Ju88A4 - a Bomber that flies like a heavy Fighter
Bf110 - it just looks great, and it is fast
Bf109F4 - its a beauty, not a big brute like most other fighters

i don´t like modern planes, they are not sexy...

PT-17 Stearman
F8f Bearcat
F-14D Tomcat

first one is the ultimate American Biplane (built to take a beating and last forever)

second one could barrel roll around the Pony on takeoff and was made of Iron

the last one because it is almost as sexy, smart and powerful as I am...and just a little more retired

Fossil-Goz 10-25-2007 02:02 AM

Lancaster - So I could get closer to understand my fathers experiences during the war. Also 1 Merlin good, 2 Merlin's better, 4 Merlins Heaven

Skyraider - Could carry all my stuff and still have room for more

Catalina - For those days you feel like climbing, diving and cruising at the same speed

Evil_Merlin 10-26-2007 02:22 AM

Easy!

The Mig-3, one of the most overlooked planes of the war. If only Russia used them as intended. Then again Germany didn't have high altitude bombers or fighters...

http://www.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/mig3/kriucov2r.jpg

Fw 190 family, but the Dora 13 is my favourite! The Ta-152 and 154 are also nice birds as well as the whole Bf 109C/D/E/F family, the G's are way over done today.

http://www.warbirdphotos.net/aviapix...0/fw190d13.jpg

And of the course, the Fokker D VIII. Way advanced for it's day. Too bad it had such a undeservedly bad reputation.

Other planes I can't get enough of:

Yak-3

You might have to arm-wrestle Rick Hunter for that last one.

Only 3!?! How about:

1) F-16C Block 30 big-mouth, tail #87-324. Not that I'm picky.

2) Fw-190D-9

Only 3!? :)

My immediate thoughts would be a P47N, 190D9 and a Sunderland. Or maybe a Seafury or maybe a P38 the again a Seahornet.

Thats not a MiG-1, its a MiG-3. The photo you used was taken on March 7, 1942, when the 120th IAP of Moscow Air Defence was was made Guards as the 12th Gv.IAP. The easiset way to tell with that image is the gear doors...

-Sulan- 11-11-2007 12:10 PM

I´d pick
1, FW-190D-9 - Because it´s beautiful and pretty fun to fly I´d imagine
2, The most expensive and luxurious Gulfstream (and a pilot to go with it :P )
3, A Mig-29 - For fun and for a short lifespan lol

TA-152 C (Despite it being such a hog :< )

I-153, the F22 of Biplanes
