Photos over southern England...

BlitzPig Raven happens to be a real pilot and took these images today (Saturday) flying near his home of Brighton. Originally posted in one of our private forums.

I don't know about you, but Oleg's pixel England is not that far off this, even in it's work in progress state.

Not realistic. I can't see the tree trunks. :P

Beautiful pictures! ...and relevant to BOB. Thanks for posting them!

I think the terrain looks a little cartoonish, and lets not get into those cotton puff clouds. :)

DB605 08-08-2010 06:31 AM

Trees are too tall and looks like they floating  Very nice pics!

WOW! I'd trade all the trees in SOW for clouds like that!

Reminds me of one of my flights.

No, it's not mine. I live in the US, Raven, my squadmate rents that one in England.

Raven reports that the photos were taken at 3000 ft. +/- 200 ft.

Nice pics. It's a work in progress right?

If we had clouds like that in a sim, I would hardly ever look at the ground except when landing.

SlipBall 08-08-2010 10:58 PM

They are very nice!...what bothers me though, is the leave's on the trees seem a bit "leafy"

KaHzModAn 08-09-2010 12:04 PM

nice pics !

is that a wayland lysander ? it would be so cool if we bail out in france to call such a plane, wait 6 hours for it to come and get back to england with it !
(or we could steal a panzer, go to the coast and swim a bit, streal a u-boat and take enigma, then get back scapa flow, and take a bus to biggin hill... :o)

here are some pics posted on check-six forum (since the discussions there are the same as here), pics taken yesterday by Rodolphe :
