WOW @ Multiplayer
I've been really enjoying multiplayer, albeit there aren't many people on when I start playing(pm USA).
One of my questions is, why is there a loadout issue in single player, but in multiplayer I have no issues at all? Weird I know. Second question. I have been flying the 109 since everyone seems to wanna fly spit and I have no issues with is, but when I go into a dive about half way through it starts to shake violently and will do so if I keep the throttle up. If I power down, no shaking. I've messed with the pitch but no dice. The plane can maintain some speed during this but it is very aggravating. No damage reported during dive. This makes it even harder to aim. Last question, is there another "host" for multiplayer like hyperlobby etc? Thanks guys |
Welcome , HL is in the works but is not working at present, as for the shaking remember this is a `109E not a 109K :) just mind your pitch, rev and engine temp and you should be fine.
if you like doing historical based missions and ongoing campaigns send me a PM s! |
the loadout section seems to be working in MP, however, the plane customization still doesnt.
Also, never exceed 700km/h in the 109. It starts shaking even earlier you ask? Well, that may very well be the case ^^ |
ya but once I level out and get back to about 200 km/h it shakes constantly until I lower the throttle. Then when I raise it back up it starts shaking again.
Temps are good, 89/90 Celsius on oil and not over 120 on engine.' My pitch starts around 11:30-12:00 and RPMs 2000-2500. Maybe I over revved it? So maybe if I lower pitch before dive this may fix it. I remember reading something about the pitch changing slowly and that causing people to kill the engine, Ill have to try it. I got a few kills tonight but nothing near my old IL-2 ratio  Can't wait for more servers to go online. I just don't care for the full real servers that don't allow external views. We get these beautiful planes I wanna see em! |
I suppose its possible you threw a rod by over-revving the engine in the dive.
I fly Hurricanes mainly now and dont have enough experience with the 109 to say exactly what happened. I do know that one time I started up the hurri and then shut it down before take-off. I fired it up again and the engine wouldnt stop shaking and I had to respawn the plane. It never over heated or anything so maybe theres just some kind of general bug with the engines. In this case though I would say you over-revved it and threw a rod, or perhaps bent a pushrod or two causing the loss of a cylinder. Lots of things can go wrong with an engine when you start pushing it too hard. |
I think you are right, I hate that this screwed up my flight, but I love that it is in the game. I was so against CEM but now that I have flown it, I love it.

I dont understand its happened a few times now in the spit and hurri and is damm annoying when youve spent along time getting to ALT.. bearing in mind im keeping the throttle wide open but am using PP to keep the revs down...Oil and Water temps are fine and i get no DMG messages, try adjusting mixture and makes no difference..im always around the 10k mark so dont know its thats coincidence or not.. as said already when you chop the throttle to more or less closed the shakes will stop as soon as you open it again very violent shakes with loss of power So its either Dmg'd and the game doesnt show the Msg Engine is overheated but Dials are not accurate Bug |

So its either Dmg'd and the game doesnt show the Msg Engine is overheated but Dials are not accurate Bug[/QUOTE] Exactly what happens, the gauges even shake violently. I still haven't tried it but it may be just an over-rev and the prop pitch needs to be decreased before dive. With the 109 this would be extremely annoying as it takes forever. |

Welcome btw! Try Repka servers ) |

Max. water temp is around 95°C, limit getting lower with altitude. Max oil temp is 80°C, remember there is normal oil, not 10W-40 with tons of additives!! |
Hi Rolltide!
The 109 is a very effective plane and u can easy handle it in every situation when u know its strongness If u got a headset and ventrilo running i will bring u through the technical handling. If you are new with the 109 or also interested for group flights or advanced tactical group attacks, feel free to join our squad. You will find me on Steam as =JG26=Absolut(wien), or direct through Ventrilo http://legionxiii.org/node/96 A german fighter pilot needs no mirror! He got his wingman! |
Thanks for the Welcome guys, I look forward to flying with you all. I have tried most of the servers and really like what is going on. I'll have to make sure I checks you guys out. It's all about who ya know.

You should never have more then 3000 RPM in a dive. If you have more, you damage your engine, and you don`t get a massage.
Max RPM in the 109 and only for a short time shoul be 2468 (and 1,45 ata) |
