Dornier 17
Would be nice to see this in SoW. It may have been obsolete by 1940 but it made up a large percentage of the Kampfgeschwadern in the Battle of Britain,as well as soldiering in for many years afterwards.

isn't there a legend of one d017 making it back with over 200 holes in it?

and with already Ju88, He111, Br.20 and Ju87 as flyable on the axis side, i dont complain when the Do17 is "only" AI ................. espacially as it will be possible to have AI controlled planes on the , so in il2 called, Dogfightmaps. imagine as so far only the Blenheim is "known" as a flyable RAF bomber ! |
I don't know why,but it has always been my favorite LW early war bomber.
|
I'd love to have a flyable Do17. Let's see what the next year brings.
|
Please remember that just because you have a WIP screenshot, does not mean it will be included in the game. Be patient.

There is a very good book on the Dornier called 'Dornier 17 In Focus ' by Chris Goss that is well worth reading for anyone with an interest in this aircraft. The P model was a very successful reconnaissance version and still in use very late into the war.

Yep. Do-17 is my fave WW2 bomber. Oleg will probably model this aircraft somewhere in BoB And Beyond; if not in BoB, then later in the Beyond series.

Thanks LEXX I was looking for that link but couldn't find it!

She's a lovely one, alright. I always liked the 111 a lot but having shot it down so many times in IL2 I'd love to see something new. I think it's the twin tails that appeal to me.
