Vibrating Shadows

I’m getting vibrating shadows in scenery…next trees, buildings, etc. Anyone else? Is there a fix?

I've have this "problem" with two different video cards (both ATI).

Langnasen 04-18-2011 10:54 PM

He was busy throwing a fit after looking at the flickering shadows.

... the same with my game. When I look out of the window (sideways) I can see flickering cloudshadows on the ground.

I got a qudrocore cpu
8GB RAM
NVidia GTX570

so hardware should not be the problem.

Do you have ShadowMapSize=5 in conf.ini (in Docs\il2 folder)?

Try playing with landshadows settings in game.

Run a quick mission at 4-5am - when the sun rises, there are some phases when it'll strobe like god's listening to venetian snares.

Now that was fit inducing.

e: but yeah, the shadows are flickery for me too

FZG_Immel 04-19-2011 11:49 AM

Same here. tree shadows flickering make the game uglier than it should. must be fixed-

PeterPanPan 04-19-2011 11:55 AM

Yup, same here, but it's not currently a deal breaker.

SG1_Lud 04-19-2011 12:01 PM
