Spitfire fun in London
2 Minute video showing details of the CoD urban modelling at high speed.;) All full settings
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtNS8uNL1fw I recorded at slow speed and corrected with movie editor to ensure a smooth image. :) The close-up detail of the city is amazing and unmatched. This game is ahead of its time, we still need some more hardware development for this game to be fully appreciated. :) Please view in full HD for best effect. :) |
Awe Maria!
:) |
Drop Dead Gorgeous video. And as allways ofc, Keep em coming :)
|
Just watched once, where was popup ??
|
You can't shoot Buck Pal, Palace of Westminster etc. High Treason!!
Nice vid though ;) PPP |

Must be a Brit thing.:( |
What do you guys do to escape Nintendo's Super Mario green? Time of the day? Graphic driver tweaks?
Nice video BTW. |
friggin fantastic. Only missed a guy on a bike (from fmb).
Can understand that shooting at english symbols like that upsets one or two. I'd left that out. |
hey man! i love your videos! one question, did u correct the color? the color hue in ur video looks more natural than the in game one.

Bloody marvellous !!!!!
Gotta be the London video to end all London videos :) Fantastic work ! |
The effects on the Spit skin is insane, matt at some angles glossy at others etc.
Nice job. |

Stone him...;)
|
just made me realize some immersion breakers over London: lack of sidewalks, lack of painting in the streets; those could have easily been drawn onto textures with no impact on performance whatsoever; the lack of these features make London look like a bunch of houses cluttered in the field with village roads in between... the main problem is that it doesn't end up looking very 'urban' at low alt... but nice vid anyway

Great video and very fitting soundtrack.
Strangely, I thought the video would have been even better without the shooting...just looking at the Spit in all her glory was enough. But still, nice vid. :) |
What is this soundtrack?Title

Im not religious, but its nice soundtrack  |
I didn't notice before some nice details: bullets on stone facades produce a cascade of debris and dust ... why the hell they felt the need to create this impact effect? :)

(as for the comment of English not knowing how to play football*, I'd run for cover if I were you hehehe ;) ) *it's football, not soccer, for further clarifications please see below http://img.chan4chan.com/img/2009-02...3533359067.jpg |

The football/soccer was a bait.
Here's another one: why do some call themselfs english when they really are brittish? I wish England where better cause I don't like La Liga or the primadonnas in Serie A but fact is they suck right now just like France. Sven-Goran tried to shape em up but didn't go all the way. |

Thank god.:rolleyes::grin: |

I can understand the shooting of various objects in order to see what happens. I can even understand doing that to important historic monuments and buildings. But setting those actions to this type of music defies all logic to me.
I see nothing of the grace and beauty of the music reflected in what I see, speaking from a purely creative perspective. I just don't get it. |

Amazing!! Very good job!! A++ |

Once again I would appeal for a reality check before posting such comments on the discomfort of seeing buildings being strafed.. |
Lol, Luthier and team really did get the ball rolling in the "whine"/critique department.

Shooting up major monuments is bad enough and a Court Martial offence resulting in being cashiered (like a certain Mr Pollock). Shooting up Chez Ma'am is definitely treason, its the Tower and the Block for you my boy! And a queue of people wanting to get their hands on the Axe! EDIT: hmmm.... I think Sternjaegers next on the list :) |

Excellent!

Say in Il-2 (original) we were not able also to destroy some historical buildings (objects) due to this reason. |

It's the same nonsense of the prohibition of the swastika in model kits in countries like Germany, as in saying that building a 1/72 scale Bf109 with accurate Nazi markings will somehow magically turn you into a Nazi fanatic.. Governments are good in stopping us from using common sense.. |

It made me squirm in my seat a little bit is all.:) |
:) I was surprised at the height of Nelsons Column, maybe it is because we have got used to the modern skyline which is alot higher now and lack of other buildings around.
The houses at times look like rows of railway carriages. A good video though and something the developers should have been doing to promote the game. I am surprised by the smaller details when they haven't got some larger basics correct ie engine sounds, cockpits and lack of some landmarks and inaccurate maps. You state you had to edit it to get it to show smooth "I recorded at slow speed and corrected with movie editor to ensure a smooth image." What was the quality of the gameplay before editing? Thanks for the video ,very nice.:) |

Thanks Trumper:) You can reduce game speed up to 1/16 of normal speed. With my "outdated" rig (intel 4 core and GTX480 card) the gameplay at normal speed was stuttering with flickering and pop-ups but depending on the amount of objects on the screen the fps changed between 10 and 30. The video fps is 25. If you record at 1/16 game speed then a game fps of 2 will result into a perfectly smooth video when normalized to the correct game speed in the movie editor (Sony Vegas). Even all tree and building flickering disappears with the final video. With the slow game speed I do not experience building pop-ups either.:) Again I think this game is ahead of its time; we need the future super computers to run this game like soap and then it will be appreciated for what it is intended for.:) |

I do only run at 1680x1050 as im still using a 22in lcd. Nice video by the way, I wish they would have building crossing roads , but Im sure someone can straighten the roads, buidings etc out some day, it does still look quite good imo. |

All settings max I experience just once the 2 fps when flying past the parliament building tower and passing through the bullet impact debris/dust cloud where you can see hundreds of small pieces of glass?. |

Luthier himself said that next patch will be even more optimized for quads or over to the extent that frames are almost doubled. That would give me a smooth London ride with my iMac. But I agree that anything pre2011 is probably not enough to see all the candy even when optimized. |

Lets introduce some context here: Auschwitz Treblinka Belsen and many other camps. 20 Million Russians killed. 6 million Jews killed. And Europe devastated. oh, and 56,000 RAF bomber crew members killed. I suggest you think before posting about allied firebombing:rolleyes: The Battle of Britain was one of humanity's finest hours Stephen Bungay, The Most Dangerous Enemy. Best Regards, MB_Avro. |
I friendly suggest to drop this OT nonsense.
