Thanks Oleg and Ilya and everybody...a dream come true  Louis PS: Look at 4:05 in the first film and tell me how can you tell the difference from reality (try it on an unsuspecting non simmer friend). |
Just great!!!

Delicious pudding.
|
Well, I have nothing to say:) It's really good!
Thank you  |
Awsome

Fan-freaking-tastic! Love the damage model detail. It looks like you've made some nice movie effects, really good stuff.
|
Purely awsomeness.

Well done Oleg and crew, brilliant! |
Gahh! I want this now!
|
A question: What's happening to the rudders of the Hurricane at 2:54? Video 1
|
Incredible! It looks just amazing!
|
Hi Oleg!
Thanks for the great update, can't wait to play the game! I would like to ask that is CoD gonna support, or have the option to play with binaural sound? Best Regards. |

Looking great.
Are we hearing real in-game sound in the the shots of the fighters flying over London in the 2nd video? |
Very excellent update.
Everyone should be excited for such good news. |

:) Thanks Oleg,looks very nice.
Are those ingame sounds in the 2nd video ie the merlin engines?, also the train sounds and also right at the end sounds like a massed formation of aircraft over head. Hope so, :) |
When can we expect a current list of flyable and AI aircraft?
|
Im just totally speechless .... bravo bravo...
|
Great update ever :)
Is the London 1940 video has binaural sound? especially when planes pass over head :-P. |
Amazing
|
One can definitely see how a mild increase in texture detail (buildings, rail beds) could make this a decent vehicle simulation (trains, trucks, infantry to an OFP/2001 level).
As always - very impressed. One feature which surprised me was the wing beginning to rotate before it snaps off (which gives the same visual impression as the RoF damage models - but is simpler to calculate). |
GEEEEEEEZ. Love the smoke at 1:14 of the first clip. WOW!!!!!
Is the slow motion used in the video from the editor or from within the game? That's some damn fine slow motion ~ 2:01. The damage effects of the 111's look smashing. Even better on the Do being "spitfired" to death a minute later. The lighting is brilliant. Lastly, in the London 1940 clip, is that in game sound of the Spitfire? Sweet if it is. |
Thx for the update.. :P
Good news about the release. gives me more time to save up for my GTX 580 :P |
awesome, just picking up my jaw from the floor:grin:
Nice to see video footage of the Sunderlands also  |
Everything looks fantastic! Even the water is awesome! Look at the water at 4:07! It looks darned cold and unpleasant to ditch into! And all this a week away!!

You got the pilot size all wrong in the first video from 0:11 to 0:17! The models are terribly unrealistic!
|
Wow!
I'm applying for a nights leave to go your 1940's London, Oleg! It looks great! The train is beautiful! I have a daughter who is in the "Thomas the Tank Engine" age. She's going to love dad fiddling with the FMB! |
Brilliant update
Thanks Oleg Are there any plans for human traffic AI routines for towns and cities ? Thxz Ermmm Quote:
You need to know the reason for this is due to a technical issue already explained by Oleg/1C Team |
pretty nice, but is that a freezes while spits flyuing over city in second movie?

Excellent. Thank you sir. |
Oleg, Luthier ... beautifuller than expected ... amazing details, awesome videos ... BRAVO to the team!
|
and the guncam footage at 4:05 just looks overwhelming!!!when the 110 kills the spit, i dont see the difference between a simulator and reality!!the last burning spit is also very convincing!i can feel a cold shiver on my skin every time i watch it!
all in all, the effects in this video look brilliant and in my opinion its way above everything we have seen so far.the models, the water, effects, everything has improved.and i think even the pilots in the spits have changed their sitting position. cant wait to buy and install the game to find out that my rig wont run it. best update ever!!!! |

I think it's the compression used to create the file for You Tube download. Notice the fades in and out of black. Very choppy. |

Looking great, slightly mystified by the Oleg/Ubi difference in release date opinions though. |
Is the in-game audio being held back as a bit of a surprise for release? Spits sound pretty nice in the videos but it would be great to hear in-cockpit and out of cockpit sounds for flak and guns.
Also, I notice that the video editors did a nice job but it looks like they had to slow down 30fps output in an external editor which makes me wonder if the in-game video track editor allows for output of slow motion video at 30fps. Thanks again for the update! |
I think I just shorted my keyboard with drool
OLEG! What have you been hiding from us all this time! It's better than I expected (and I expected the best!) |
Quote:
btw i though we can hear ingame sound at least... this is no more secret as the game goes to gold... a little sadly not to hear complete ingame battle atmosphere with this last friday update before the release. |
Dear Lord that was painful. I hope they can fix at least the graphics until release, reviewers will be much less forgiving than the sycophants around here. Nice weapon and engine sounds, though, ahem. Was the lack of self-shadowing part of the "glitch" or done for performance reasons?
|
Very nice update Oleg, thanks.
Thank you so much for fixing the posture of the Spit pilot...so much better. |
The Spitfire/ Do-17 kill looked amazing, thanks ever so much Oleg & the team. Great update.
|
THAAAAAAAAAAANNNKKK You OLEG AND THE TEAM! THAT is what we have been waiting to see!
|
Great videos. The bomber crews look nice. Do they do anything? Do they report on land sea or air contacts, navigate, aim the bombs or watch your engines for you? Can you give them orders, tell them go to oxygen or hear them making small talk?
|
Amazing!
|
Looks great, today is a good day.
Give me an Emil!!!!! |
Finally my childhood dreams will be reality.
Grazie Mr. Oleg and team. |
Hope that Do17 becomes flyable at some point.

Very nice, the train perron is ridiculously detailed:), posters on the pillars? sweet jesus! Come to think about it, the whole of London is ridiculously detailed. This is a good thing, thanks Oleg!
|
Some encouraging stuff, and the tracers look fine from where I am standing. :) Getting a little more excited about it now......Oleg can you give us any more info on how Chain home-chain home low radar and German Freya system will be implemented exactly, and in how much detail?
I know we are not getting a 'dynamic' campaign on first release, but what I would like to know is if eventually the 'battle of the beams' will be simulated at least in some rudimentary way? IE the possibility of German Radio navigation and Freya radar being 'spoofed' by British countermeasures like 'Mandrel' and 'Moonshine' etc. German radio navigation was very effective early on (particulary raids like Coventry etc) but was eventually effectively thwarted and countered by various means. There are verifiable accounts of German bomber crews actually landing on British airfields hopelessly lost after British signal jamming, as many were not trained in other navigation methods and some thought they were actually landing in friendly territory! *You're nicked, son!* I think this aspect of the war would be great to expand upon and would add a very interesting tactical element, we already have the Boulton defiants for 'Mandrel' in particular. Of course later in the war there is the 'night fighter' element too, with the consequent ECM battle that involved. First things first of course. :) Thanks. |
As usual, amazing, but will I can use my Freetrack setup to look around all this glorious rendered sky, planes, and ground?

very nice, but the AAA-gun at 1:30 in the 1st video clip should be manned by a crew.

You suck. It's official. Ban me if needed but this guy is out of line. |
Simply brilliant. The amount and the attention to details is just staggering. Can't wait to get my hands on the game :)
That Stuka attack in slow motion gave me a small orgasm :P |
AWESOME!! A couple of 109's from the first video could be from 5./JG27:grin:!
If that did not convince people who are in doubt, I don't know anymore :P |
Oleg Maddox 'the CODfather'.
This looks amazing! I'm loving the footage of the bf109 vs the Spit. |
Fantastic video, exactly what I was hoping to see! The bomb release close-ups were just fabulous!
I wonder if the clock ticks in the trainstation? ;-) About the release dates though: Nike-IT said today that he checked from Ubi that it would be 31st March? I wonder which one of you is right? Not that it would matter to me week here or week there, but as I plan to make sure I've got vacation after the release date I'd like to make sure I don't sit here empty handed with my new rig. |

So the thing has really gone gold a couple of days ago? Even Ubisoft people said there would be a change, but if you say there is no change, are they crazy? And does the 25th apply to the download and the boxed version or only the download? |

OLEG
this is stunning..now we finally see how planes are falling apart more realisticaly....very nice....thank you.... |
Very nice videos! :)
|
I suddenly realized that maybe my marriage is in jeopardy...
|
Tumbling bombs look great. Also good to see the He111 bombs falling from their vertical stowage position. I do believe that the He111 bomb doors were spring loaded though and opened and sprung back as the bombs fell through them. Perhaps someone could confirm?
I'm a bit confused by the damage to the German bombers caused by the .303 ammo of the Spits and Hurris. I remember you saying that cannon shells would cause panel damage (big holes, tears etc) while rifle caliber ammo would make small holes where they hit (just like in real life). From what I can see, the .303 rounds are making huge holes in the fuselage which just didn't happen. Looks nice I must say but isn't backed up by evidence. Perhaps you could clarify please? Very happy overall though. Good job. |

Either way, I don't think it's a defect of the game per se, but a side effect of online display. Sadly it does slightly diminish from the overall oooooooooh and ahhhhhhhhhhh of the first clip. Still a beaut. As I said. Delicious pudding. |
Wonderful. Thanks to all the team.

Excellent work, many thanks to you Oleg, and your team :)
|
Oh my god !!!!!
:o:grin: Thanks ! |
Birds
Did anyone noticed too the birds flying close to the bridge at 00:28....
Awesome Derzasi |
Very nice videos !!
It seems that flying over the city would require from the user to get a CRAY II type supercomputer ... i don't think that we will be able to dogfight over london with acceptable frame rate eh? I got a Core 2 6300 @ 1.86Ghz with 2 Giga RAM and a GTX 460 with 1 Giga Ram & i don't think i'll be able to get new components..... and it looks like that i won't be able to play the game either with acceptable graphics detail ... |
это просто бесподобно)))) на грани фантастики)) =
it is simply incomparable)))) on the verge of science fiction)) |
You'd be amazed. My Pc is way below minimum spec for Rise of Flight but I can play small missions on pretty high settings. I on't have much time to fly so I haven't tried bigger missions, like campaigns or anything, but just flying about learning the foibles of each plane in RoF is fine for me right now.

Thanks for the update videos they were really exciting! |
Great!!! Thx Oleg and your team...
Excellent work! |
Awesome update, thanks! On some shots it was indeed very difficult to distinguish weather it was real or simulated.

Simply F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!! |
Looks amazing!
|
Too many picky people on here.
My opinion is NIRVANA I am different to you guys, I will adore what is good, not pick up on what is bad. |
Instead of complaining about the lack of shadowing on planes in these clips, we should be amazed that the trailer looks this good, even with some major graphical features disabled.
|
OMG. This is truly outstanding. Well done Oleg & team.
PPanPan |
Fantastic, really looks like the real thing. The way it's come on visually even in the last few weeks is really something.
Is the 25th release date for Russia only, seems Ubi thinks it's the 31st, bit of conflicting info here, but if that is the case I expect we can look forward to boat loads of vid that week from our Russian players. |
Thank you for the update. It's a masterpiece.

Videos are amazing but the II./JG27 insignia on the 109 at :34 is not in the correct place. It should be on the cowling. Like the print below.
|
oleg,
excellent video's thanks for the new update ! the detail in londen is amazing, great to see the town scenery extend so far in all directions. and right at the beginning of video 1 you can see the detail of the plane interior through the windows from the outside, amazing :) being able to get to soon fly the new flightsim you created will be a dream come true, thanks for persevering all these years ! question will there be some AI ground vehicle traffic at release time on the streets and in the fields ? |
Thanks very, very much for this update!!!
That's freaking awesome!!! Just a question, which part of the Sunderland crew is CGI and which is in-game? It looks really great, fabulous, superb!!! as somebody already said, running out of superlatives  |
