Hi folks,
First of all I would like to say about incorrect information of release date and image of package, leaked by some way yesterday: Official press release (announce) probably will happens on the next week. About current version progress: shots are done using pre-holidays version. Team is working over the new version. More news - next week. Just 5 screen shots. |
:)
|
Thanks Oleg.
|
S!
Waiting fore the info, VERY much. Thanks and have a good weekend. |
Look forward to it! Thanks....
|
the picture with the german Airfield and the Map table look very good
and the Trees look now very good, i like it |
The level of detail for the airports is outstanding...i'm impressed Oleg.
I'd like to see that that vegetation green toned down , but everything else is awesome. Hope to see it coming soon ;) |
next update please ;)
|
Thanks for taking the time. Looking forward to more info later about the incorect release date and images. Have a great weekend.
|
Looking great to me, the shot of the hillside and gun emplacements looks so peaceful - for now... :)
|
so does this mean that the rumours are right, except the release date and the package, and ubi is the puplisher??
|
It's already stunning, and it's not finished. I am getting all jittery with excitement.
|
everything looks just perfect to me!!!cant wait for the release-information.
|
Will the vehicles be driven by persons or by ghosts?
It looks odd especially with the tractor. |
it looks so good
does the wind sock function as it should? |

Oh dear, the flak guns are going to be much hard to hit, dug in like that.
|
I really like the shots of the Luftwaffe airfield:cool:
It's looking so perfect! Can't wait for the release date:) |
Looks pretty much finished to me,with that level of detail.Guess we just have to wait for the publishers now.
|
Thanks for the update Oleg and Co., as always very nice and exciting screens! These look close to represent what we can expect once we can "fly" it.. Well, at least up to my expectations.. :)
|
Hello Oleg!
Very nice! I notice with pleasure a pair of "demi-tonneaux" French hangars in the background...What French airfield is it suposed to be? I would bet on Rouen-Boos which had Bf 110 in June 1940... A very pleased JV |

This must be one of the most impressive flight sim screens when it comes to atmosphere I have ever seen. This is exactly going where I wished Sims would go eventually. Maybe in ten years or so we can also have personal walking around and doing what ppl do on an airfield. More epicness to come. |
Nearly perfect
Please fine tune the color of the 3d grass
it still looks a bit unnatural Thank you very much |
Looks great. I can't wait for next weeks announcement.
|
You only have to squint your eyes a tiny bit and that Spit shot looks like a photo. Love the Cloud shadows on the landscape. Shots of the Lufty airfield equally convincing. Look forward to the 'official' statement perhaps in the next two weeks.
Three years late and got a silly name...Oleg's never worked in Ministry of Defence procurement has he? |
Nice little detail on first screenshot: a bottle of wine and cups.

I just wish we could get some audio in an update and any info on how positional - and dynamic - sound is handled. This was one of the most glaring deficiencies in IL2 although understandable to some extent due to the widely varying implementations for handling sound in the industry.
I'm sure it will be much improved and knowing Oleg have some innovative features in the new sound engine. |
Beautiful shots Oleg, thanks. I love Fridays.
The airfields are going to be so much more immersive now. I'm sure that windsock has some wind in it too. Can't wait to get my hands on this. |

Hmmm... S9 code on the Bf110s. -> Erprobungsgruppe 210, later Schnellkampfgeschwader 210, Zerstörergeschwader 1
http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=18046 You've looked at that tread mr. Maddox or is it coincidence that the code S9 is on the Bf110s? ;) http://users.hol.gr/~nowi/ Nice website for Luftwaffe codes |
|
The grass and the colouration is coming along nicely.
I suppose the new weather model is something we'll see post release? |

Looks great, especially the Spits. I hope the final version has some people in it. They don't have to move but it would be better and more natural looking than empty chairs, cars, tractors, etc.
|
How work on the cloud are going ?
Did the object on the ground will be affected be the weather ? I didn t see battleship, carrier etc..are they modeled ? Nice update by the way :) |

Nice update(I like the airfield but Spits screenshot seems very similar to IL2) but nothing new, no audio, no video
I feel like this http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscart...s/jkon675l.jpg |
Nice- can't wait
|
any news if we need hyperlobby?

Uff can´t wait!!! another week of impatience... I hope good news in the next week press note... or my heart will not resist... ;)
|
Thanks for the update oleg
|
There'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover...
|
Sigh... This is like Schrödinger's cat... Is the cat dead or alive?
|
Oleg, what about ground personnel, any news about this?
Next week press release, the moment we have all been waiting for! |
Quote:
the tractor does not look like a real tractor but not that it matters much as this is looking like a great air sim |

hope for: " Flugzeugführer an die Maschinen und Motor warm laufen lassen, Start um 16 Uhr" |
Oleg,
The shots are beautiful, similar to paintings. Looking forward to the announcement. Cheers, Insuber |

It looks like an excellent representation of an RAF tractor to me: http://www.tractorbarnproductions.co...4533629131.jpg http://www.canvasstorehouse.com/imag...ver_707906.jpg And it will also be useful for placement on farms: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Army_1940s.jpg -- |

Beautiful Oleg, thank you for your time and effort.
I CANNOT WAIT to operate some ground gunning positions! |
Ta very much
|
Love the difference in ambient lighting.
The shots of the 110's capture the late summer evening look perfectly, compared to the more middle of the day shots in bright sunshine. I can almost smell the difference. :) |
so are these shots still made on a low-end pc? because it looks pretty  awesome for low quality, and don't even let me dream on about how good it will look on a high end pc!
Still people, don't forget that 'PROBABLY' next week there is going to be a press release, don't get your hopes up just yet. |

Is this really true?We will have a release date?
System specs too? |
I think when the publisher announces a release date then that's it isn't it?
|
I feel sorry for Oleg being put in an awkward position by these rumours and I hope he knows that we know none of this is in his hands or his fault.
Yes I hope we have some people to sit in the vehicles, as we know - when you make a flightsim you are really making a 'world sim' and it will look silly if there are no people anywhere, i'm sure IL2COD will have everything and more that IL2 had, and as IL2 had people then COD will have them and better.... i'm hoping this will be one of Oleg's surprises in a week or 2. So it sounds like IL2COD will be released a week or so after Shogan Total war2 and the same week as Crysis2 and Assassins creed Brotherhood and Sims 3 medieval....a nice way to be over shadowed and over looked by the gaming press and other gamers who might have given COD a try....stupid ! My advice is to bring the release date forward to Feb !! Simon ps - what's the release date? |

No one knows the exact release date. I'm sure even Oleg and publishers are wrestling with that as we speak. BUT a spring release is a great possibility. |
Thank you Oleg for these nice little things (Pictures) today. And thanks a lot for your great work and reserche of this chapter in Our history.
And thank you very much for your hard work and your team ,too. It´s amazing. But i cannot wait too, for this great Simulation. I am nervos like my first Rendezvous:) I wish you and your team and famaly´s a very nice weekend. And a little bit time for her. And a special thanks to the naugty girl that leaked the info. |
The Spit formation looks outstanding. Coming together nicely folks!
|
Thanks Oleg.
|
Been thinking about Oleg posting just five images. My theory...he wanted to give us something since he didnt post last week but not to much since the the official announcement is coming next week anyway and will probaly come with a bunch of new content to check out.

no color makes it look like something out of the movie "the road"

Very nice indeed except one thing. The textures under the grass don’t have the same color and aspect as the 3D grass they support. This causes a brutal transition when the 3D grass is vanishing in the distance and only the texture remains visible.
In one word, from close the green areas look very good with the 3D grass but the textures should be improved to render the granularity of a field covered by grass (not to look like a golf course) But again, I think that they are still working on the textures, so may we hope that this feature will be improved for the release version. |
Quote:
But I don't agree for the textures and the airplanes. The planes look very good and much more detailed than in IL2 but as the graphic engine is not fine tuned yet I understood that it was not possible to use any anti-aliasing (that's why we see that crappy effect on the wings ...) The textures look much better than in Il2 from that altitude even if we compare with modded versions. |
sound great..nice details ...but..kind of hmmm... desolate?I wonder if we will se not only bicycles and stuff humans use... but also actually people? ground crew?
