Boy, does the Blenheim love to turn right :S ?

Am i the only muppet who cant taxi the Blenheim onto the runway without either struggling to keep it straight or without managing to blow out its engines before take off... i know the engine water temp limit is roughly 250 but hell! you cant even taxi it to the runway... AI seems to have no problem... doesnt even have to wait for the engines to warm up...

Bug and a half i think?! :S

Comments welcomed!

Ross

P.S i use the trims too...

NO, its a muppet show Mr. Cermit.:-P

I have the same problems too. Other aircraft are behaving well but the Blenheim is too hard for me. It likes the right side, maybe a Jerry plane?
So Ross you are not alone.;)

Use less power on the left engine until you are in the air, then trim trim trim! ;)

... have done that... pain in the arse though - with only one physical throttle...engine 0 deselected... engine 1 selected... etc etc lol... :!:

It was difficult the first few times but with a little practice I can get it off the ground no problems every time (full realism).

mcler002 04-21-2011 02:52 PM

not saying i cant get it off... its just the taxi'in thats the pain...

Check the tailwheel.
It appears to be stuck.

Huh? But you said:

"Am i the only muppet who cant taxi the Blenheim onto the runway without either struggling to keep it straight or without managing to blow out its engines before take off"

If you can take off then you should be able to taxi easily enough, getting it moving from a standing start is the hardest part.

Before ANYTHING else in the Cross-country mission... Just try to center the rudder trim. It seems to help. Also, there might be a crosswind on the runway...

mcler002 04-22-2011 03:35 PM

aye...

the shortest time i have managed to taxi the aircraft to the runway was a good 10 - 15min (of the top of my head)... trying to get the trims correct, waiting for the engine to warm up, but not let them over heat etc etc...

Just seems very difficult compared to the other selection of aircraft...

I tried taking off from another airfield... same problem...

problems with taxiing can also result from the *crazy* wind modelling on the ground. So you should maybe check your mission weather settings
