Will my system handle RNR?
OK so the game runs kinda choppy and somewhat slow on my PC. It meets the minimum requirements. Do you think that 1GB of ram more would help the game to run smoothly?

Thanks I think I'll try another ram stick. What's strange is that some people with much better computers are reporting bad perfromance...and yet the lower end PCs can run the game better. Strange.

So a GeForce 9500GT and a 2 GB Memory Module would get me goin good, correct?

Also I'm pretty sure 64Bit Vista won't handle more than 4GB. So that would be my max. |

A 32 bit operating system will recognise between 3 and 4 gig of ram a 64 bit system up to 8 gig of ram. Check how much you can put into your system go to the crucial website and do a scan is an easy way to check things out. My old motherboard can only handle 2Gb of ram max but I have saw another motherboard and CPU failry cheap so I'm just going to build another computer as my current one is becoming too slow to play games at decent framerates. Hope this helps

I'd don't think the processor is enough because when i installed RnR it said my processor wasn't running to there minimal settings which is a AMD phenom quad core 9500 2.20ghz So yea im kinda bummed because i wasted a money on a new HP that cant run rnr
ps:kennyb87 thanks 4 the website it helped me so, but do they have a website that can tell what processor i can upgrade too? |
To see what CPU you can upgrade to you need to check the manufacturers website for that. Try CPUZ that should list your system specs then go to the relevant website. I'm looking at a new CPU and mobo an AMD triple core 3.0Ghz but it can be unlocked to run 4 cores and its only £60 and the mobo an ASUS M3N78-VM is £52. I may need another case too but thats no problem to get hold of. Just going to re-use my current ram PSU and Graphics card and I should have a decent PC

Can I run RnR?
Here's what I have
OS: Windows 7 Processor: AMD Sempron SI-42 2.10 GHz RAM: 2 GB Video Card: ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics If I left anything out, ask me |
I think no, your video card is too weak for R'n'R.

I want to play RnR but I don't have the money to replace this laptop
|
I'm sorry for that. However, before you purchase any game, you should read the recommended specs for the game, not the minimal specs. Many people fall for this. This game (and many others) just doesn't cut the minimal specs, as you can see from the many postings of problem with people running less then the Rec. Specs. I learned this many years ago after spending money on games that would not work on my computer. It only took me 3 games or so to figure it out after educating myself to never falling for it again.
|
I downloaded a 1 hour trial version that I found online of this game (I guess some companies make games as a trial) and before the game started it showed a window saying that my computer meets the minimum requirements

It may not be authorized by 1C but there has been other games (without a trial, just full game) that some companies have made to a trial game (kind of like a demo of the full game but limit to 1 hour)..and it is the game

That being said, let’s get back on topic. Feel free to PM me for further discussions on this matter.;) |
Is this computer good?
Hey, I bought rig n roll about 4-3 months ago from steam. I didn't have a good computer for it, so I kinda wasted my 30 dollars. So, I'm getting a new computer soon cause my old desktop crashed and wont start now. Hoping to get it repaired soon. Anyways please tell me if this computer is good so I can buy it before the sale price is over :/

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
Judging from what I see, you should have no problem. Just make sure your CPU speed is 3.0GHz., or above. Inspite of what the specs are listed for this game, it is a very heavy CPU hog, and not fully optimizesd with many memory leaks. 1C failed in this aspect of reporting system specs. They are way off the mark. |
So USA Trucker my question is my dad is giveing me his computer and its a dual core 3.2 GHz and i think he said he over clocked it but not sure how he did it i think he downloaded something but anyways it has 8gig of memory installed will have a 1tb hard drive and will have a Nivda 9800GT 1gig will this computer be able to run it? btw it has windows Vista
|
Quote:
It should. The olny thing I might question is Windows Vista, only because when I had it, it ran a little sluggish for this game. Windows 7 improved the game performance for me. Other than that, I see no problem. |
ok well thanks Usa trucker ya vista is getting me to wonder as well but hopefully soon ill get windows 7 :-P
|
Depending on what you use your computer for will determine what Windows7 version would best suit you. You don’t have to get the most expensive one. Windows Home Premium 64Bit should work just fine. I have Windows7 Ultimate 64Bit, because I work for a living on mine, and I have several programs running at the same time. This version could be costly if you don’t really need it.;)
|
ya im gonna be useing this computer more for gameing like FSX and Rig N Roll but i found a family pack windows 7 that inclues the 32 and 64 bit cds and its only like 130 something so i didt think it was to bad
|
Be careful about those so called “family packs”. Let me know exactly which Windows it is. I would hate to see you waiste money on something you expected to get, and didn’t.;)
|
Im about to buy a vaio laptop. I need for work but also will play COD. I am sure about the procesor, its the new generatio called "sandy bridge", but not thar sure about de graphic card.
Can you help? Intel® CoreTM i7-2620M 2,70GHz Windows® 7 Professional 500 GB Serial ATA (7200 rpm) 8 GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM LCD 33,7 cm, 1366x768 + webcam AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6630M 1GB Thanks |

Why my computer loading so long for RNR?
Hi guys, i wonder why my computer loading for RNR takes a very long time, around 4 minutes, just to enter into story mode? The quick load in the story mode also takes around the same time...But the gameplay runs perfectly well.
THe specification seems better than the minimum requirements. Here;s my computer: AMD Athlon TM II P360, Dual Core, 2,3 G RAM 4 GB Video CArd: 256 ATI Radeon any solution? |
