Kid is reincarnation of WWII Corsair pilot shot down over Chi-Chi Jima?
Okay, so I found the first link here
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...come-life.html and just like I'd assume you would, I read into it with the presumption that its a load of BS. But then I looked into more credible sources. Heres ANOTHER news website, ABC, a more reputable name, parroting the same story http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/Tech...=894217&page=1 Watch this video of him and his parents, along with crew members from the ship http://www.fox8.com/wjw-reincarnatio...,1190900.story If that isn't enough - THERE IS A BOOK WRITTEN ABOUT THIS BOY http://www.amazon.com/Soul-Survivor-.../dp/0446509337 What do you guys think? Please read all the evidence they present before replying. |
I neither believe in reincarnation nor paradise.
BS as far as I'm concerned. Edit: I wrote above lines after reading a few lines. I quit here: Quote:

By the time I was five i had watched a bazillion documentaries on ww2, they were on at the same time each week and I liked to just watch them, sometimes I would re-enact the scenes in my head.
I don't understand how these parents were bamboozled when he pointed out a drop tank rather than a bomb, the difference is obvious enough to a kid who has watched just one documentary. Heck, I vividly remember a pilot of the same name as me, who looked similar (blond, lanky and white as a sheet) who crashed... perhaps I too am a reincarnation... ;) what BS. |
I too was quick to point out similiar flaws or possible holes in this story. But have you actually clicked that link the video and watched it all the way through? They would have had to bribe a lot of people, including combat veterans, to lie and fake tears to pull this off.
If it really is a fabrication, it is surely a coincidence like no other. This kid even LOOKS exactly the same as this guy! |
1st: When you die - you die, end of story.
2nd: I remember reading about an even better story some 20 years ago in readers digest. It was about a girl, who under hypnosis, said she's the wife of a rich trader in ancient rome. She even described some of the paintings on the wall o their home. An expedition found the remains of this house, and under a crapload of dirt even those paintings - they matched. Crazy, huh? True? My ass, the people how participated were not really checked, they could made the whole expedition up. Another point is those reincarnated people always were someone important - or at least cool. Princes, Knights, rich traders - or fighter pilots. Ever heard about a reincarnated peasant? No? Isn't that odd? |

Seriously, though, I can't believe, people still fall for such crap. |

P.S Tell Jesus he's waaay overdue for a haircut and a shave, it's not 1969 anymore.:) |
Inconsistency is when you don't believe in reincarnation, but hit "RESPAWN" multiple times a day. j/k
|
Some things seem "incredible" but so are magic shows and they aren't real either;)

Well, pretty hard to believe stories like this. Yet, at least it's interesting to watch. |

P.S. I don't believe in fairy tales either. There are 100 explanations for the reincarnation stories that have nothing to do with reincarnation. I do however believe there is a lot more going on in our world than meets the eye. |
I reincarnate every day!
Into myself... I still wonder, what my ancestors have done, so that I deserve this? :-x:rolleyes: |
Haha, well put.
Swiss, point well taken. |
I'm the reincarnation of Adolf Galland, but you don't find me posting on the bloody internet about it, or trying to push a book entitled 'I'm the reincarnation of Adolf Galland' which is £15.99 and available from Amazon, Waterstones and all other good booksellers from Monday, and of which the first 100 copies sold are signed by ME, Adolf Galland.
And I'll be damned if I'd mention that it's being serialised in the Daily Mail either, starting next Tuesday. And if I am available for after-dinner talks and/or business conferences, and if you could reach me through my London based PR company, 'Twitch Felch', in Victoria, 027210444576, I'd hardly make a song or dance about it. Money grabbing liars, that's what they are. |

So why do all of you non religious types have to knock others faith?? Sounds like many of you have never been under the gun! Believing in only yourself is pretty lamo in my book...but I'm just sayin':-P
|
If we're about to develop an argument over whether 'religion' is realistic or not I may well shoot myself.

Regarding that story BTW. I must be the reincarnation of Erich von Manstein as too, my name is so similar. ;) |
I think my next avatar in the cockpit will be Kenny from Southpark. In the recent episodes is explained why Kenny always comes back to life without anyone but him remembering his death. Hilarious!

Although I'm not sure if "ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshit" is the correct form of prayer ...doesn't seem to help much ;) |

To me the whole reincarnation thing is silly, but I also understand that it's natural for human beings to seek after things greater than themselves, that's why the Jews made the golden calf like ten minutes after Charlton Heston went up the mountain, they just couldn't wait for something to worship. Everyone worships at some altar or another. It's to bad that this thread couldn't evolve into a meaningful discussion, but that's unfortunately not the way of the forum. |

Oh, come on Oldschool, mate. Not one historian? What about Luke? Mark? Matthew? We have textual (archeological) evidence to date Matthew to within 20 years of Christ's death, and Mark shortly after. Luke wrote his two excellent histories with the benefit if these books and personal interviews with people who knew Jesus. There is more evidence for Jesus of Nazareth being a quite real person than for Augustus Caesar. There is one thing that there is no evidence for though. A Body. Had the Jews and the Romans been able to produce a body when the Christians were making such a nuisance of themselves, the little Jewish cult that was saying that this itinerant Rabbi who died on a Roman cross wasn't dead after all would have died just as surely as the rest of the Messiah cults.
Blind faith is a fools faith, and anyone who tells you otherwise, doesn't have any kind of real faith. If you hang around them long enough, you'll see. (As I'm sure you have) BTW, Oldschool I don't believe the Catholics have the answers either, as they left the Bible behind long ago, but Jesus told me I have to love them too, so I do. |

Come on people. This is a forum for video games; there's no need to bring arguments over religion into it.
I seriously can't believe we're doing this. |

Not enough COD stuff around to discuss. ;) |
It's a place for people to gather who have an interest in the same things, as I see it, like a bar or a golf club, or better yet the bar at the golf club. Is it impermissible for the conversation to wander from the topics of booze and golf occasionally?

Gospels say he was famous in all the land, thousands upon thousands knew of him yet not one historian of his time ever mentions anyone named jesus. First mention of a jesus is in around 93-94CE (AD) by Josephus when he mentions a person christians followed. Is this evidence? No its all hearsay evidence and most scholars admit it is almost certainly christian interpolations to try and sell the jesus story. Believe me Ive been researching the historical and scientific evidence for this for a few years now and there just isnt any proof of any religion being true. They all revolve around ancient myths just like being reincarnated. |
Doesn't anyone here WANT to live another life? I sure do, and I really do hope that upon death, I am re-spawned into a very good looking and wealthy person, or a fighter pilot ;) and then I can tell people I was a great IL2 46' ace in a past life ;)
Seriously, I don't know if the story in question is true. I hope it is to be honest, but I won't know what happens after death until I die, and believe me, I will come and visit all of you to let you know in my own special way (see "poltergeist" for more information :P) |
Well, in most bars and definitely in any golf club, religion is off-limits, BadAim. Ah well what do I care. Go for it.
|
Religion is a personal question each of us and 'free to believe in his religion. But you can not contradict the sacred texts like the Bible texts are encrypts all those years ago.
then we are talking about planes and simulation, but not religion. you have to do it for the respect of all Muslims here are orthodox Catholics so your ideas Save it for you. I am Catholic and I can tell you that you can not mix the history and theology are two different matters even the science and physics not can explain the theology. |

There are no explanations of religion.
There is only one thing ....... faith. if you do not have faith in yourself you have no faith even in God. God is unique in the universe. |

Im sorry but the historical evidence just doesnt exsist to support the story of jesus. Have you ever heard of Horus or Mithra?? Same story as jesus yet hundreds to a thousand years before jesus yet identical stories. |

Myself, I am a man of science, chemist by trade. Being taught in the art of scientific study its impossible to believe something that cant be proven. Science tell us if something is true should should be able to observe it or reproduce its results, religion can do neither. |
Why the hell Adolf Galland reincarnation would take Novotny as pseudo ????? Your story is not credible :)

Personally i have no doubt Jesus was a real PERSON who preached and had followers.
What he after his death turned into was the work of the roman catholic church in wich i dont belive a single word of. They created the MAN to suite their own petty needs. Religious politics = as bad as i gets. |
Quote:
As for other religions, I can't say for most of the ones I've studied contradict what the Scriptures teach so I have to hold them as wrong if I believe the Bible to be right. I have no problem with those people who follow said religions (so long as they don't pose a physical threat) I just don't agree. And, no I'm not a professional scientist. What I should probably have said is that I'm a man of reason, but I still stand by my statement. |
Quote:
The words that are accredited to Jesus however date back to within the lifetime of the people that knew Him, long before the established churches, and He was quite clear on who He thought He was. The only question is was He mad, lying or God? |
And here endeth the lesson.
