BF-109 Performance

i dont know what im doing wrong, or what i need to do... ut always in a dogfight with the bf-109 i have at full throttle only a bit more than 2000rpm... spitfires, hurricanes... running me out easily. what do i have to do??? i mean, its without complex engine management etc. so im wondering. the WEP doesnt seem to have any effect also.

and another thing. after landing and shutting the engine down, i cant start it again... always says "Engine Stopped". Magnetos: M1, fuel on, mix on, pressing I, "Engine Stopping"....

whats wrong?

Just a guess,try M2 for magneto (both mags)

Were not those MEs engines started with a hand crank, or electric generator ?

What i did in several attempts:

Fuel Cock 1: On
Mixture: On
Magnetos: M0, M1, M2, M1+2 (different in all the attempts i made)
Prop pitch: 100%
Throttle: 15-20%
Pressing I

Engine Stopped.

Oleg? Luthier? Anybody who knows? And stop guessing, try it out by yourself, im trying to start that bitch since the game got released and i dont figure out how to do it... I got the Collectors Edition 3 times and im about to send 2 of them back to Ubisoft because it just pisses me off that there are no tutorials and nothing works.

The 109 started with an manual inertia starter, ie. was hand cranked... so your pilot probably left the hand crank at the base, along with the crew..! ;-)

Try prop pitch 0% thats how I start it.

manual pro pitch is disabled if the complex engine management is off, that means it cant be that...

like i said. the game is just an early alpha version

Could you join LeadFarmers Multiplayer server once its online and try it out Uther?.... im really wondering if im the only one with that problem. unluckily the people on the server dont answer

I played on his server already,its easy settings but the 109 started fine.People not answering in chat might be because they have'nt worked out how to do it yet.I know I can't use chat yet!

Hi my question is that does bf109e3 has WEP? I tried but seems nothing happens.

on the manual in bf109 section I can find,
"WEP boost is automatically disabled by a clockwork mechanism after 1 minute
of use to prevent overheating."
But I can not see it in game.

watch the ATA gauge, you will see the effect :)

Prop animation is also wrong for an inertia starter on this aircraft , prop dose not rotate untill the clutch is engaged and then it would be instantanious.

Sorry, I cannot get it. it's "throttle war emergency power" or "toggle war emergency power" in the control setting?

when I enable "throttle war emergency power" the throttle just goes to 100% suddenly if it has not already been there and cannot see it is back to previous place after 1 mins.

when I enable"toggle war emergency power" just see "afterburner on " displayed on the righ screen and display "afterburner off" if I release the assigned button. cann ot find the ATA changes.

strange, i have an increase in ATA (something over 1,4.. IIRC) when i just hit, not hold, the button. after around one minute the ATA is lower again.

109 WEP does not work on a slider/axis if im not wrong, at least i can not bring it to work. Would be not ligical with this 1min limit i guess...

Even if the wep does work the 109 doesn't feel like it, both hurricanes and spits feels much more powerful in every way.

Just started to play with full CEM,oil and water rads on.Things just got a lot more complicated lol!
After a 30 minute cross country flight (landing on the Isle of White lol) watching all the gauges I was knackered!
