New Folder called "Music"
There is a new folder called Music now.
background_de.ogg background_gb.ogg I tried to change the music. Made the .ogg right format. Copied and pasted the files but there is still the same old music played in the menu. What Iam doing wrong? |
no idea
but if you find any solution i would like to know it |
Not sure. I noticed the new music too though. Reminds me of daytime television.
|
I would like to change the music too. Depending on your language settings you get either an old WW2 Luftwaffe song or some depressing piano music :)
|
i like to change the music to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqpL6dEp5D8 and: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNVVo...eature=related |
And for our italian friends this one:
"Marcia Reale" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxzcw...eature=related  |
|
My election: Wagner! . For the luftwaffe, min 7:00 to fordward

It works YEAH!!!
I used VLC to convert my mp3-files into ogg-files. You have to use this Setting: Vorbis audio 44100Hz 192 bit 2-channels (for Stereo) and then convert it to an ogg-file. Save it under Users\...\documents\1C SoftClub\il-1 sturmovik cliffs of dover\music\ Start you game and "Aces High":!: |
Excellent Kodoss!!!!!! good work. Thanks mate!
|
By the way you can save more than 2 files in it.
I have at the moment: background_de.ogg (Aces High) background_gb.ogg (Battle of britain march) background_it.ogg (marcia Reale) It plays all 3 titles. |
Great.. just like the old IL2
|
No luck for me.
|
a little how to:
Open VLC media player (VideoLan). Click on Media (medien by me, have the german version), then on convert/save or ctrl+R (shortcut). Then by the File-folder click on add. search for your file you want to convert (like "Royal-Navy-march.mp3") and click on open. Now it should stay added in the folder. Click on Convert/save. Now you have a new window. On the top you see you file which you want to convert. click on profile and search for "Audio - Vorbis (OGG)". then click on the tools-symbol. Click on audiocodec and check for: Hook on Audio. NO hook by originaltrack. Codec: Vorbis. Bitrate:192KB/s. Channels: 2. 44100 Hz. then save. Click on "destination file" and put in the path and the name of your new file (don't forget the .ogg). click on start and bingo you got your music as an ogg-file. Save them in the music directory of your documents\1C Softclub\Clod directory. start your game and and enjoy. |
Thanks Kodoss
Not only it works nicely, now maybe the implamentation of music in the briefing room to specific missions through the FMB works also. As some of you already know, you can attach music files to a mission. The main Background sound in the briefing section and various other stages, including briefings specific for a side or flight that get triggered as soon as select a side or a plane, can have different sound files. It is has been a while since I was messing with it and I have just converted some files for the background music of one of my Quick missions and it WORKS. I need to tame my exitment and test the other sound assignements and report back. Maybe they are not implamented yet but we are getting clooooser!! :) |

It worked momentarily for one flight but I cannot make it to work anymore.
FMB does not see .ogg files yet. I only sees the .wav. Editing the .briefing file manually did not produce the anticipated results. I tried an independant subfolder and I tried using the existing "music" subfolder. I will keep trying different things and will post if successful On a positive note, other music in place of background_de.ogg and background_gb.ogg works nicely. |
Thanks Kodoss, I am just trying this.
I think Ill use this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG9-j3eevL4 |
Korngold,Steiner...Warner film composers et al....
|
Why does the music always stops when i go back to the mainmenu?
|
My two are ;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgIVGkUsx_8 for the German background music and for the British I used this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsKDGM5KTBY |
can we just deleat the stock music after we add our own?
does this interfere with steam vac? set up some aces high and it's awesome:cool: |
Good question.
It works whatever name the files have but I do not know if vac will kick in. Well, I've deleted my ffb files as it is perturbing without any problem so I guess you can delete the music files as well. Thinking about it I just may put the last movement of the 5th symphony of Beethoven... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMwXx...eature=related |
I renamed my 3 files just now.
!!!And it still works!!! Question is VAC. But I dont think that it will be a problem, or else we would'nd been able to add A/C skins, or change the backgrounds in the menues. It would be nice if we could get a statement from luthier to know which parts we are allowed to change and how deep the changes can be without getting banned. |
