Was just going to post about this, running two GTX 570's in SLI here and will test it later ... this is the *next* Nvidea driver Luthier said would support SLI in CoD, no word of IL2 CoD in the documentation, just other games, but CoD is small fry compared to them I guess ... hopefully CoD was included in this driver release and we don't have to wait for the next Nvidea driver because unlike ATI ... Nvidea drivers don't come out every month.

Dr str@nglove 06-01-2011 12:36 PM

there`s no sli profile in the nvidia control settings

Tiger27 06-01-2011 12:48 PM

Looks like you dont need to wait for the next driver release, the profiles can be added on the fly according to this

In Release 275, NVIDIA Update adds automatic SLI, multi-GPU, and antialiasing (AA) profile updates. These profile updates are automatically downloaded from NVIDIA and silently installed on your PC, keeping it up-to-the-minute with the latest game profiles.

If nvidia knows they have to add a profile for CloD wich i doubt meanwhile. SLI seems to be FAR down on the list obviously and disapointingly (is there a word such as this?:).

You may be right but there is a lot better chance of getting one this way than waiting for a special release for CoD that just isnt going to happen, unlike WitcherII, seems they have focused on that whatever witcherII is?

I would think Luthier would have contacted them but CoD will be well down the list for profiles.

Sauf 06-01-2011 01:07 PM

SLI is working fine with COD for me, I just added the launcher exe to the "battlefield2 bad company" profile in nvidia inspector (as posted in these forums) and am getting the best fps Ive had, both GPU's working np.

Tree_UK 06-01-2011 01:10 PM

Luthier said the next Nvidia driver would include CLOD profile, so it should be in there

He said:

"NVidia SLI support will become available when a profile for the game is added in an upcoming official driver release"

I dont see the word "next" in his quote.

Having the onscreen display telling you that both GPUs are working does not necessarily mean that you actually get more performance thou. If your Framerate with SLI woorking does not increase for at least 30% i would bet on that SLI is not properly working. Might be kind of a "placebo" effect:)

More than doubles my fps, and my card temp goes from 64 to 95 with it enabled, EVGA precision, Nvidia gadget ect confirm it as well, its not a placebo effect

garengarch 06-01-2011 01:32 PM

and I can verify Saufs findings.

Just download nvidia inspector Valalo and select the battlefield profile in the drop down list and add COD launcher to it, that way everytime you start COD it will start automatically.

Clu43 06-01-2011 01:49 PM

Guys,,275 nvidia drivers are Beta,,not released version..I think Luthier mentioned proper sli will be released upon the final released version of 275 nvidia drivers. My understanding anyway.

garengarch 06-01-2011 01:55 PM

Thks Sauf, but what version download to nvidia inspector, V:1.94????

Thaks Mate, and Clu43, this patch is the last final patch, not beta of Nvidia, and the friend Luthier said that in this patch, SLI will be working...

Clu43 06-01-2011 02:39 PM

My apologies.,,:o.,,iI think i need stronger coffee..

I am using inspector version 1.9.5.5

miker8 06-01-2011 06:04 PM

I'm using this new driver but without using NvidiaInspector, still no sli, correct me when Í'm wrong but there is also no new file in the list which is dedicated to IL2-CoD,...gues we have to wait

15.Span_Valalo 06-01-2011 06:06 PM

Ok, I have a problem... With the new patch Nvidia, SLI is Runnig, the game work beter and I have 50 - 60 fps but with FullScreen and VSYN the land and water change to intermittent tonaliti... and flashes but game is fluid and good fps but dont play more flashes...

I have to change configuratio to Pseudo Screen and disable VSYN. and FPS lows 30 - 40 fps but I can play more or less...

How can I do to repair this? any idea?? thks.

miker8 06-01-2011 06:15 PM

Valalo, thats why most of us don't use the forced sli, you get better fps but in return glitches, freeses/stutters, rivers/roads changing shape and directions ectr...

335th_GRAthos 06-01-2011 06:25 PM

Guys, SLI is working since last week it was also posted here
http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23199

with performance result, doubles (almost) fps but, it is almost there, not there yet (maybe the official patch helps but I have not downloaded it yet).

A lot of the things you need to know is posted there...

Small hint from my side: Monitor your GPU temperature...

I beg to disagree, it will be enough if ten of us fax NV their receipts for their acquired GPUs of the past 18 months and I am sure NVIDIA will be highly motivated ;)

miker8 06-01-2011 07:38 PM

Thx GRAthos, sofar this was the best tweak ,no more glitches or weird rivers and roads in sli, I'm using everything maxed out also on a single card 470gtx OC'ied, with sli the fps is much better...but the stutters are bugging me to the point that I still prefer the smoothnes but less fps of a single card, wil try some more tweaking though and mayby we can find the answer ourself...

Well, if you manage to install the driver of this thread on your card.... I guarantee you tripple the fps you have... ;-)

@miker8
Good point, to be honest, the only time I have strange behaviour with SLI is when I run the BLACK DEATH benchmark :-O
When I fly online (over England, on islands maps) I do not experience this problem as when watching BlackDeath in SLI mode.
So, I fly SLI all the time (and do not play Black Death :) )
I have also installed the whole game on a 6GB RAMDRIVE; It is probably a placebo effect but it works fine for me ;)

On the other side, I never experienced stutters with CoD so I am not sure anymore what it really is. I remember the "micro-stutters" we had sometimes with IL2FB, this I have yet to experience in CoD.

My only serious problem was that my SLI cards go to 92° C I installed an additional fan and now I have steady 85° so this is fixed, too.

For the rest, time will tell...

And on a single GPU.....??

Has anyone used these new 275.33 drivers on a single GPU? (Mine's a GTX570)

I'm currently running 270.61. Is it worth upgrading to 275.33?

JG52Krupi 07-04-2011 10:19 AM

Why would you not update...

Because some games go backwards with new drivers. It happened quite often in IL-2, some people had to roll their drivers back to an earlier version. I don't know how CoD will react to it especially as its not even supported by Nvidia yet.

Need to know from someone who has tried it.

Tiger27 07-04-2011 12:42 PM

Ive been using them with a gtx560ti and havent had any issues, can't recall if they improved fps from the previous set though.

skouras 07-04-2011 01:44 PM

same here no problem with GTX 580
