JG52Karaya 10-02-2007 09:45 PM

Just noticed... did they forget to reduce the muzzle flashes in BoB again

I sure hope not... :?

HenFre 10-02-2007 10:06 PM

My first post at this new fantastic forum. Glad I found it :D Looking forward to communicating directly with the people behind 1C..

JG52Karaya: Oleg has allready answered your question. In an video interview by a guy call mysticpuma Oleg says, that the effects are only temporary placeholders from the Il-2 game as the effect for SOW:BOB was not ready at the time.

I believe that this picture was taken in the same period as the interview, so the muzzle flash is from Il-2 and not the final SOW:BOB effect 8)

Hope this answers your question allright..

Regards

Henrik

PS: I like the colours of this forum. My new favorit colour is yellow :D

And here is a nother picture from the same bunch as the first one:

Nice spot 8)

HenFre 10-02-2007 10:30 PM

I think the plane is either a spitfire or a hurricane given the colour of the upper fuselage and the fact that the engine is not yellow.

I think he is going into the water and getting a belly full of the channel

Here another picture:

We should have a sticky thread devoted to just SoW pictures

choctaw111 10-03-2007 01:12 AM

Here's another one.

Why don't I just put the link to the photo album that one fellow has for BoB screenies.

http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...anger/?start=0

heywooood 10-03-2007 02:31 AM

maybe these old pics will seed the thread for the devs. to post new???

I'm starving for new BoB images  :!:

Shadow 10-03-2007 04:40 AM

I have to say I haven't really been paying much attention to BoB stuff as real info has been so little and so rare. Everything posted at the 'zoo and elsewhere seems to be a lot of guesswork and wishful thinking.

But looking at these models, I'm getting a little worked up.

I wonder (In my dreams  ) if a pre-release of the models could be arranged for those of us with a yen for skinning?

C'mon 1C.

Please, please, please

SlipBall 10-04-2007 08:51 PM

speaking of screens and trees and a whatnot - is anyone at 1c able to comment on the FSX graphics and perhaps give an in general comparison (briefly) of these shots to what we might expect from SoW?...ie: the environments, lighting, atmospheric modeling etc...just a relatively brief or light illustration of whether SoW can be expected to be a vast improvement, or close to the same (but with combat and campaigns and such) or maybe slightly less enhanced in the visual but only because of the tremendous load of other combat related code...?

Schuetz 10-09-2007 04:45 PM

Hi Foobar

Evgeny 10-10-2007 05:53 AM

To Schueltz

Well, this forum is english speaking. Also schreiben Sie in Englisch.

Foo'bar 10-10-2007 08:01 AM

There are more people german speaking than I thought... ;)

Very nice!.....are you motivated

:D I love that first pic :D

bigbossmalone 10-10-2007 08:30 AM

Maybe if you add a few 'smiley' emoticons, SlipBall... :D
I'm gonna start posting a few each day until I've posted the whole bunch...prob'ly enough for around a month, haha!
Going to work now, though, pop back tomorrow!

Evgeny 10-10-2007 08:36 AM

Well, it's a nice idea to post a few of your great screenshots everyday! And I think you'll get a lot of smilies! Here is the first bunch of them :D :) :D

Bearcat 10-10-2007 11:13 AM

Some of these shots look great but could we limit the size of them to some kind of standard size....

bigbossmalone 10-10-2007 11:15 AM

Quite a few of my shots have been cropped slightly in the vertical - can't undo that, unfortunately, but any advice onhow to 'standardise' the size would be most welcome.. :)
My screenies are all taken in 1600 x 1200 res, for what it's worth.

kristorf 10-10-2007 01:42 PM

In photobucket you can determine the size of the uploaded pic, say 800x600, 1024x768 etc so when you upload to a site they are a uniformed size.

bigbossmalone 10-10-2007 02:20 PM

'K, thanks Chris
Would you recommend a best/most popular size - 1024x768, maybe?
:?:

kristorf 10-10-2007 02:25 PM

Quite a few forums prefer 800x600 to help 56k users, however I think 1024x768 allows proper viewing of screens.

All mine are 1600x1200, reduced for viewing, however, if you are going to post larger screens it helps to place a warning along the lines of *Big Pics* or *56k warning* to prepare peeps.

It might be worth asking the site mods what the prefered option is, then we have a standard to work with.
There is nothing in the forum rules so at the moment its free and easy.

bigbossmalone 10-10-2007 02:33 PM

Right, thanks for that info, Chris.
Maybe Evgeny will stop in shortly and give us a preferred size, otherwise I'll do the rest at 1024 x 768.
Cheers

bigbossmalone 10-11-2007 07:51 AM

Robert 01-01-2008 07:59 PM

That desert camo dressed Ju 87 is brilliant. I love that piccy.

Is it me or is that sharkmouthed P 40 looking a bit scared?

Know what I've not seen in all my 5 years of IL2. The Ju 87 dressed with the snake along it's fuselage. I built the model as a kid, but never saw it executed in IL2. Any screeneis if that bird?

SlipBall 01-01-2008 09:20 PM

The hanger spawn is the SCHNITZEL, what ever that is
