S!
Truly astonishing! Those guys showed what a dedicated community can do and will do. Gotta download this :) |
Yup. Free to download, with an Albatross D.Va (for turn 'n burn combat) and a Spad 13 (a zoom 'n boomer - online noobs in this are easy meat if they try turn fights) flyable. Any PC capable of running CloD will run ROF at decent graphics settings.
Now a mature sim, though there are one or two issues still being worked on: like the AI dogfighting routines, and sniper rear gunners, and AI flying through clouds as if they aren't there, and... well, the usual suspects. Definitely worth having though. The only snag is that you will get an urge to buy more planes, and can rapidly end up with a full hanger and an empty bank account. Combat damage - I managed to fly this back to base:  http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/a..._8__2_13_2.jpg |
As of right now you can still get ROF with 9 flyable planes for $10 at http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_i...oducts_id=2740 (digital download only)

I happen to own it. But that is where it ends. I buy'em all but can only gather enough brain matter to use one at a time. :)

I've been trying to figure out a set of common controls for CloD, IL-2 '46 and RoF, but it isn't really practical. And trying to fly a Fokker Eindekker as if it was a Spit IX usually results in a wing falling off, or something equally embarrassing... |
i got bored with clod when adreanline and antipsicotics made me had 10x the time slow
i could count the bullets se them clearly and see the automatic handle move at slow motion sounds pretty fun but untill i master the revers that is see 20x faster when going to front ill let it be |
