Inspired by the fantasy airshow I was thinking about what kind of dogfights would be cool to see/play in a game. Here's mine:
Phantom vs Tomcat

Spitfire vs harrier

ive had a thought dk, there is a game im sure (i will find out over the next few days) on the PS2 called "secret weapons over normandy" this game albeit is mega arcady great to play but the list of aircraft is awesome spits, hurries, mosquitos, f4fs, komets, ju87s, mustangs, bf 109s, fw190s, p38's zero's swordfish and in one mission youre in the belly turret of a b17 bail out and steel a me262 lol, the missions you do air to air, air to ground and air to sea and covers all theaters france, britan, russia, germany and pacific and its like BOP you unlock aircraft as you play the bonus "aircraft" are xwings and tie fighters, when you're in traing mode you can select Vs and how many wingmen (wich BOP really misses) you want so its a team battle against the comp :) i can complete it in 4hours now but one game has 13hours flying time lol its one of the best flight sims ive played on the PS2 ...............ever :)

Holy crap I remember that game now you mention it. And I remember the xwing cheat! I may have to try find a cheap copy on xbox if it works on 360.
Lucasarts games had some great cheats like that. I remember mercenaries 1 had Han solo and Indiana jones as unlockable characters

dk, when i was looking at stuff for the game i saw a crapload of cheats...and some great screenshots...looked like a lot of fun. would be great if it worked with the joystick... but look on ebay...found them pretty cheap even for new.

Cheers bobby I will take a look on eBay for a copy. I think I played it many years ago. I seem to remember swordfish was in it and a north Africa campaign.

looks like that old ww1 game wings of war will work too....anyone ever play it? is it worth snagging?

yeah you had to torpedo a convoy but not destroy one vessle as it had a spy on it then dog fight 2 109s after sinking the ships plus escort :cool:

the list of aircraft in this game is epic loads of experimental planes in its more arcadey than BOP i had a wee bash omg lol is brutally fast lol
