Whats the Amazing thing CLOD will have that no other flightsim has?
So a couple of weeks ago....maybe more. Luthier said we would get something Amazing...Something no other Flight sim has had....
I guess we have about 2 weeks to go before the new Graphics coding is released for IL2 COD. So what do you think it is? |

sorry couldn't resist P.S. Also code must pass muster for all stated/implied/imagened game features from this forum P.P.S and needs to run full graphics detail at over 30fps on a sub $1000 PC |
A guy sitting on your lap?
|
Something to make them squirm, was the phrase I think.
I expect it was over-boasting on luthier's part however, as he has a tendency for that sort of thing. |
DX11 with tesselation ?
|
DX13 with vaseline :D

Animation of crew?
|
¿One final release?...

Although Luthier did say it was a secret and the animations are known about... |
An In-Game radio comms system that actually works?
|
It has to be some kind of working ground units... What a Christmas present it would be to roll over the Kent country side in a Pz III attacking an airbase to capture it. Only problem is that darn channel so we need boats and barges too ;)
|
oleg?
ahh I know, wishful thinking . . . I think it will be combination of things, fully working game, like player controlled ground vehicles / guns + amazing sound, spanimated crew, mediterranean campaign, 109 girl etc . . . that together make up the secret |

Hmm would be fun but tree collision damage would have to be sorted out first :) . |
Hoping against all hope.
A non distorted world vieuw, so when looking around it looks natural and as not it looks in every? game as a distorted wideangle projection. Might need some serious number crunching if it's inherent to DX. |

Amazing? I don't care for amazing, I just want a sim that works as a released product on a decent rig.
|
A land-based aircraft controller?
A system whereby one player per army gets to sit on the actual battlefield - watching the planes above, being able to pan the view & act as an observer - giving altitudes and course adjustments for friendly fighters to vector in on enemies! Of course using accurate period radar (and having to be able to interperet it!) I can but dream... :) |
The epic bail out animation along with animated crews, I'd like that. But I think it was a ploy to make us buy dlc and hang tough on this game lol
|
I would love to see the bail out animation back, especially as thats usually how I end my flights...

Maybe we will get to use anti-aircraft guns and be able to switch between different guns and back to aircraft during the battle. I do seem to recall Oleg mentioning something about this in the early days. Would be a really cool feature and would add tremendously to the realism of the battle.
|
Their is no amazing thing. It's just a ploy to by more time.
|
How about a system that calculates how many whines you've posted and if it gets above a certain ammount a large target symbol and your velocity vectors are super imposed over your aircraft in your opponents sights!
That would really give them something to complaign about! ;) |

Really like the bailing out idea... Will be interesting bailing out of a flaming cockpit.. maybe you will have to keep bashing the bail out button if the cockpit hood is stuck
|
a stupid question: how do you look around when you are on your parachute? My visual seems locked.

It would be cool to pull the ripcord yourself on the parachute

The MG TA. It's track is modeled too wide, BTW. They were very narrow cars.
|
Yup I owned a TC once & later a PA...delightful little cars for a run to the pub...
