And again an unqualified message from somebody. I like the way, such guys say it without any proof. Just flying online, get shot and tell everywhere, that something is ubber. In the current version of the game, both are not modelled right and the spit has ubber advantages in th current state. So they will have to be nerfed. That there is still not clear, how the devs continue with the gasoline (87 or 100 octane) and many people are currently bashing each others about that special topic, we do not yet know about performances, that will appear in game.

So, it is a complete mess, what you are complaining.

Please stop whining here again abd learn to be better than the other pilots. If you are not able to shoot down enemies with your spitfire, than it is not the plane. It is you.

Sorry, but that is the whole truth up to now. Rest to be discussed later!

I m curious about the engine,,,

Good video by the way

alphasephirot 04-26-2012 10:35 AM

im with stublerone; the real good fighter pilots can fight a 109 or a spit with the crappiest plane. Is the man what counts, not the machine. I´m a pretty bad combat fighter but a good flyer and i will never ever consider blaming the plane, even if its nerfed or not.

I recommend you all to read "In pursuit", by johan kylander. A lot of good information to improove our combat skills, although it obviously needs a lot of practice. But isn´t practising, reading and learning some of the best things in aviation, simulation and life in general?

You know that scientists have new theories about the Big Bang where once a player in an online game admits "yeah, he beat me fair and square, I tried my best but he simply was better than me" the universe will collapse and start anew?

nah that happens in squads all the time when they fly with each other. On a dogfight server, now then the world would just detonate.

What intrigued me was that second seat. Living in Houston, Baton Rouge wouldn't be a long drive, if i could buy a ride in a FW-190.

There is no second seat. The headrest you see in the begining of the vid is the pilots rear armour that is attached to the canopy. It slides back with the canopy. ;)

Sorry Mastiff, the Bf109 was better in 1940 although the Spitfire was a dynamically different but good line up for it. - supirior in different ways.

I cant spell for sh&* but its Über not ubber, at least only put 1 b in ;)

As the red baron and others are trying to say:

"A flying man may be able to loop and do all the stunts imaginable and yet he may not succeed in shooting down a single enemy."

Have a nice day.

The owner of that aircraft is my old boss.

It's an ASh-82 engine.

mxmadman 04-26-2012 08:28 PM

Do folks out there really think the spitfires and 109's are equal in CloD? Have you actually flown both planes?

The 109 is certainly more deadly than the spitfire in any hands. Remove pilot skill from your equation.

There is definitely a reason I fly 109's instead of spitfires in CLOD even though I like spitfires more, and its because I will net more kills in a 109, pure and simple. And this is coming from someone who generally likes to turn fight in other sims.

Uhm, you know that this thread is about the flight of a FW190A8 after about 68 years?

And that's in a nutshell why I have zero interest in air quake online anymore.

No disrespect meant.

I was going to say that as well, but this has gone the way of most threads on the Banana, downhill fast.

As for the 190, beautiful (from an RAF Flyer)

Impressive how some folks in this forum has the hability to turn all threads in a FM contest. As the same exists the luftwhinners existis the alliedwhinners complaining all around. If you waste more time online training instead here complaining problaby you are much better with the machines you have in hands like now. Some guys complaining here i barely see online...

On topic: would be awfull be an owner of Focke Wulf 190. This is my beloved fighter ever.

Are you saying killing your enemy is not important in a more realistic mode? Killing enemies doesn't mean your failing mission objectives - in fact its quite helpful.

You mean "awesome" instead of "awfull" perhaps?

I love the 190 too. My fave being the A4 (I do have a penchant for early versions - same for spits and 109s).

Faustnik 04-26-2012 10:30 PM

What engine is in that 190a8? Maybe a M-82?

So then this plane should be the FW-190 A-8 flown by Hans Dortenmann of 2./JG 54 but then it lacks the "Hascherl 1" writing above the Greenheart and the little red devil at the Engine compartment.
Are you sure that the markings are the original ones?
