A new day has come,(because of the arrival of 11lbs boost Tempest!)

I was waiting for so long, (Since 2006 when 9lbs Tempest came out...)
for a miracle to come,(where is the 11lbs boost Tempest MKV?)
Everyone told me to be strong, (thanks for my teammates)
hold on, and don't shed a tear,
Through the darkness and good times,(always fight Dora in a 9lbs Tempest, always!)
I knew I'd make it through,
And the world thought i had it all,(so many flyable planes but none can touch me)
but I was waiting for you,(where are you,11lbs Tempest?)

Hush, love,
I see a light in the sky,(a new mod?)
Oh, it's almost blinding me,
I can't believe I've been touched by an angel with love,(Yes,she's come!)

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears,
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears,(Congratulations, Luftwaffer!)
Let it shatter the wall for a new sun,
A new day has come,
A new day has come,

Where it was dark now there's light,(dreadful rear view disapeared, now beautiful rear scene)
Where there was pain now there's joy,(Fire rate of Hispano MKV revised to 800RPM! good hunting!)
Where there was weakness, I've found my strength,(oh yeah 2400HP 11lbs boost Sabre,a monster.)
Oh, in the eyes of a boy,

Hush, love,
I see a light in the sky,
Oh, it's almost blinding me,

A new day has come,
A new day has come,

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears,
Let it fill my soul and drown my fear,
Let it shatter the wall for a new sun,
A new day has come,
Oooh, a light,
Hush, now,
I see a light in your eyes,
Oh, in the eyes of a boy,

Just a nostalgic music lover wanting to share, that's cool.

It isn't good to think like that it'll depress you.

I never listen to oldies or relate to music like that screws my head up.

Nope, Im with the too many drugs diagnosis.

Just for Fun.

Typhoon/Tempest was usually faster than fw190 on deck, isn't it?

660km/h@Sea level for 13lbs Tempest.;)

Insuber 01-20-2010 02:38 PM

LOL good one mate!

Sometimes it is enough so little to fill so much one's life ;)

Feathered_IV 01-21-2010 08:11 AM

in 1942 three Hawker Typhoon was in chase a 109. The 109 do a nose-dive movement and the three typhoons immediately follow the 109. The Three typhoon lost the entire tail and crash.
Typhoon was not a good plane for dogfight. it was only a ground attack plane like P47 and P51

That was in 1942, not 1942 late even 1943, the weakness of typhoon's tail had been overcome by 1943 or so .

Typhoon/Tempest is RAF's "fw190", not suitable for dogfight either, but the speed/firepower is owesome.

In western field, the best low alt racer usually belongs to RAF.

1941-42,Mustang MKI,MKIa
1942-1943,Typhoon, MustangII(P51A)
1944,9lb-11lbs Tempest, Mustang III/IV(25lbs P51B/C/D) (9lbs Tempest was ealier than Dora,K4)
1945,13lbs Tempest

Drag and energy tactics are not Luftwaffe's "Patent". RAF pilot's also have owesome climb/speed/dive/firepower.

Lucas_From_Hell 01-22-2010 11:16 AM

I agree on the Typhie not being exactly a good dogfighter, but calling P-51 and P-47 "only ground attack planes" is heresy.

Although they were good blowing up stuff on the ground, they were excellent fighters as well, so you can't just say they were only A2G.

zakkandrachoff 01-22-2010 04:27 PM

P47 in so many simulators i fly, is very heavy for a dinamic dogfight,. Maybe you know fly this cadillac more better that my. maybe i need practice.
And the P51 if i dont put only 30% fuel, stall al the time. Sorry, is not a attacker, is a nice escort, made for fly in a complete herd.

like Adolf Galland said. "I should like an outfit of Spitfires for my squadron..."

Lucas_From_Hell 01-22-2010 05:00 PM

If you call dynamic dogfight a slow-speed one, then you're right.

But with the right tactics, you can do quite some damage with them.

I won't give away any tactics, but take your own conclusions: the P-47 is as heavy as a C-47, has one hell of an engine, can support very high speeds without disintegrating and is very well armed. For the P-51, the situation is a bit similar.

Quite easy to figure out what to do, eh?
