Check to see if you have epilepsy filter off. It might have turned itself on again.

Anti-Epilepsy filter needs to be switched off.

Early LSD tests in the Luftwaffe!

Shea, there is no need to install any beta patch at the moment. Steam should update you to the newest version...

But today it sounds way better ;)

Anyone remember the beautiful Orange Rising & Setting Sun and its lighting on the games release?

Puts the current lighting to shame :(

Lighting looks more realistic now. Get two pic at the same time of day.

BPickles 11-28-2011 05:41 PM

closest I could get. Lighting in the UK in summer is closer to the original game, plus i hate pin hard light :-P

RedToo 11-28-2011 06:24 PM

I live in the UK and have spent a while living in Kent (Dover). The original lighting is more accurate IMHO. It would be though. It was done by Oleg. Pity we only ever got to see it in full sun with no 'weather'.

RedToo.

BPickles 11-28-2011 08:29 PM

sadly it looks nothing like as good as the original lighting

Osprey 11-29-2011 03:30 PM

The two pictures are at totally different times. What kind of comparison is that?

BPickles 11-29-2011 04:04 PM

Ok i updated with the closest I could find, but the time frame was at least an hour or so later, the "NOW" pic was taken at 20:00 and I remember it was about 19:00 sunset on the original game, anyhow you can clearly see the absence of rich color and the blinding pink wash of the sun, some might say it looks more real but its a game, and I'd prefer it to look like a real English sunset.
I like realism but sometimes attempts at making realism can make it unrealistic.

KG26_Alpha 11-29-2011 04:24 PM

Dunno.......

The second shot looks better imo

BPickles 11-29-2011 04:58 PM

Well I suppose you cant please everyone all the time  this much is true about all games

KG26_Alpha 11-29-2011 07:44 PM

Very true...

Its no comparison really but flying back from Le Touquet after a days golfing, the second pictures nearer the mark regarding lighting
but sometimes the general murkiness of the Channel can wipe out any lighting at that time of day if my memory serves me right. :)

....and MG increased the haze effect a couple of patches back. I guess this is currently a 'standard day' in CoD. Maybe when the weather is working in FMB we can change it as we please.

I'd like to see a clear crisp Winter morning or a clamped in Autumn day for a Rhubarb :)
