Ubi advertisment > CloD at an end?
http://newsletters.ubi.com/EMEA/Clif.../uk_index.html
Is that a spelling mistake > LAST instead of LATEST? |
i do hope not it is the last. ive only just got into PC simming
|
No, I think it speaks the truth.
No Oleg Maddox = no Maddox games The sales of CloD have just been used to pay off the debts from development then quietly shut the door and last man turns off the light. sorry to be pessimistic but that is probably not far from the truth |
Perhaps they have decided to drop the IL-2 Sturmovik tag and return with the original Storm Of War title for future projects.
|
Wrong translation from Russian.
|
given how they cant even update there site correctly im going to say its a typo.
S! |
Heh. Before the last guy turns off the light, they should change the tagline in this forum, too! :D

In some way, last and latest are the same.
|
@danjama.....:lol:
|
Stop being so optimistic. This game is a fail. You know it.
|
Yes I think it's just a poor choice of words for the translation.
As in "My last hangover was really bad" Making a statement like that does not imply that you are not going to have another hangover (unless it was really, really bad! !) ) Cheers! |

And if it is Ubi's Last association with Maddox Games, few of us will lose much sleep over it. |

I'm having a lot of fun in it. No fail for me although it does need work. |

Really hope this is a typo that would be a sad day for all :( |

Ubisoft gives up CloD ?
The "last" installment of this sim by Ubisoft ?
Would be great if it is true ! :-P That gives hope for future releases of this new flightsim. Maybe then the next sequel of this sim, released by another company will be in better shape on the release date !? You certainly dont need Ubisoft for a good flightsim, look at "Rise of Flight" ! :!: But I guess, they just mean, "the newest" release. :( |
Typo.
|
Good grief. I guess this is the sort of nonsense post that comes of lack of frequent updates by the devs. I choose to believe what the devs have actually said, rather than the strange patern of leaves in the bottom of my teacup.

Oleg works for someone else now.
Luthier will care for us more when the next expansion is ready. The world is due to end in 2012. :) |

I'm so frustrated because this game have so many potentials... but really seems gone, I hope to be wrong.. but this is not how a serious developer acts with his customers and potential customers. |
I'm beginning to wonder if the best thing for MG is if Luthier were to step down as project leader. Maybe get someone like Albert Zhiltsov onto it instead. He's a bit scary, but that guy certainly knows how to work a plan.
|
For me i knew there was something seriously wrong with the development of COD, the moment i saw "spit-girl"
Under Oleg there would of never been a spit-girl or a banjo music update. Things have slipped so far its very worrying for the future of the series. |
Well Spit girl was certainly a 'WTF!' moment for me...

That would be it for me,game over. |

Well, what is obvious to all? You can't bother somebody who doesn't care... Years were spent to promote this endeavor... Silence....for many....has negated it.... |
The "spit-girl" was in development while Oleg was still there..
Also Oleg left the building but he still watch the development of this sim from Oleg's channel.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCQ_0...el_video_title |

The question is, how many months are we going to sit here waiting for an update whilst ignoring the 'writing on the wall'.
