GAINWARD GeForce GTX 560 Ti Phantom - 2 GB GDDR5
Link to other thread discussion 1Gb version >> http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=20524
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51I-NMMCUOL.jpg Just tested this card on my spare test rig in the office with a cheap old mobo and old core duo. Completely stock its my old clunker rig bullet proof with an Enermax EMG700AWT 700W PSU Had a Nvidia 9800GTX+ was pulling 20-30 fps over water on low settings on Dx9 tweak. GAINWARD GeForce GTX 560 Ti Phantom - 2 GB GDDR5 - PCI-Express 2.0 Its 2/3rd's the size of the old 9800 so it don't hit up against the hard drive caddies. From Amazon £220.00 inc P&P. Has gone up to £295.00 since last night ?? Performance from this looks great although its early days testing. Vsync on @60hz @ 50-60 fps over water on medium settings attacking bombers and smooth flying gunnery accuracy improved 60%, still to test land yet will do it tonight when I get time. Busy doing customer builds at the moment Later that day ( gave myself the afternoon off ) OK I ran the training mission "Take off" looks like a loss of 10-15 fps on the ground, the initial loading when spawning in takes a few seconds to settle, but seeing all the grass waving around and the vehicles moving along gave some immersion, especially the buildings and shadows...blah blah blah... basically the graphic upgrade was worth it on a low end PC. Interesting, thanks. How did you force vsync? I can't get it to work with my GTX285 and latest beta drivers.
|
And be careful,I think you just lost an activation!

Just changing a graphic card can use up an activation!
Just saying... |

Within 5 Working Days (FREE) £0.00 ------------------------------------------ Mine took 24 hours :) Even my usual PC parts suppliers couldn't get it that fast either. Nice card though compact too. |
For UK buyers, check out Scan.co.uk.
I used them to get the components for my recent build. Good prices. Great service. Recommended. Hey, KG26_Alpha,
Can you post some tests of VRAM usage and fps under different res (1680x1050 specially), everything high, over channel and over london, pre and post beta patch, for this card, please? |
Thanks a lot for the info Alpha, I got myself a core2duo @3.2Ghz and 8800 GTS and was wondering if investing in a good videocard would be waste of money to a such old hardware as mine, but now I just might order a new card. Cheers!

Upgraded Vid driver with new card and Vsync's not working. |
How's this card with the new beta patch, please?
|
Bump..
any more test results? I am thinking of getting a 560 Ti and am definitely interested in this thread. |
I bought a MSI Twin FrozR 560Ti last week, it's a 1GB version and runs CoD very nicely indeed, will post some benchies tomorrow hopefully.
|
I'm tossing up whether to get a 1 or 2gb 560ti card for CoD. Would like to go the 2gb version but they seem to be in very short supply where I live. Still haven't seem anything definitive that the 2gb cards offer better performance over the 1gb versions...

If you play at something like 1280x720 buy the 1GB version, at 1680x1050 you are at the limit. |
In reply to vram testing, Rivatuner don't recognize the latest Nvidia driver I'm using so I cant test, and don't know of another vram monitoring tool that I would trust.
Also After the patches arrived things got amazingly good with "Medium" settings across the board grass, roads etc on, FPS Avg up in the 70-80's online with v1.00.14072 Not yet tested "High/Very high" yet though :) |

guys, can we get a FRAM memory usage from this videocard, pretty please?
it is very important, videocard purchasing wise, what's the maximum amount of VRAM IL2 CoD is eating with everything on highest settings above London. |

Up to my eye balls with everything at the moment............ First chance I get I will post some Vram tests across various settings . |
Very interested in this thread KG, like many with Duel Cores and a similar spec to your PC , I want to replace my GFX card first (GTS250 512mb) and the CPU/mobo maybe next year when prices drop. Any feedback about the settings you can run comforatably, general improvements to visuals and smoothness (rather than just fps data) would be greatly appreciated.
|
This cards still knocking down everything I have to throw at it at work.......
Swapping it into my flying PC. I never did get around to testing the vram usage But will do it when I swap over . ;) |
