleted downloaded file and then you WILL need to download it again, or resume the download. |
thanks for the reply i will try an new install
but my game is located in C:\Program Files (x86) don't know if this made dif. or not but will give the new install a go, thanks for the help |
Yes an install to C:\Program Files (x86) will cause the same problems.

Dedicated Server
Hmm , nice, if only there where such an effort for dedicated server files , these are harder to find (at least some time back when I searched for them)
:( |
I am tring to put together a dedicated server now, but now I have come to a stand still as no body on the net will help me, I have all the files needed, I just dont know how to run it, I am at this point:
OK, this is the point where I am at and dont understand what to do: Step 3. Now the IL2FB server is just about prepared for starting. You still need to do 3 things though. 01. Create a difficulty1 file 02. Create a localip file Create these files here 03. Create a mission called test1.mis Create the mission here Once you have done these 3 things return here and continue. Now lets start the server to see if it goes! Find the file "il2server" in the Dedicated Server directory Run dont know what it means when it says: Create these files here & Create the mission here |
just because im new to this stuff im asking this, but do i have to download some of the other patches like 4.09 to make this work. i have the 4.07 patch im a bit of an noob now but i would like to get some help

The server is started through a command line script file, the difficult1 file you mention can be executed from within the server as console command before a mission is loaded, so it doesnt really matter where the difficult1 file and test1.mis file resides , as you have to enter the relative path when executing the dedicated server commands. The localip file doesnt ring a bell , there is a ip conf option in the conf.ini , and depending on how the server is configurated it can either be started within a console window or some kind of detached task that then can be controlled by the il2console tool, but as I havent got the files together, making a simple config is a cruel task  Funny that researching dedicated server information shows your post on the first page on google , good luck , I will keep an eye out for some ancient DS patch I might have on one of my drives already, the information for a basic config should hopefully be included but may however be outdated. |
I need examples of the difficulty1 file and localip file, if you can, please put in a .zip file and send them to me rcttsoul2@gmail.com

difficulty
Instead of executing the file , the commands could be executed in the main script before loading a mission,
somewhere in your documentation there should be some command like: "f difficulty1" within a cmd file, this means it would execute all commands within the file difficulty1 , but instead you could write (within cmd file): difficulty SeparateEStart 1 difficulty ComplexEManagement1 difficulty EngineOverheat 1 difficulty TorqueGyroEffects 1 difficulty FlutterEffect 1 difficulty WindTurbulence 1 difficulty StallsSpins 1 difficulty Vulnerability 1 difficulty BlackoutsRedouts 1 difficulty RealisticGunnery 1 difficulty LimitedAmmo 1 difficulty LimitedFuel 1 difficulty CockpitAlwaysOn 1 difficulty NoOutsideViews 1 difficulty HeadShake 1 difficulty NoIcons 1 difficulty NoPadlock 1 difficulty Clouds 1 difficulty NoInstantSuccess 1 difficulty TakeoffLanding 1 difficulty RealisticLandings 1 difficulty NoMapIcons 1 difficulty NoMinimapPath 1 difficulty NoSpeedBar 1 difficulty Reliability 1 difficulty GLimits 1 difficulty RealisticPilotVulnerability 1 difficulty RealisticNavigationInstruments 1 difficulty NoPlayerIcon 1 difficulty NoFogOfWarIcons 0 or just put the above into a text file and name it "difficulty1" (http://wiki.sturmovik.de/index.php?t...ers_Server.cmd / http://wiki.sturmovik.de/index.php?t...ulty_Parameter) Im still trying to find all the options, above should at least be valid for 4.10m , i dont know if the dedicated server console supports help like for other commands when running , if it is , you could type "help difficulty" or "difficulty help" while running the server , have to get the 2.04m basic DS to test this. The localip file still eludes me :-x EDIT: maybe we should try something like "Server commander" with the complete dedicated server, i dont think you can build a valid config that fits everyone, so just leave the readme stuff there as in the official patches, configuration of the server should be made per server anyway ? |
