The Ace of Aces SUPERBRAWL Sunday! Program: - The Finals of A tournament 0930 UTC Edal86 vs MIRGERVIN 4:6 Select witnesses will be present and provide live reporting via text chat (pending finalist's approval and testing) - Fight for 3rd place Wolfsalt vs themeistor 8:9 Select witnesses will be present and provide live reporting via text chat (pending player's approval) - A virtual presentation ceremony for the winner, finalist and third in Text Chat, with live interviews, match recap, champagne shower, etc. - Fox and Hounds Hunt down the first three as a pack of hungry P-51D5s. (Fox and Hounds? Click HERE) CR or CRL do not apply. - A Fly-In at Catania with everybody landing and taking up viewing positions on the northern parking ramp facing North. Aerobatic displays and showfighting will place to the North of the airfield (Click here for details!). - Gigantic Aerial Battles P-51D5s versus P-51Bs in Strike mode on a variety of maps and settings. CR or CRL do not apply. - Aerial Football matches in Capture Airfield mode (Aerial Football? See HERE) CR or CRL do not apply. - Other Airplanes Let's take to the sky in other airplanes and have huge dogfights in Polykarpovs, Spitfires, Bombers etc. CR or CRL do not apply. - Wine, Beer, Popcorn,... Looks like my participation is based on the fact that PSN has accidentally banned me.
I have been banned from my main account for apparently "severe breaches of the service Terms & Conditions." I'm not happy about this and am currently getting a paddy on with Sony. I'll let you know how it goes! |

The finals between Edal86 and MIRGERVIN will take place on Superbrawl Sunday from 0930 UTC onwards! We're presently asking the finalists to accept a rule change which would allow the finals to be filmed by a cameraplane. Pending that, we will have live reports from inside the matches via text chat, so it might well be worth getting up early for that! :) MAC |
Unfortunately, due to a ****-up at Sony, I will not be flying in the Super Brawl. Not for certain, anyway.
I'll investigate other options, creating a new account and bringing the saved data over for example. But I doubt I can be in the air with you guys. If you want someone to blame then I have a feeling it was either just a mistake by Sony or Branko being a complete [enter insult here].. Anyway.. Have fun! *salutes* |

Superbrawl Fly In - Catania Airport

Hello Superbrawlers,
As promised, here's the briefing on our Fly In. I've chosen Catania Airport in sunny Sicily. Take offs and Landings in Westerly direction only! Initially all aircraft attenting in the fly have to land and taxi to the northern parking area, facing north. Once all are parked we will communicate the program via headset and/or text chat (all attending are going to be invited to the chat before we even start). Initially only P-51s are allowed. Aircraft taking part in a display or showfight will taxi as on the picture to the runway for take off. After take off, they should take up positions to the north of the airfield to begin their displays / showfights on command by tower. Anyone who crashes should come back to land and again take up his parking position. It is recommended to use a layout for taxiing that will allow you to use your brakes. For parking you may consider changing layout to Standard so you can idle you engine. The fly in will be set up without time limit, unlimited ammo and unlimited fuel. Hello all,
The Superbrawl is now having a quick break to recover from the exciting events of this morning/early afternoon. In two very heated battles, witnessed by audiences around the world, the Final and the match for 3rd place were fought. In the first confrontation, MIRGERVIN carried victory away with a 6:4 win over Edal86. He is therefore the champion of this tournament and receives the Mustang Trophy. Edal86 fought hard and well, and could claim the Finalist Trophy for himself. In the second battle, wolfsalt snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and themeistor, who had been in the lead for most of the match. End result was 9:8. Wolfsalt therefore claimed third place. We will continue shortly with a lot of fun and action which will last until the late evening. Any of you who haven't joined us yet are welcome to. :) MAC |
