He 111 E
Are there any chances we might get to see this bird?
As it was still in use in 1940 and involved also in the raids on England. We have seen screen shots of a He 111P but the He111E was also still in use. This plane would also be of great interest for Spanish civil war missions, or Sino-Japanese missions. There is a tail fin of a He 111E at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. http://www.flickr.com/photos/36928008@N08/4629329447/ http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/906/he111edi7.jpg |
Nicer than the He111H I find. But I guess we'll have to wait to see one. Totally new cockpit.
|
Might be tough to find good reference material for it. Especially cockpit and other station layouts.

There is on He 111 E-3 at Museo del Aire, Madrid, wich was delivered to Legion Condor in 1938.
The plane seems to be complete. There is a picture of the plane, and cockpit-shot of the instrument panel. Go to http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com/ for a closer look. Skarphol |

Here that picture of the instrument panel http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com...%20cockpit.jpg http://www.patricksaviation.com/file...3947_18120.jpg Well it is a aircraft that was used in the Battel of Britian, the Spanish Civil War, and the Sino-Japanese-Conflict, so it would cover many fields of interest in SoW. |
Just Bump this up as the Dweebfire fans are spamming everything full.

actually, before any work is put in this He111 variant, i personaly would prefer to have the Do17 or Wellington flyable...................espacially the Wellington as the RAF will lacking heavily in flyable bombcarriers :(
and the Axis will have plenty :) |

I would love to see this aircraft, though. Nearly anyone would agree that the Spanish Civil War is long overdue being the subject of a decent game. It is a pity. |
as long Maddox keeps his planesets scenario related...................
what 3.party guyes will do (when the SDK tool are out) nobody can control, its thier spare time and they can choose what they want to modell (as it is now already :D ) but as far the actual informations are , the RAF will be realy lacking in flyable bombcarriers. Only the Blenheim Mk.IV , and that means a bombload of max 1000lb ......... :D IIRC the axis will have Ju88, He111, Br.20, Ju87 and most problay fighterbombervariants (if not Maddox is making a big mistake !) of the 109 and 110. therefor a RAF bomber with a higher load is high priority for me , first choice was the Wellington because it is already as AI in game. second would be a HP Hampden (max 4000lb bombload), a pilots plane with even a forward firing gun and the possibility to arm it with a torpedo :) |

well, i guess the times of getting dozens of new planes for free in endless updates/patches is over.................having the workload in mind that is needed to build a plane in CoD limits !
i even have my doubts that there will be a "patch" that will bring a Wellington... but i like to get surprised :D a heavier RAF bomber would be needed for serious online war "balance". IF Maddox is going on with scenariorelated "to buy" 'AdOns' (working standalone AND merged) i see no proplem. Guessing the next one will be an Easternfront or MTO one, they both will take care only a small timeframe or even only one specific battle of these operation areas. Easternfront from 1941-45 , from the polar sea to the black sea, will not happen, as MTO from 1940-43, from ElAlamein to Tunis or Sicily also not. |

I was just wording pro He111E and some one was worried that the blue side would then have too many bombers. So don´t jump to conclusions that are not even being debated. |
