I reckon you WA blokes need to share some summer. Us eastern staters feel like we're in England. I'm getting married on Tuesday at Tathra, on the beach. I only want one day of sunshine please boys.
Everyone over here are giving WA Uni curry over the flag thing. We're all flying them on our cars.

Im betting our heat wave will hit you in about a week, but a lot more humidity after all that rain you've had, great thing over in the West is it's bloody hot but dry, Ill be out in the pool with a nice cool beer then back into the air-conditioned house for a snooze

Good luck with your wedding day- I was playing with my kids in kayaks at Tathra today:). The water's nice and warm at the moment (warm for the far south coast anyway).
There's lots of flags on cars here today- I'm not much of a fan for going all-out for the patriotism thing. I prefer to do what the first fleet guys did- kick back with a bbq and a rum.

And here's me watching the rain hit the window in the UK!
Happy Australia Day guys, and congratulations on the wedding banned!

Thanks fellas. It should be a good day. I'm not usually big on the 'flying the flag' thing either, but since that WA uni thing, everyone is flying them.
Hope Tathra stays warm. I'll be there Sunday.

Happy Australia day to my uncle. His last letter (to my father) was in late 60s. From then on he newer heard of him (and they were close). :-(

It's really nice mate. Needs to be cooked by someone that knows how to cook it. It's sold in all shops now. A really lean meat. You have try some mate. It's beaut.

_RAAF_Smouch 01-26-2012 09:21 AM

Well,

I had me some barbied Lamb eye fillets and a couple a beers.

You know it makes sense!!!!!!!!!!

28 odd degrees C here today and went to the inlaws near the beach and it wasn't much cooler.

Bloody great day.

Closest i could compare to roo would be venison- they both have a strong flavour. Roo has to be cooked really hot and really quick otherwise it gets tough. Personally i much prefer pasture fed beef.
