Are there any pubs in this game?

I only played CloD a couple of times. My computer can't cope with it.

Can anyone tell me if there are any pubs in the game? I'm hoping at least that there are country pubs, but town pubs would be nice too.

Any screenshots would be much appreciated.

Hello Major!

Long time no see.

I've not found any pubs much to my disappointment, as I'm a big fan of pubs.

I did find a petrol station though..........

I have seen pubs.

ATAG_Snapper 09-16-2011 09:49 PM

This is a cool thread! I honestly haven't looked when doing low level flying. Then again, I haven't noticed any filling stations, either!

OK, I love a challenge! First up: a screenshot of a pub while beating up a town. The pic's no good without a specific location given (ie name of village).

Whew. That's made me thirsty! :D

No pubs yet for me

But.....................................

They did put a Victorian water tower on top of Shooters Hill (which is correct of course but an obscure detail),
then forgot St Paul's Cathedral and the Royal Naval College at Greenwich
also forgetting the Royal Observatory and Memorial which was strafed by a Bf109 :)

Leaving out historical landmarks like those above is very strange.

The only other explanation for this would be the church owners getting angry at the use, the people that ran the church that was used in Resistance (ps3 Game) got quite angry... but then again we don't have alien monsters running rampant through london

I live there and they are about ....................

:)

Maybe they left the pubs out to stop the Luftwaffe sneakily bombing them at night..

If they'd done that for real they would have wiped out Fighter command in about a week :)

Much has changes since I was there in '72 I guess. London was one of the few large cities I felt comfortable walking about in.

Here we go!!

It's in Dover harbour, just beyond the two cranes.

Do I get a prize?

(also note sliding sheep).

I think this is just off Croydon Aerodrome:

Conveniently placed to call your ladyfriend to tell her to meet you down the pub...

Great find, Andy. I like the distant silhouette of your Hurri in the background!

Ok, I cheated this time.

There are four pubs in FMB (one of which is called 'Joe's Bookstore', for some reason), plus other assorted furniture, so I arranged them in a little scenario around the first one I found.

Sorry about the frame rate, the new card should arrive in a couple of days.;)

Amazing!!
Thanks for making the video.

I make that four pubs! I'm surprised and pleased by the detail in the game. They look wonderful. I think I noticed a letter box next to one pub! :-) The telephone box is a nice touch too.

It is enough to make me homesick (I'm an Englishman abroad).

Thanks to all for posting.

ATAG_Snapper 09-18-2011 06:13 PM

Bloody good vid! Great period music with it!!!! :D

It was a pleasure mate, I had great fun doing it.

An Englishman in Sweden?! No wonder you wanted pubs!!;)

As it happens, a chap who drinks in my local pub has a brother who's a teacher in Sweden. Guess where he goes as soon as he lands home on a visit! :D

Oh and thanks also Snapper!:)

AndyJWest 09-18-2011 07:55 PM

I've double-checked, and the phone box is due west of the end of the east-west Croydon runway. I expect there are more, though they won't be easy to spot.
