German campaign soon to be posted

I will soon be posting 'the missing German campaign' on 'Airwarfare.com'. The campaign is based on JG26 flying from Caffiers in the opening phase of the 'Battle of Britain'. You will fly as Maj. Galland with your 'expert' wingman Joachim Muencheberg protecting you.

There are approximately 14 missions which are all historically accurate and fully scripted.

Attached are some pics, with more to come.

I would like to specially thank Capt_Farrel and his excellent skins which have made this campaign 'come alive'.

Thanks for doing this.

Big thanks for the hard work on campaiqn in this non-campaiqn enviroment.I mean how to make good campaiqn when there is no award system, or post reports of events, flight command room with noticeboard with your fellow airmen and so on.They could at least copy the old one from sturmovik 1946,although it was dry a bit too.:)
Looks like the developers forget its a game after all and it should have all the aspects.;)

Looks wery interesting! Thanks for Your work, I'll going to try it! :)

Pluto 06-08-2011 09:10 AM

...great that someone cares for a campagne in this sim, the thing they call campagne now is not worth the name.

But only 14 missions ?

:):(

dflion 06-08-2011 09:31 AM

Pluto - more to come

Pluto, I will gradually make some more missions. Because the FMB is not fully functional yet, the missions I make take a long time to test to make them acceptable. I am trying very hard, under the circumstances? Because there is no FMB 'how to operate' text, it is very much 'trial and error'?

DFLion

PS I am learning 'more and more' all the time, as I construct each mission!

Cheers dflion.

Great, thanks for making one. Can't wait to try it out :)

JG52Krupi 06-08-2011 04:29 PM

Awesome, will have to take a peak at this.

Good work.

dflion 06-09-2011 12:36 AM

Up to nine missions so far

I am up to nine missions so far. The Convoys have been stopped and the Luftwaffe is turning its attention onto radar sites and airfields. The Bf110 now comes into play more with JG26 flying protection 'frie jagds' - plenty happening in each mission.

LcSummers 06-09-2011 06:49 AM

Cool. Now we will get some Campaigns and good missions.

... good argument, you are right.

I have made 4 or 5 missions but only for use in single missions for personal training purpose, so I know how long it takes to do that.

It was not meant as a complaint, just as a question, sorry,...

...thanks for your reply, please excuse the impatient sounding question, I didnt write it to complain, I know its not so easy with this mission builder but I`m glad someone takes the time to do it, I dont have it.
Thank you!

:)

No, I must apologise. I got slightly irritated at what I perceived to be a greedy so-and-so not satified with free content. It was off the mark and none of my business anyway. :)

JG52Krupi 06-09-2011 08:41 AM

So where are the missions :D I can't wait to get my mits on them.

Do you have an eta?

JG52Krupi, I have enjoyed testing these missions and I know you will enjoy them too. I finished the 10th mission today - I am into 'Adlerangriff' (Eagle Attack). These missions are a bit more complicated, a lot more aircraft in the sky. Working in the FMB, I am still having problems with COD, occasionally it resets everything? Sadly, it is still very unstable at times? (Take note Ilya)

'Pluto' don't worry, you haven't upset me, it just takes a bit longer to construct these missions in the current COD version level.

Quick update. The campaign is finished, I am just completing final testing and adding a few ground objects here and there. Should be posting shortly on Airwarfare.com

The campaign historically follows Adolf Galland's III/JG26 from the 21st July to the 15th August 1940, based at Caffiers. Mission 11 has a lot of aircraft flying and seems to drastically effect FPS (I would be interested in feedback on this mission).

Sadly, not all things are working properly in the FMB and it has taken me a long time to co-ordinate the missions to make them work properly. I will post some more pics shortly.
