Launcher crash

Gents,

I feel terrible. I was flying on the ATAG server, beautiful sunrise, in a 109-E3 gaining altitude, spotted the Cliffs in the early morning mist, another 109 passes by, stayed on my wing for a while when we spotted a group of bombers, pulse quickened slightly, closing in....game starts to stutter......slideshow.....one final beautiful render......

Launcher.exe crash

I haven't flown for almost 6 months, dabbled in online racing, caught the flying bug (again) and that bug has been seriously crippled.

Such a beautiful simulator, sigh...

Most people are hoping upon hope that the next patch (promised for months now) will solve the launcher issues.

I for one, have given up waiting, but there are others that will never give up hope.

Is this Luthier & the team trying to rescucitate ClOD?

Do you before installing the patch:

1. Let steam check your files. (for ati users delete/rename the Logo.wmv)
2. Delete the cache files in "..\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cache
3. Apply the patch
4. Start the game, run a mission, end the game.
5. Start the game again. (at second start the stutters normaly gone)

Hard to do with "Launcher.exe" problems (epic fail) before you can end the game.

Please make sure you send crash dump files from
Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cppcrash

to ishevchenko@1cpublishing.eu

Also try disabling HyperThreading in BIOS. Does it make any difference?

if the logo bug is still there you can open a topic about it kobiak (did you have performance issue with it? )

oho 05-06-2012 01:32 PM

just sent a crash file from singleplayer mission

CoD gave me multiple launcher crashes. For me it seems that CoD will do this if the res in game is not the same as the desktop.

I tried that with the last patch. It didn't work.

Why? Does CloD actually use HT? If it doesn't then what is the point of turning it off, or on for that matter?
