what is so... %$%&^* difficult to implement in game directly this FOV thingie. Is anyone in team daidalos using a 14" CRT monitor and hates us the "rich boys" who got 16/9 full HD monitors?

do we have to suffer for our sins of not believing in 4.11 anymore for the last year or so?

I guess is hard...

I'll go play 4.11 in multi...

oops...

:P

Yup, zoomitis here. So, not working for me.

Indeed it would be nice if this was a game feature and not a "hack" ;)

Playing with 30" monitor which I view from about 1m away is a serious case of tunnel vision. With San's I normally use 120 degrees and it doesn't distort... much :)

Yeah, 3x24" monitors here. I'm going to try to un-install/re-install later and give it a go...

No joy... :(

Success! If anyone else is having trouble with San's, try to un-check the "Watch Fov" box.

YOUPPIII!!!! Works great. Tnks Deacon.

San is back!

Over on the SoftTH forum, San has posted that he might get some time to update his FOV changer for 4.11 !

Info here.

S!

Excellent news!

San's FOV changer works with 4.11hotfix, but not that well.

Uncheck all but "auto-activate" and it works about 80-90% of the time. Turning on "auto-reactivate" causes it to get stuck on certain FOVs when switching views, and even then half the time it won't unstick itself and restarting the game is required. "Watch FOV" just doesn't work at all.

3x27" monitors here.

San's used to be my favorite by far until I discovered sanka and Storebror's FOV mods for Modact.

IMO, the easiest/best/quickest "fix" for all this that would solve it for everyone is for TD to enable FOV values from (whatever the lowest is now, 20?) all the way up to 170 in increments of 5 assignable to hotkeys, and increase/decrease FOV keys in increments of 5. My default and "normal" flying FOV is 155, instrument viewing is 120, and gunnery is 60. That should cover every possibly desired FOV for all possible game resolutions and monitor setups. 8-)
