Did you clear your cache?

Documents>1C Softclub>Cache folder

Thinks thats correct but I'm not at my pc atm.

You could try these steps. Didn't change anything for me but might for you.

1. In Steam uninstall CloD
2. In Steam reinstall Clod
3. Apply beta patch
4. Clear cache folder
5. In Steam defrag game files

Maybe vsynk started working for your system after patch. Try disabling vsynk both in game and in drivers or Google how to switch on Triple Buffering in DX games.

Thank you guys. I trie everything you list here except reinstall the game but still does not work. I have to hold this last straw now----reinstalling:(

I think is because of the new color effect, which seems to be a whole screen post processed effect.

Possible, although it shouldn't be a huge burden to today's graphics cards.

That is an interesting idea...

One quick way to improve performance in RoF or Arma2 was to disable post effects and before I had the GTX570 thats what I did to get really smooth graphics. Would there be any possibility of having the ability to switch off the post effects in CoD or are they too ingrained in the way it operates for that to work ?

Either way it would be a help to many to have scalable settings in the graphics options for things that currently don't. For example I seem to be getting a much bigger hit with grass enabled than before the beta. It would be good to have a low-med-high option to knock it back a bit rather than the on/off we have at present.

It will come im sure. read the manual regards explicit discussion on the ingame setting "HDR", im sure this will come to light. and all this points to there intentions having never been complete in the first place.

Maybe you should try switching from pseudo full to full in video settings and make sure you run no 2d background programs. Then check your vid card clocks to see if it uses highest clock speed available.

I saw some very strange vid card clock changes and had large fps changes with just 2 missions. For some reason the gpu did not go higher than 400 Mhz instead of 850.
