BoM is actually not even OFFICIALY anounced ;)
and the "new" aircraft so far shown in WIP screens were: I-16 Type 28 (at least a version with canons) Ju88A-4 IL-2 singleseater IF 1C is realy focussing on winter 1941/42, i hope they will also bring a P-40B/C. Used in action at that time in the Moskau area. |
There is a ju52 model as seen somewhere but no skin and some german seaplane..

No official list.Every plane list is just speculation.(except the few that were in the wip .screenshots.But even those might not make it)
|
Planeset is not necessarily limited to BoM. It may cover Stalingrad 1942 or even more.
|
The more the merrier.. but hopefully not too many teasing 'unflyables'.. I would like a combat biplane.. the Gladiator would be jokes

+1 Love the P-40...Hmmm, and I got a warm spot for the P-39 too. I like that big gun (didn't the early exported version have the 37mm?), and I like all the slogans that the Russians painted on their P-39's. ;) Quote:
It would be kind of fun to have a decent Stalingrad map to battle over...it kind of captures the imagination. It would be fun to blow up tanks as they roll out of the tractor factory, or navigate by the grain tower...or maybe escort troop transports as they cross the Volga. Sigh...daydream of the possibility's...I love building small missions. :) |

If will are a bonus map like Crimea and Odessa, will be very nice include iar80 and He112
http://www.swannysmodels.com/images/...ics/boxtop.jpg and Leningrad Map (i insist that the Lake in the IL2 pic is too big;) = ladoga), will be nice a friday pic update of Ms406, Curtiss Hawk 75, b239 and fokker ... and with this planes, we can do maps of France and Dutchland for 1940 AirBattles:-P |
Oooh! that He112 looks so perdy. When will we ever see that in the IL-2 series? Soon? No! Never? No! 2 weeks be sure? be sure my friend, be very very 2 weeks sure....

The P-40 also performed well against BF: Quote:
http://lend-lease.airforce.ru/articl...-40/126iap.jpg Tomahawk II (AH965) of the 126 IAP flown by Lt. S.G. Ridnyi, Moscow area, December 1941 FWs, on the other hand, only appear at the end of 1942 (in russian front) as far as I know ... :) |
Modelling is much more time- and budget-consuming now than in the original series. I think only main aircraft which were in mass production will be made by the devs now. The rest will be left for 3rd parties or future special addons.

So during the time frame of the Stalingrad battle there were FW-190s on other sectors :) |

With regards to time consuming plane modeling I think that they now have a pretty good framework and routines in which they create new planes and the tools for making them might have been streamlined through the years, a 2005/6 model of an aircraft might only take half the time to model in 2012. The models in this game are detailed yes but state of the art? not any more. |
