As of not being able to play online as much as the urge calls for, I found myself a new Mission:
Find dkwookies sheep
(Yes I am aware of the mission called The sheperd, but this is not it)

As I see some claim there is to be some sheep around the Dover map, I will set out to find it.
I need some change from trying to accomplish the Defend the vessel and Inspect airfields mission in the Battle of Britain single missions. They are totally impossible to manage in SIM.

So here goes for the sheep hunt.

you may need to keep an ample amount of beverages close to hand to keep yourself "hydrated" during this long and arduous quest.... :grin:

Personally Kav I don't think you should let the weekends frivolity spill over into the game!!!!

If you find them Kav, buzz them low and see if they bleat.
Also my woolen flying jacket is a bit worn and could do with re-lining

Damnit you got me, you found out about my secret sheep-knapping scheme, stealing all the sheep from England, packing them in my B-17, and selling them to the Germans for money :)

To be honest, i think i've had the same feeling of dwookie.

First few days i've playing BOP, i used to remember some terrain and map details that was not actually in the game, i was pretty sure that birds and cows/sheep was present in the game. :)

I think I've seen white and black dots in some of the fields once, never paid much mind. Were they seen around Dover or about 12km away?

I found some small White marks in a field a kilometre north west of Manston. I think what's happened is the devs used satellite photo textures and they are sheep but they didn't model them. So from 10,000ft it looks like there are sheep or cows down there

they've tried to blend them in but if you look you can see them.

i think the biggest evidence of sheep is the way you skid upon a landing...i knew i had to have hit something slick...couldnt be me after all.

I've been crusing around Dover and Manston in a Po-2 for hours, no luck.

in all honesty ans seriousness i thought i saw them. we were playing a game last night at dusk or poor weather settings....everything was more grayscale and the light colors all whitish. I saw a bunch of white things spread out in a field. did a quick buzz job and it was bails of hay....but with the right light...altitude...alcohol...sheep. and cute ones at that! :grin:

I've looked enough. I have seen enough hay as evidence that there must be livestock, case closed for me.

Yes, Because while I was at 10,000ft in my Me109E, I saw your Hurricane crash into that forest which is what killed the poor sheep that was hiding there from everyone. and I think he was on your team aswell. :-P

But did you get the points for killing the sheep or did it say "dolly has crashed"?

I think you were at 5000' and with your cannons weighing your wings down I was able to pull up and watch you crash into that sheep on the ground.;)

I can even tell you the reason you crashed, yeah, was because Panzergranate shot your wings up big time. You were like "OH SHHII.."
and the sheep was like all "Baaaaaaaacrunch!"
and Panzer was "...well the Finnish air force's Brewster Buffalos were..... ?oh sorry Bucket we're on the same side init".
So then I asked Evangelous If he saw the sheep get brutaly knocked down and he said "AYYYYY?"

So I prove my point. The sheep in BoP was real untill it was double team killed.
