Measured in v4.08 on Crimea map.
Results are very accurate, tolerance for error is less than 1%.......... I'll update the list and add new info as I do new tests.

And here are differences in speed.................IL-2 V4.08 vs IL-2 Compare V4.07.
Differences are expressed in %.......so those having a positive % have actually greater speed than expected, and those that have -% have less speed than expected.
All values are measured at SL, except those marked with *, which are obtained at max speed altitude (see some test above for more info).

I'm going to spend the next few days testing your listed speeds for accuracy, if y'all don't mind.

All fighters were tested at full CEM settings with all stuff....
I only enabled pit off and speedbar :)

BTW top speeds at level are reached at around ~2mins after flying at top speed and with almost absolutely no deviation in course and height.

I used QMB.

Me sorry.........forgot to mention that I released those bombs :P
So drag caused by center rack (dunno why it is mounted there in the first place, as it is not necessary for 2x500lb loadout) costs ya 1km/h. Anyhow I don't wanna get into the discussion about un-logical racks and drags here just pure info....................FW-190A is heavily affected by unnecessary racks (when you select only inboard cannons your speed is actually lower :!: :!: :!: because game adds a nice rack to your FW-190 :?: :? :? ).........sorry couldn't resist :P

So correct P-47D27 speeds are;

P-47D27 547 (with 2x500lb on)
P-47D27 577 (after released 2x500lb)
P-47D27 578 (default armament)

I did a similar list for sea level speeds some time ago. Some results are from 4.07m, others from 4.08m. What I have seen the results from DKoor and mine are withing 1%.

OK I did a little update.......there are some uncommon (relatively) results like those of Mosquito......dam that fighter-bomber is fast!
For instance, it's absolute top speed is faster 7km/h than those of N1K2-Ja! :shock:
Take into account that we are comparing 1942 wooden fighter-bomber to the late war 1945 fighter!

I couldn't out run a 25lbs Spit - for too long :twisted: -, and couldn't out turn it in the Mosquito. So I say it's undermodeled. :P

Depends what you flew in against them........................
Imagine if we get 1944 Mosquito 8) he he fast mf...... :P
Spitfire is not that fast aircraft someone could expect it to be.
Virtual Luftwaffe in their 109s and wurgers should be able to run away from them.

Those are values that can be read on the "Comic Gauge", another words, TAS 8)

Interesting stuff on the radiator`s drag effect. For comparison with RL tested data for radiator drag on a Bf 109G-1, please see my site :

It seems the radiator has very little effect on drag state compared to real life..
