Ultimate COD RIG MK II - Major Upgrade Underway - Quad GTX580, 990X, 1500W PSU
Am I insane... probably... The ultimate COD Rig MK II
Some of you may have seen my recent SLI & Xfire scaling tests in the performance thread. Currently SLI doesnt scale very well with more than 2 NV cards with COD currently but hopefully that will change soon with some driver tweaks and the new game code in the upcoming beta!! .....We'll here's whats happening with the upgrade. I'd been mulling over for a while trying to decide if i should wait for next gen GPU's and CPU's.. Well I cracked... I have 4 new Gigabyte GTX 580 UDs in my possession and have ordered Aquacomputer blocks and SLI bridge and new 990X CPU to go with it. Oh and some MDPC sleeving to finally finish the system. EDIT:19-8-11 Updated list and pics Ordered AC Kryos HF Silver CPU block and 3x AC Ramplex Ram blocks too with 24GB of (3 x 4GB) PC3-16000 2000MHz DDR3 RAM - 9-10-9-27 kits. 2 x Enermax 1500W PSU 2 x Sliding 180-Degree U Connector (CNT-MEAU) = $19.48 6 x Nozzle Body, 4-Way Brass [no nozzles] (ADT-XUTX4) = $44.94 6 x Nozzle Coupling Adapter, G 1/4 Male-Female (ADT-XMF) = $14.94 6 x Nozzle Coupling Adapter, Male-Male (ADT-XMM) = $14.94 6 x Nozzle Coupling Adapter, Female-Female (ADT-XFF) = $16.44 10 x Nozzle Socket Plug (SCR-CP003PG) = $19.90 2 x Fitting Pair, Swiveling Elbow (Low Profile) (NZL-LXG2P) = $39.98 4 x Nozzle Coupling Adapter, Male-Female, 20mm (ADT-XMF-L) = $13.96 6 x Swiveling Coupling Adapter, Male-Female (ADT-SMF) = $20.94 6 x Swiveling Coupling Adapter, Male-Male (ADT-SMM) = $20.94 4 x Nozzle Body, 5-Way Brass [no nozzles] (SPL-XUFY5B) = $33.96 2 x Fitting Pair, Swiveling Elbow (NZL-LXG1P) = $39.98 2 x Dual VID Connector, Adjustable 2-3 Slot Spacing (CNT-VDA34) = $29.98 4 x RAM-35 Sliding Connector (Type 3) (CNT-ME3) = $27.96 6 x QDC (High Flow) No-Spill Shutoff Male, Threaded G 1/4 (VL3N-MG) = $65.94 4 x QDC (High Flow) No-Spill Shutoff, Female Angle [For ID: 10mm (3/8in), OD: 13mm (1/2in)] (VL3N-F10L) = $60.96 4 x QDC (High Flow) No-Spill Shutoff, Female [For ID: 10mm (3/8in), OD: 13mm (1/2in)] (VL3N-F10S) = $51.96 6 x QDC (High Flow) No-Spill Shutoff, Male [For ID: 10mm (3/8in), OD: 13mm (1/2in)] (VL3N-M10S) = $68.94 4 x Tecnofront AirBox 360 Plexi (AIRBOX360) $99.80 1 x Sunbeamtech Power Supply Modding Tool Kit (SB-TOOLKIT) $14.99 5 x *** HOT *** Arctic Cooling MX-4 Ultra Premium Thermal Compound with High Thermal Conductivity (ACTC-MX4) $49.75 7 x Indigo Xtreme for Intel Core i7 Processors (LGA1366 socket) (INDIGO-EX-1366) $139.65 8 x 3M™ 8815 Thermally Conductive AdhesiveTape (3M-8815) $23.60 176-9801 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,24 awg,red 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $22.20 $22.20 176-9794 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,24 awg,black 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $22.20 $22.20 332-001 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,24 awg,yellow 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $18.10 $18.10 176-9823 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,24 awg,blue 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $22.20 $22.20 333-436 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,yellow 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $28.00 $28.00 331-749 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,18 awg,black 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $26.10 $26.10 331-755 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,18 awg,red 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $27.80 $27.80 331-828 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,18 awg,violet 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $26.10 $26.10 331-777 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,18 awg,yellow 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $26.10 $26.10 333-420 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,green 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 333-385 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,white 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 333-470 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,grey 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 333-414 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,red 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 333-408 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,black 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 333-464 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,orange 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $28.00 $28.00 333-442 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,blue 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $35.00 $35.00 333-458 1 Wire,equipment,hook up,UL1007,30.5m,16 awg,brown 1 Reel of 30 Metre(s) $32.90 $32.90 3 MDPC Sleeve-Kit SL-K1-BK 35,29 € 105,87 € 1 MDPC Crimping-Tool CR-TOOL-X 31,63 € 31,63 € 5 SATA Crimp-Connector CR-SATA 2,09 € 10,45 € 5 SATA Power-Connector THROUGH HO-SATA-T 2,93 € 14,65 € 3 Crimp contacts FEMALE for ATX, PCIE, EPS CR-ATX-F 2,93 € 8,79 € 3 Crimp contacts MALE for ATX, PCIE, EPS CR-ATX-M 2,93 € 8,79 € 3 Crimp contacts for fans CR-FAN 2,51 € 7,53 € 3 24-Pin MOLEX BLACK - Housing HO-24P-BK 2,10 € 6,30 € 6 4-Pin MOLEX BLACK - Housing HO-4PF-BK 1,76 € 10,56 € 6 3-Pin MOLEX BLACK - Housing HO-3PF-BK 1,76 € 10,56 € 3 Cable-Management-Clip SMALL - BLACK PC-S-BK 1,89 € 5,67 € 3 Cable-Management-Clip BIG - BLACK PC-B-BK 2,48 € 7,44 € 3 Cable-Management-Clip JUMBO - BLACK PC-J-BK 2,51 € 7,53 € SubTotal : 235,77 € Of course the poor old coolermaster 1250 PSU isnt up to the task with these (it keeps doing overload shutdowns) so Ive had to order a new Enermax 1500W PSU. As a temporary work around I've installed another 1200W supply into the MM case and it now runs 3 cards and the second UD9 MB pcie 12v connector and its mostly stable with the other supply doing accessories MB and CPU and 1 GPU. It gets through 3Dmark11 Performance settings but not Extreme and cant finish vantage without tripping overload either even with 2 1200W PSUs! The individual rails on my 1200s are only good for 20A which explains it. They are operating right on the edge with max CPU overclock and 4 580s in benching. Ive gone with TWO Enermax 1500's as they have 125A over 6 rails (30A each) for a total power of 1500W for GPU/CPU 12v rails as apposed to the Silverstone strider that can only do 110A (25A each) over 8 rails and max 1300W for 12v rails. The Enermax has also got some pretty tight regulation according to the couple reviews i found. I cant believe how much power these cards draw and how much heat they generate in an SLI config. 100c on the first card without secondary active cooling, 70c on the 4th. Ive hooked up a workable temporary solution with a 120 fan mounted above them sucking air up and another 120 blowing cooler in from the back of the cards. Dropped temps to ~70c under load for all cards at stock 795/2000. I wasn't going to WC these so i could sell them off in a few months but they just get too hot and noisy and the performance is just amazing! Crysis 2 DX11 ultra pack rocks with these cards.. hows minimum 100FPS with maxed out settings sound? Ill post some pics soon... :eek::eek::eek: You're a sick, sick man. :-P
|
Phat...Why? Lol
--- - Carl |
Classic case of someone with far too much money  you should have made it 4 590's ;)
|
Quote:
The 590 has power issues and has also been known to go POP too! No wonder.. trying to drive 60amps through a single card when people OC them will do that! Yes a decent amount of "disposable income" ;) plus a little insanity! Still its less than im used to spending on cars and since I dont do that anymore this is actually way cheaper! LOL |
Well, I called the last one Godzilla, so maybe this one should be Freakzilla? ;)
Those benchmark scores are insane. |

24 gigs of ram? That's about 5x as much as you'll ever need for playing CloD or anything else. This computer will probably last you a lifetime. :)
|
And we thought the space programme was dead!
Did you remember to up the energy company's monthly payments? Oh, wait, do you OWN the energy company? |
Thanks a lot, now I'll never be able to feel good about my builds anymore ;)
|
When you hit the powerbutton, all the lights in your part of town flickers, and the nearest nuclear power plant goes into emergency mode! Russia readies her nukes and god kills a kitten
|
oh my god phat...
are you running a mission to mars whilst playing CloD? |
DAD CAN I HAVE ONE
DAD..NO I WAN'T ONE I WAN'T ONE I WAN'T ONE I WAN'T ONE I WAN'T ONE :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin: Excellent |
It's cheaper to covet yer neighbors wife....
than to duplicate yer computer.... The UPS to safely keep that critter running? Must be the size of a Volkswagon.... |
haha and I thought I was nuts for having a 990x and 2 x 580 GTX 3GB. You had to go out and get 4 of em :D
And about the 590GTX - Isn't that 2 x 570 GTX's? |
Eventually you're gonna build a machine that enslaves mankind you know that;)

My PSU and CPU arrived today!! |
I dont know if I should be astonished or be frightened.
Does your PSU even have a Plus80 label? |
Already got to 5Ghz... quick and dirty OC.. still some fine tuning to do. :D
https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...Qov4k/5Ghz.jpg |
So all in, How much would you say you spent on it?
:) |
I wish i got the 990i! Eying up an Alienware laptop atm... if i had the spare cash!
How do you keep that rig CLEAN?! HAHA cleaning every two weeks :P! Ross |
Awesome rig. That's the kind of thing I want to do next.
Hope you did not build it just to run this unfinished software though. That would be just plain sad. |
What are you doing, Dave?
Stop, Dave. Please stop, Dave. I feel much better now, Dave....... |
Don't ever try to "field strip" it blindfolded...;-)
I can definitely see your financial interest in getting SLI fixed....:) 5ghz.. |
Murderer!!! This rig be killing Mother Earth!!! Call the Eco-Cops!
It must have a carbon footprint the size of Godzillas slippers. I am Intel of Borg. Now I am become death. The destroyer of Worlds. Seriously though mate, great rig. Oh, and I hate you (lol). |
I was checking it out when you posted over at HWC...nice rig.
|
You sir are disturbed!
Carry on..... |
FS~Phat
a serious question. When you play CoD on line with Forest ON, do you get the sound bug (loss of sound after a while)? |

What an amazing rig. And here's me skipping coffee and pints to piggybank away enough to replace my gasping, third world Q6600 and mobo... It's enough to make a chap feel a tad inadequate.
|
Looks awesome man. Let's see it in action flying CloD! Need some performance results.
|
Ok got my 1st 5Ghz @ 1.63v Vantage completed.
I had to drop the 580's to 880/2200 @ 1.077v to keep under 100c as the high clock speed of the 990x was working them harder. Now im 5Ghz stable I'll do some COD testing! enjoy! :):) https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...ntage-5ghz.jpg https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...5Ghz-Volts.jpg PS... I found the limit of the new power supply... CPU 5.22Ghz 1.66v  with 920/2250 on the GPU's. PSU did an overload shutdown as temps were still fine! (well yes the CPU was a tad hot but not at tMax) Looks like I might need me a 2nd 1500W PSU to split the load when I overclock the GPUs under water. |
Benched black death, not really any different than before.
Limited by SLI support and code optimisations now.. Going faster doesnt help anything until NV release an official SLI profile and 1C do some more code tweaking. Hopefully next week when the next beta ships we'll all get a performance boost! |
Hi Phat,
Very nice rig.Have you considered buying a new bigger case? I have the new Silverstone TJ 11(the best air/water cooled case ive ever owned).Plenty of space for your gpu's and 2 psu's.It's a bit pricey but shouldnt bother you lol. Would defo recommend a second psu for your gpu's. Again, really nice rig,bet your having a ball benching. Keep the pics coming. |
|
Quote:
TJ11 is a nice case but its wayyy to small for my gear. Yeah another PSU for sure.... PS. No wonder it shut down, CPU's using 400W or so at 5.22Ghz. Total power below from extreme power supply calc pro (this is also based on stock GPU clocks ) Minimum PSU Wattage: 1522 W Recommended PSU Wattage: * Amperage (combined) +3.3V +5V +12V 7.7 A 13.5 A 123.3 A |

LOL posting big pictures won't make it bigger! The mountain mods extended ascension is like 2 of those put together trust me its huge. |
Quote:
Never saw your case in your sig,it's a monster lol. Never felt the need for more than 2 gpu's(probally change my mind if i had the money lol). Hope you post a vid when finished. |
Quote:
Yes I'll do some vids but it will be a few weeks before some of my components arrive from germany.. they're out of stock. I also have to spend a good week just making custom cables for everything and sleeving all the cables. The system should be finished by 3rd week in September. http://w7sp5a.blu.livefilestore.com/...o/IMG_1976.JPG |
Quote:
What retailer in Germany do you source your components from? |

Direct from Aquacomputer. |

Seriously that rig is SICK! Great Job. JD AKA_MattE |
LOL, u got issues phat :D
nah serious, damn that a sexy setup, well done mate :D |
Absolutely redonkulous!
|
That is the best rig i have ever seen good sir.
|
Updated 1st page with list of most of the components with pics. I know I've missed a few things but I'll get to them later!

Phat, if you're less than an ace in CloD with that rig then shame on you.;)
|
Phat, you're about as bonkers as a barrel full of owls rolled down a set of stairs!
I like it :D Just out of idle curiosity, how's the noiselevels of the Boxhemoth? |

So for normal website and office work its as quiet as a normal office PC. It gets a little louder for gaming but no where near as loud as even 1 stock video card fan, little lone 4! So when these video cards fans are replaced with water blocks like my last ones, it will be back to whisper quiet. When its all finished I'll do some vids. Quote:

Neat!!! Makes CEM on a Spit look easy-peasy, mate. ;) Thanks for the update!

That looks like a work of art and i know nothing about computers. You ought to hire it out to Luthier and the developers :) |
I swear I just seen this post over at OCN the other day while aimlessly browsing.
Top build! Next year I'll be making enough cash to do something similar. Wish I could do it now, though. ;) |

Next year you'll be able to buy better hardware than I! I wont be updating again till the next update after the next now. (unless I have a remarkably good year in sales for the next half!) |
No way can you shell out that kinda cash and still be content with a simple X-52 and that other stick you have. Time to invest in a proper stick and rudder (why not in a whole simpit) :-P
http://www.valiant-studio.eu/tarmac/html/en/hangar.php If i was nuts enough to spend that kinda cash it would go for that stuff first of all, lots more precise flying and immersion to be had. :) |
Quote:
On another note... The yellow 16 AWG wire arrived today a bit earlier than expected! ProRaid arrived today. It has a higher quality finish than I was expecting. SSD carriers arrived today too and expecting 24GB memory later this afternoon. Now all I need is the shipment from Performancepcs which is due today or tomorrow and the AC blocks which will be at least another 2 weeks. :( At least I can start on the cabling now! I stripped back the existing sleeving from a few PSU cables over the weekend in preparation and also worked out how to make custom length Sata cables! ;) This is gonna be a BIG job! |
Quote:
That absolutely awesome setup makes the Saitek controls look like an afterthought though. I used to have Saitek and it was decent stuff, but there is much much better out there. For example, a TM Warthog with dual throttle (awesome with CoD) and a sturdy set of Simped rudder pedals are in order for you. Believe me, they will be WAAAY better performance-wise than the Saitek stuff and won't take up anymore room. They will look amazing with your setup too. Have fun! |
Quote:
If they've got the Spitty stick and throttle I'm getting it. How awesome does the 109 stick and throttle look. Thanks. |
I was wondering, is there anyway in which you can build a computer with two CPU's on two seperate mobo's and then have 4 GTX 590's (2 on each mobo)
e.g. 2x Intel i7 990X (24 threads) 2x X58 mobo's 2x 24GB DDR3 RAM 2x 2 GTX 590 3GB 500GB SSD 2x 3TB Hard Drive 6Gb/s I would love to see this done, i think Arma 3 could run pretty well on this. And Cliffs of Dover would run maxed out :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |

Thought this looked like an OCN style build log, lol. I have a couple of questions. What is the I/D of the tubing? What pump(s) are you using? Also, is there any particular reason you're water cooling the RAM?
|
Quote:
|
Quote:
If you wanted to run a pair of CPUs you would need to go for Xeon 5500/5600 or Opteron 4100/6100 series processors on a single server or workstation motherboard. If you can find a board with the right number of PCI express slots, the rest is definitely possible. Unfortunately 99% of software these days is barely written to take advantage of multiple cores let alone multiple processors, so a build like this would be almost a total waste for gaming :( |
Quote:
2 x D5 pumps in each loop (CPU loop and then everything else in the 2nd loop) Water cooling ram helps with OC and keeps fan noise to a minimum. Ram fans are quite noisy beasts spinning at 6000RPM. I've pushed the ram to 2300Mhz with 1.8v which no amount of air cooling could cope with. |
Quote:
Only 4000 GBP for the whole set. But you can buy modules separately. £1550.00 for the Spitsim Control Column, with adjustable hydraulic pitch & roll dampers |
Ah, I didn't realize they were making high voltage friendly RAM again. Been a little out of the loop recently, last I was aware all you needed was good airflow after they stopped with the old BH5 ICs, lol.
|
Small update... still waiting on a whole bunch of things but I have started on the sleeving.... Massive job.
This is the main piece of work though here! Man what a head spin!!:confused::confused: At least the worst part of tracing them is done! https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...pin-legend.jpg https://blu1.storage.live.com/items/...4/IMG_1414.JPG And another side project to keep me gaming with decent FPS while I finish the main system build. https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...C2C-ver2.4.jpg http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4H.html Dont know if any of you have seen these before. I've been researching this before and its now become a much simpler process. Its an external express card to PCIE adapter. Designed for engineer testing of PCIE devices. Im going to use it for gaming on my VAIO Z128 laptop with an external GTX580! ;) How cool is that! The integrated GT330M just isnt cutting it for some of the stuff I want to play, and when I go away for the weekend to our family holiday house I can just pack the Lappy, adaptor, Powersuppply and I can play all my games at 60FPS+ ;) Here's an example pretty much of the setup as i will have it too. He has the exact same lappy as me known as a Z117 in other countries. http://forum.notebookreview.com/7718053-post4504.html With the Nvidia Optimus driver you get compression and upto 70% of the performance of a full 16x PCIE slot. Nvidia are currently developing (and probably ATI too, though not confirmed) external GPU for thunderbolt port which is electrically equivalent of a PCIE 2.0 x4. These will come out on next gen PC's and laptops. Sony have already released their version for their laptops. |
I've made some progress and now completed this beast of a cable..
It has the runs sleeved for the other PSU power-on and the Aquaero 5 XT relay. (the long curled up cables) There were lots of 2-way, 3-way and even 4-way cables.. What a headache!!!! At least it's all down hill from here, the PCIE's will be a piece of cake after this beastly cable! https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...0/IMG_2267.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...I/IMG_2269.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...E/IMG_2270.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...8/IMG_2271.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...U/IMG_2273.JPG |
I felt a little guilty for ordering a 79€ Samsung SSD today considering we will have a little one joining us very soon but after seeing your new rig I feel much better about it. Thanks Phat!

Hi Guys!
Back from holidays today and my performance pcs shipment has finally miraculously appeared and my replacement motherboard is back. Cant wait to ditch the bosch staples for the sunbeam PSU mod tool kit! ;) Aquacomputer also confirmed my blocks are finally on the way! :D :D I might get a RevoDrive 3 X2 240GB SSD next week depending on when my Vertex2 SSD RMA's get back. OCZ have confirmed they are replacing them! Tools of the sleeving trade! ;) https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...Y/IMG_2277.JPG The new sunbeam PSU modding tools above in the tool kit makes life sooo much easier compared to the bosch type 53 11.4mm staples!! The long lost Performance PCs shipment! A lifetime supply of MX4, thermal pads, 14 indigo extreme applications and 4 radiator shrouds. https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...Y/IMG_2279.JPG |
The troublesome 3 to 5 wire 8pin GPU ground cable under construction...
https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...c/IMG_2280.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...w/IMG_2283.JPG 1 finished and assembled GPU cable for 6pin and 8 pin. I only have 1 more of these to go. https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...A/IMG_2284.JPG Cables roughly installed. https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...w/IMG_2288.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...Q/IMG_2290.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...8/IMG_2292.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...I/IMG_2293.JPG Still a hell of a lot of work to do!!!!! |
You are one extremely sick puppy, Phat.
I like it :D |
I was reading up on aircraft system bundling and wiring at work the other day... all I can say is rather you than me LOL.
Nice looking build have been following this with some interest, hope it goes smoothly. |
Definitly to much wires. Hope you does'st lose overview.
|
Watch it blow up when he first boots it up!

Im rooting for you to prove these d***heads wrong Hope you like AdamB |
What's with all that agression? I don't think his post was insulting? A little bit of irony should be allowed considering the OP has a sig with: "I am Intel of Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.".
Especially you AdamB - what's with all that hate? And what's with your logic? Just because something is possible doesn't mean everyone has to like it. Maybe the thread should be moved to the performance section anyways. Eventually it'll prevent "wandering souls" to visit it by accident and daring to leave a comment. That's what you get for posting in the wrong section :-P |
Yeah really wow, even Phat didn't take my post serious, as it wasn't meant to be. His project is quite impressive and my comment was silly and rather pointless way of bringing him back down to my, and probably most others, PC building skill level. My guess he either does now or used to build gaming rigs for a living.
I guess Adam forgot to take his pills today. :-P |
my goodness them black wires are starting to look like something from the matrix.

Jesus that thing is scary......how long before it becomes self aware and destroys mankind?

I space heater with moxy.
I like it. A friend was joking about his rig: he tells people it finishes games before he has a chance to start them. |
AMAIZING...very very cool, you said you have it already running, are you playing cod?...can you tell what kind of sick performance are you having??...please give details about the versions you have played and their respective performance, i just want to know if by trowing pure incredible muscle you could get perfect perfomance in a game currently with performance issues...please

I also got SLI to run butter smooth by forcing split screen rendering instead of alternate frame rendering but AVG frame rate was only 35 FPS with a max of 70 FPS, Minimum 17 FPS was higher than normal though. All 4 GPUs were running flat out pegged at 99% the whole time with SFR. PS I love what they've done with the lastest Beta Patch for the new look and the smoother performance! |
System stripped back to bare essentials..
Water blocks should all arrive next week! https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...U/IMG_2294.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...I/IMG_2301.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...s/IMG_2306.JPG https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...0/IMG_2304.JPG First Rad Fans Sleeved https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...g/IMG_2315.JPG https://blu1.storage.live.com/items/...4/IMG_2317.JPG https://blu1.storage.live.com/items/...4/IMG_2316.JPG |
Finished Rads...

Ok almost done.
Just have 1 more GPU cable to do as more black 16awg wire only arrived yesterday. A couple more cables to sleeve including the front panel controls and a couple 12v runs for the power board in the middle. Mount the SSD cradle and sleeve. And re-crimp all the sensors. Fit blocks and tubing. Im expecting the blocks to arrive late next week. Here's the beast almost complete, everything fits as planned with minimal cables visible!!! https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...341.JPG?psid=1 https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...342.JPG?psid=1 https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...343.JPG?psid=1 https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...344.JPG?psid=1 https://blufiles.storage.live.com/y1...345.JPG?psid=1 |
Your buildup looks much cleaner now.
But what I don't understand is, why you used quick-connect couplings on the radiators and also on the board. The risk of leaked water by connecting and disconnecting them on the board is in my eyes a little bit to high. I keep watching. |
Not bad at all Phat..
you got a long way to go yet fella: http://web.mac.com/lord_philip/sincl...es/my_zx81.jpg |
I made a list of things left to do... as much as I do there still seems to be so much left to do!

Great Rig.
Now you don't need to heat your room in winter anymore. By the way, whats your average framerate in CloD? |
DUDE! That's not a rig, that's a damn MONSTER. Sweet Jebus, my system just hid itself in the darkest corner of my officer to sulk..
