Really good stuff to know. When I first started, I just started pressing buttons and hoping they did something.

hey can you give hotkeys to use in gem editor while using laptop.
because there are some keys missing in laptop's keyboard like numpad

hotkeys for switching players and changing camera views?
yes hotkeys for switching players and changing camera views

SpeedWolf 10-31-2010 08:48 AM

my laptop have the option for me to use the number pad but if your laptop don't have a option to use a number pad.

you will have to buy a USB number pad' they is no way around it as far as i know.

usually if you hit the Fn key and look carefully there'll be a numpad on the keyboard in Blue

Most modern laptop have the Fn key in blue. if you do have it hold down Fn and look for the number pad in your keyboard mark in blue and hit it at the same time.

this show you what i mean. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fn_key

I search a way to open the console. This is the tilde key (² or ~ in most games). It does not work with this one.

Tigerium 07-29-2011 01:03 AM

ALT+F doesn't work ... I'll check if my buttons are alright and come back editing this post .

Control + Left-Click = Select individual pieces of a building :-]
It might do other things too...

Lol, so imma post in this thread to bring it back to the top, that list Speedwolf has is useful....

Also, Speedwolf, do you know how to blend the terrain? Like the side of traintracks and the rocks ive got them sitting on, they are blocky and look wrong, but idk how to smooth it out and make the rocks blend smoothly into the snow and grass beside them......

My profile album on here has a pic of what im talking about...its the last one with the big ol train on it..how do I smooth the rocks under the tracks with the grass? That is MoW's Port map....not my own haha.
