Anyone know japanese?
Gents ... Anyone know Japanese? ... Who can translate whole list of gauges on panel?
http://s7.hostingkartinok.com/upload...88d9c528a6.jpg |
I don't really know japanese, although I can recognize some stuff, that's all.
Search for "零式輸送機22型" here. http://gunsight.jp/c/cockpit-3D.htm Specifically for this image: http://gunsight.jp/c/image3/type0trn-mod22-s.jpg There's nothing there in higher resolution, unfortunately. Maybe you can deduce the instruments, compare them to other jap. aircraft already made and ingame. If anybody is wondering, the panel in the magazine scan is the L2D's [licensed jap. C-47 copy] (type 22 variant). |

Thanks for the information ...
but even in that size half of gauges is difficult to recognize |

I've just reached out to a workmate who has a Japanese wife. Seeing if he or she can translate. Gos |

The L2D... sweet <3 <3
Thank Sita for all your work! |
Quote:
My first choice would be the Li-2, since it was used in every role that the C-47 was, plus many more. And, due to the nature of the war on the Eastern Front, it saw a lot more combat action. |
Cool maybe the ju-52 next?
|
I'm Japanese. I can read this.
But I can't speak English well. (And, I'm drinking beer now.) Sorry my poor English. left ・In first column. This say about "This illustration is the one of Model22. Used in combat from 1936-45, often in combat, sometimes used as a bomber. Served in every theater where the Nazis fought. The "starring" plane in many critical battles (paratroop landings on Denmark/Norway, Eben Emal/Belgium, Crete, Cap Bon/North Africa, attempted relief of Stalingrad). Trimotor layout, which would make it really interesting to fly. |
for now situation is following ...
we have finished Li2 pits and from it we could do LD2 with no big issues ... because information about it is really limited by one Maru book ... it will be even easier than make from those pits DC-3 or C-47 ... because i don't think that some one can find all Lables and technician tables from that pit ... so from most of that labels which now present in Li2 pit we must refuse ... For C-47 from Li2 pit will be more difficult ... plus i'm now specialist in foreing for me Planes ... About Ju-52 ... yeah .. i interested in that plane too ... but like i said before ... i'm not spec in DE or US planes ... |
Quote:
I can easily get access to the cockpit and interior of a real-life C-47A Skytrain warbird (dropped paratroops on D-Day) if you want photos. Send me a PM if you're interested and tell me what you need. Since the C-47 was unarmed, it would be the easiest of the three DC-3 variants to make flyable in the game. No gunner stations to animate. |

Thanks major)
for what those levers are responsible I know I need characters that are written on the nameplate. they are also harder to read I need images of these characters |

This plane has two clocks. Really? |

any chance to get those picts higher resolution? Quote:
|
This is top page.
http://gunsight.jp/b/index.htm and http://gunsight.jp/c/index.htm This person is studying Japanese WWII air plane's cockpit panel. He's selling the research result as 3D-CG. When informing what to use that and paying money, maybe you can get high-resolution material. Probably. |
Very exciting news. Thanks for your effort Sita, you're really doing a wonderful job. I hope we'll be able to drop paratroopers and supplies in the near future.
|
Quote:
And the dropping feature would be good! |
Quote:
Or, one is set to local time and the other is a stopwatch or "time of flight" counter. That would be handy for dead-reckoning navigation if there isn't a dedicated navigator station. FWIW, here's an interesting site for aircraft clocks. You'll notice that some of the WW2 era gauges have inset time of flight counters. http://relojdeavion.es/INDEX%20IN.html |
Quote:
For me 2 clocks sounds logic, one for the pilot, the other for the copilot |
major.kudo, i need your help .... again)
can you read some from that pict? read and show to me how it's looks like ... https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/1555...47623_XXXL.jpg dirrect link for full size pict https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/1555..._3f547623_orig |
I wrote by guesses during this is also included.
http://gachopin.no-ip.info/kudo/0_fb...547623_bis.jpg I can write more many ones by guess. But some of characters doesn't match my expectation for those. When there are no high resolution pictures, it's more difficult any more. |
ok it's more than half name plate from panel ... good result! Thanks alot)
it's most biggest pict that i have ... |
once again i want ask help from major.kudo
https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/4127...b5def_XXXL.jpg may be with that table you could recognize something else on board? i think that i recognize turn indicator and rate of climb gauge name plate ... table from that page http://gunsight.jp/b/english/data/j-reading.htm |

There are 3 notices.
1.There is also something written by my guess. So some of characters may be different from the real things. Some of "can't read" are the word by which I think it was right from the shape of the gauge was written. 2.Maybe you notice. Several gauges are different from this explanation. http://s7.hostingkartinok.com/upload...88d9c528a6.jpg I think there is some inaccurate part for the explanation picture shown first. 3.I made some mistake. I wrote some wrong characters in the last picture. Therefore those were corrected. Attention to red triangles. Many characters of Japanese are changed in about 1946 to 1950. I have written the modern characters before. Today, I used old characters. |
1 Attachment(s)
I noticed another. I'm sorry for my mistakes.
I knew today the 5th character to have been changed during about 70 years. I think this font is also near the real thing, too. |
as always Thanks to you major.kudo))

This is an interesting picture again.
...I'll synthesize and think information on the picture checked so far. Then there is two type of fuel level gauge as the big difference. A. Round and small fuel level gauge. Fuel tank switching lever is put at different place. B. Tank switching lever and fuel level gauge included together in large square panel. Sita, Are you thinking which to use? |
i think Variant A ... because on pict from Maru book we can see two small round gauge ... - fuel indicator and fuel tank selector ....
that Big B/W photo of pilot panel is from Tess ... so i think need work with scheme from Teddy ... |
once again i want ask for the help ....
from that scheme https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/1615...2736b_XXXL.jpg i need 31 and 32 position ... would be really great if someone have seen some of that gauges ... |
ok ... i think i found 31 - fuel gauge ...
https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/5818...2768a_orig.jpg but i still don't have any good pict of fuel tank selector .... oh ... almost forgot ... number 3 on scheme ... what is it could be? how it looks like? |
1 Attachment(s)
So Gents ... i find almost all what i need to make Gauge panel for L2D...except vertical and rectangular Flaps indicator ... and second one is - fuel tank reading selector ...
(look on pict) |
Nice job Sita and Major Kudo! please continue; I am begging you!

Fuel tank reading reading for four fuel tant .. 1L 2L diasble 1R 2R i think in L2D must be same number of tanks ... Li2 Dc3 C47 have in most left front, right front left rear, right rear fuel tanks .. Front may be similar to Main |

no need to begging .. work slowly goes forward ... slowly but goes ... Big Thanks to Major ... with out his help i can't do anything ... soon ... may be on next week i'll show first visible results ... |

as far i ubderstand that text is on the plane on gauge panel ...
thanks for the translation ... i'll make that name plate for pit ... |

So Gents ... finally i'm ready to show some visible results of our work here ...
Great Thanks to Major.Kudo and to all who were interested... |
as you can see i still i didn't have fuel tank reading selector ...

i have that book ... but that book does not contain needed gauge ...
|
This one?
http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...AuDtQSYj_A.jpg Well as IJN & IJA used licence built American gauges, perhaps just apply the japanese text if worse comes to worse. |
Unfortunately no ... i want single round fuel tank reading indicator...

corrected.
|
Thanks again) ... will fix it ...
it's totally foreign plane for me ... |
1 Attachment(s)
but i have small objection)
about carb air temp gauge ... if we compare with gauge panel from Tess we can see carb air temp with mark from -40 till +60 ... gauge with mark from -60 till +40 is air thermometer |

Sorry. I didn't notice until you pointed that point out.

I think there are no parts where it's already wrong.
Maybe this is last check of cockpit panel. Isn't there difference recognition of gauges? |
i think all is correct ... but like i said before ... we still missing fuel reading selector ...
and all fo that ... it's only half of issue ... next big issue is two electrical panels in front upper part of pit .... with Magneto selector for two engines ... plus ... in Li2 i have alot name plate on Russian ... at now i think i'll delete most of it ... or may be just erase any letters on it ... because it can't be translate to Japanese in correct way .... because at first it need translate to English ...and after it translate to Japanese .. to many chance to make a wrong transation ... |

that panel i mean ...

Attention is collected in levers first.
And I think some of levers are incongruous. Please check these. |
1 Attachment(s)
all needles, levers and switches now are set to zero or Off position ... because it's only working model ...
i replace nameplate on engines levers ... for new font and made it for 10 percent smaller than it was ... |
Another question for you Gents ... which color of paint are used in interiors of Japanese transport plane? ...
for now i have pit painted in A-14 ( Soviet gray paint like it was in Li2 ) as far i understand for L2D it must be some green color ... |

|
Cockpit paint color.
I think the A31 is nearest. Or http://www.mr-hobby.com/en/itemDetail.php?iId=87 This is paint for plastic injection model. Find "C127" Several L2D were made by NAKAJIMA AIRCRAFT. But in Japanese navy, the color of the paint depends on a production factory. So I can't say "C127 is right" clearly. |
