Any newview experts out there that can help me ?
Trying to setup newview v37 so that I can use hat switch to pan view. I have cleared all the hat switch commands in clod. So far I am getting paning but there are some issues.
-Sometimes your paning and then it jumps/ snaps to a view. Especially on the first hat movement after changing between internal and external views. -in external view you cannot fully rotate around the aircraft, there are some limits. Strangely it does not seem to be aligned with the aircraft either, you can rotate more one way than the other. Also not sure on what some of the newview options do such as: -"Alternate mode for F2,F8" -and under Pan >"newview mode on start" What mode should I select ? |
Hi
I have not noticed these problems with my program... I have 37m version, which version you have? At the moment I'm not on my computer to answer your last two questions ... |

I sugest us to see this topic (Google translate):

I have v37m working fine with il2 4.10. Have matched the newview clod profile settings to those of what I have for 4.10 profile. Still cannot fully orbit around my aircraft in clod using external view. Not sure what wires I have got crossed.
The external limits preventing me from orbiting the camera in f2 view seem to be very similar to the incockpit limits that model the pilot not being able to twist his head around. However they don't stay aligned with the plane in external view, ie the sector being masked in external view could be to the front or side of the aircraft. |
SeaPeople,
Yes, I can do a full orbit the external camera around my plane... You will not be forgetting to press the F10 key? ;) I'm currently using the following settings: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../NV_config.jpg |
Yeah I had been trying f10. I ended up getting mad and deleting it along with my clod settings to try and clear all the controls back to default. Be nice if they had a restore defaults button.
Anyway I went to re-download newview 37m and the website lists 2 fixes for it, unfortunately the links no longer work for atleast one of the fixes and the main download. Currently searching ..... |
this happened to me when I was trying to male custom profiles and changed the default assignments for zooming, panning etc with the mouse. If I recall well, the first F2, external view, worked ok, but the second press, you could not pan anymore. Ended up deleting everything, starting new profile and leaving the views at default.
PS: I was not using newview |

Mate,
Try unzipp my instalation... My Newview is updated, until I remember... Delete or save in another media your current installation. Also try your controls back to default (as LUD suggested), I actually modified anything in my settings of vision. If you have no way to retrieve the default values I try to save my settings controls to put here for download Quote:

Cheers for that Condor. I gave it a quick try and was getting the same issue. I guess that means I have a conflict somewhere else. I will try and figure out how to get all my cliffs of dover settings back to default. I actually re-downloaded ClOD, but it find some files I had not deleted :(.

Try to edit your conf.ini before (a personal file is better that default, to avoid overwrite during updates). I have default values here:
