Wellington Flyable in the Future?

Just wondering if the Wellington will ever be a flyable aircraft in CoD?

Yeah...this would be a nice old bird to fly,one can dream.

Crescent 04-26-2011 01:31 PM

Any answer from the people themselves?

BigPickle 04-26-2011 07:44 PM

+1 Wellington for the win

Doc_uk 04-28-2011 07:33 PM

+1
I had the Wellington add-on for fsx, and i got to say it was brilliant, flew it from heathrow to france many a time:grin:

Crescent 05-01-2011 09:10 AM

Any feedback from the producers on this?

Katana1000S 05-01-2011 07:29 PM

I'd like to see a flyable Wellington (and other aircraft) too, but there is probably a lot more to sort out first ... I'm no hater, love the sim, just saying

kendo65 05-02-2011 11:03 AM

Crescent, no answer from the devs on the Wellington.

Only thing mentioned so far is more versions of the 109E in near future.

JG53Frankyboy 05-02-2011 11:12 AM

well, further versions of a 109E are easy to make..... 3D work wise ;)

Wellington would be much much more work... but anyway, it would be also on my top list for a future flyables:
first i love flying bombers, second the RAF needs a plane that can carry more than 1000lb of bombs :D

but true, a LOT of things have first to be solved in this game !!!
can you imagine a Wellington with the CEM and startbehaviour like the Blenheim ??? than better not ! IMHO :)

warbirds 05-03-2011 07:02 PM

I can imagine a B-17 with the detail and CEM of the othe planes. It would be amazing.

Stirling; I need an ugly fix.

Richie 11-09-2011 01:35 AM

I just wan't an F4 and some auto prop pitch :(

Tavingon 11-13-2011 01:55 PM

Need more planes, the Blenheim was a riot but now its stale.. Need more bombers... Would love these beasts also

I like the cumbersome mean looks of the Stirling too, it was the poor brother to the Lancaster I guess?

Going by the tone of posts here, am I correct in understanding we wont have any additional Aircraft for IL2 CoD? I sincerely hope not.

I've not being keeping up on the politics of the sim, sorry.

Flying H 12-28-2011 09:07 PM

OHH yeah, Stirling and Hampden would be a real treat! (Besides the Wellington of course!)

berthier92 06-06-2012 05:53 AM

The Armstrong Whitney and Handley-page Hampden (Flying suitcase) would be awesome. would be cool to have at Ju-86 and Do-17z (made flyable) on the german side too

Tavingon 07-17-2012 08:49 PM

One can dream...

Plt Off JRB Meaker 09-10-2012 03:34 PM

Yeah,a flyable Wimpy would've reignited my interest in this sim,but to date as far as I'm concerned it's lost it's appeal, sad.

Osprey 09-11-2012 12:28 PM

Meaker, glad to see you've got 1 eye on COD. Please pop by on Thursday evening on comms, would be good to talk to you.

Also, we're looking at a 1946 campaign too, there would be zero performance troubles with that! PM me matey :)
