I have to be Honest. I have been a HUGE "dont worry it will get fixed" proponent but this is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! They changed the planes to where they BLOW their engines if they SLIGHTLY go over RPM, but then you can cant hear you F ing engine. Guess what thats a DEAL BREAKER. How that isnt #1 issue to fix this week. I have no idea. It really makes me start to wonder What the hell the teams priorities are.
1C this is ULTRA frustrating, and until that is fixed you have one less patron, and worse than that, I am telling everyone that asks, that your product is in an unplayable state and not to waste their money. Until you get this product to a playable level thats the way it will stay. |
I have it, though today (after patch) it came and then went away for a while (10 mins) and then cut out completely. System below in sig.
|
This sound bug is something of a gamebreaker I agree. After upgrading to an nVidia GTX 580 and now getting reasonable fps I find my engine sound goes off not long into a mp game. I wonder if setting the sound output in Windows Sound configuration down to a lower setting like 16bit 44100hz would make any difference ?
Will have to try it out tomorrow. |
Hi.
After the latest patch v.1.02 I got the sound bug. The sound goes off and on, off and on and then the screen goes black! I get the image back pressing esc and fly again on multiplayer server. it makes flying on mp servers impossible! :( mobo: Asus P8P67 Deluxe CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6970 2GB Sound card: Asus Xonar D2 Memory: 8GB Dual Kit Ripjaws-X, DDR3 1333MHz Windows 7 64bit. |

Since things are moving slowly among you gentlemen, may I recommend to you to try to find what all of you with the sound bug have (or have not) in common?
For example: #1 Is anybody having the sound bug and has NVIDIA GPU + on motherboard soundcard? #2 Is anybody having the sound bug and has NVIDIA GPU + External soundcard? My two cents... ~S~ |
ATI and i got it, also i realised it knocks the sound out fully in the game you have to fully exit the game and start it up again.
|
I have it too and left the game until it fixed.
|
OK, so
IS ANYBODY HAVING THE SOUND BUG and has NVIDIA GPU + MOTHEBOARD SOUNDCARD? ~S~ |

Thanks but, wtf are you talking about? I have no sound bug ;)
But it seems to me that nobody until now has the sound bug using NVIDIA and the motherboard soundcard... |
#2 Is anybody having the sound bug and has NVIDIA GPU + External soundcard?
Yes me SB XIFI Sound card Win 7 64 bit GTX 580 |
Thanks IvanK,
yes I noticed that also 303_Tees has the same configuration. So what is left now is to see whether ANYBODY HAVING THE SOUND BUG and has NVIDIA GPU + MOTHEBOARD SOUNDCARD? It may be a lucky guess and then at least it is easier to re-produce the error (and hopefully fix it). I could of course ask you to remove or disable your external sound card (I hope you have a soundcard on your motherboard) but it would be too much to ask so, let's go the easy way, let's wait to see if somebody will turn up with this configuration and soundbug, or not. ~S~ |
I have an nVidia GPU and I'm using the motherboard's sound chip and I experience the sound bug.
In the first MP game I tried after the latest patch the sound bug appeared within about 2 mintues, it then actually came good again about 5 mins later (yes I held out that long testing other things :)) The next day I flew for maybe 20 minutes, respawned a couple of times and no bug whatsoever. Both servers were patched to the latest version as well. (I guess they'd have to be as it was the official steam patch :)) |

one minit flying fine next , your hit and you dont even know it , no engine sounds either of enemy fly-by. and i hate to say it. i got a copy of wings of prey .., compare the two . ill say no more , but some thing gone wrong ...with COD and im not buying a GTX580 just to bloody fly this thing..lol |

Have been testing some things at the REPKA server as usual and I got bored (no players) and for the first time I went to a different server (the only one with a lot of players inside) actualy one where the REPKA islands game was running... Took off and when I went to external mode NO SOUND !!!!! ;) I had the sound bug!! :)) Inside the plane sound was OK. I continued flying. When after some minutes I used the external view, sound was back there. Interesting.... |

Sorry for my lousy english! |
Windows 7 x64, CPU: Intel E8400, Motherboard Gigabyte: GA-EP45-DS3R, Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 480, Sound Card: x-fi extreme music + Realtek onboard.
Given up playing, get the issue on dedicated and onboard sound. |
I've noticed that I only loose my sound when I open/close my radiator using the keyboard. If I use the mouse to open/close it the sound does not quit. Go figure?
|
was playing online and then suddenly sound is no more....LOL
|
ive played for hours online today and no loss of sound.
|
Guys, I think this is becoming a Sherlok Holmes case...
Can we get organised in order to try to understand what is the common factor among those who have it (the sound bug) and those who do not? It has to be some combination among, hardware and servers we play at. I never had this bug but ONCE I experienced it, on a different server than the one I usually fly at, while looking outside view (inside cockpit everything was OK) this lasted some tiem and then vanished (outside view & inside cockpit sound was OK). So the server played a role after all. ~S~ |
ive tried quite a few servers , including the island of doom.. 33 players , that night , and still had sound bug, when in outside view i had no sound ..lol...then back in cockpit sound ..?? then hit ..didn't hear anything ,look at wings of prey ..its beautiful ...sound, speed , ground detial, ...i just cant get my head round COD...six years in the making ...i admit ive gone back to il-2 and the hyperlobby servers ...but i do have hope ..

Got the bug.
Specs in sig. Onboard sound Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 32) |
I have a Nvidia GPU (GTX 470) and experienced the sound bug in 3 configurations:
- with my USB headset (Creative Fatal1ty) which is my usual config - with my motherboard sound - with a Creative Audigy sound card On some missions I get lapses with sounds going away and back, but if the missions involve a lot of AI spawning straight at the beginning, then the sound always dies immediately and totally, and given that I mostly fly online to fly coop with a few friends, this has killed the game for us. |

So what the hell is happening about this problem, has anybody actually mentioned anything about a fix because i feel ive been ripped off totally with this game.... I am not a happy chap:evil:
i get to play for 5 to 10 mins then the sound is totally gone, just wish theyd sort this out, why wasnt it one of the first fixes?? |

I usually get this bug in multiplayer but i've just had it happen in the RAF single player campaign! The sound went all choppy when a group of he111's appeared then it went completly. It's killing this sim.
|
Same happened with the JG Campaign to me yesterday. A restart of the mission solved it though...

i have had the sound issue, but not for about 4 days now, and in those 4 days i have been flying online a lot, i tried alsorts, but heres something it might be or might not be, it may just be coincidence, i disabled all enhancements in windows 7 control panel (sound section) and reduced the sound quality to CD, has anyone else tried this?? like i say it may be coincidence, but since i did that i aint had one issue with sound.
|
My Win 7 sound quality was already reduced to CD unfortunately (from before COD was released), and I've been experiencing the sound bug a lot...
