Had quite a scare today after i played a few matches on edal's tourney: right after i finished sending edal the results, the ps3 froze, i restarted it and then the BoP red "corrupted data"... saw this thread yesterday and thought the same was happening to me...but ejected the disc, restarted the ps3, and the game was ok again!

You can have mine if you want (I've got the Bird Fan trophy and about 90% of the weapon unlocks, UK save)... But how do I extract it?

Don't worry, I'll have a little look tonight. Is it as simple as plugging in a hard drive, triangle on the save file and copy to HD?

Oooh! Thanks mate! Dont kow wheter the bird fan trophy will pop up though?

Yup all you have to do is:
1) Plug in an external memory source (mem card, hard drive etc)
2) Go to the save and hit Triangle -> coppy -> hit X on the USB device
3) Plug into the computer and ZIP the file
4) Send it via email (you will have to work out how to attach if you dont know, unless you use outlook express.) to lolitsbeenfixednow@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks!!! I owe you big time!

Hehe no probs :) I'll try it probably around half 8 or 9...

P.S: you might get the Bird Fan trophy... let me know.

EDIT: oooh, quick question: have you got the DLC? I have, so I don't know how it will cope if you haven't... It might just ignore the extra data...? If you've got it too then don't worry about it.

P-51 11-18-2009 04:14 PM

I will.

No i dont, but as you have to download something seperate for that (i think that goes into your Game data - not the save data the other one above PS & PS2 virtual cards) I don't think it mearges the save & the download. It would be cheaper if it did!

InfiniteStates 11-18-2009 05:17 PM

No, I'm just thinking because my save has mission progress for the DLC which might confuse your game. But it might not... the dev's are good engineers so I would think it will cope.

Well surely it would only read that if i have the missions - which i dont!

I'll tell you how it goes!

InfiniteStates 11-18-2009 06:57 PM

Emailed :) Good luck...

(I'd edit your message to remove your email if you can - bots or a-holes might abuse it...)

P-51 11-18-2009 07:09 PM

Good idea but you quoted me :P
Sticking on my PS3 now

P-51 11-18-2009 07:13 PM

It worked but - it recognised that it was not my data and said i wont be able to save or earn new trophies... Ohh well! Ill just have to start again if i want the plat for it..

InfiniteStates 11-19-2009 10:28 AM

Fixed your email in my quote :)

What you could try, is keep the file I sent, but delete it from your PS3, start a new save and check the filename against the one I sent you. If it's different, change the file I sent you to the same as your new one. Then try again.

Worth a try I guess... I don't know what mechanics are in place to stop trophy cheating.

InfiniteStates 11-20-2009 03:40 PM

Did it work out at all dude? Or did you just bite the bullet and restart a new save?

EDIT: LOL just noticed your email censoring :)

P-51 11-20-2009 03:51 PM

Havnt tried yet. Will probs start a new save though..

Ghillied raptor 11-23-2009 11:51 AM

I had the same thing happen to me, now I've got to do everything all over again.I was trying to get the K-4 too, now it's going to take a much longer time.Does anyone here know how to restore the data?

InfiniteStates 11-23-2009 12:41 PM

You could get P51 to forward you my save, then ask him what he did to get it to work?

Just out of interest: are you guys with corrupt saves turning your console off at the back?

P-51 11-23-2009 03:42 PM

Pass us your emal in a PM and ill forward you a save :D

I turn it off properly (press the button on the front) why?

InfiniteStates 11-23-2009 03:57 PM

Because using the power switch on the back is the quickest and easiest way to corrupt lots of things. You must have been really unlucky then...:-x

P-51 11-23-2009 04:06 PM

I never turn it off at the back.. It has corrupted my whole system before like that..
