Can look in the zoo
Spec wise, it should run it . . .
I do know the Ubizoo has had threads on getting IL-2 to work in vista http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/23110283 do a search there and you'll find some info. Get a joystick IL-2 works so much better and bearcat's nugget thread over there really helps |
I don't think it's possible to have instruments on another screen, but there are many solutions:
If you like arcade, you can turn off the cockpit and there will be HUD instruments. There is also a little speed bar in the corner that you can turn on or off. Finally, if you like full-real sim mode, I suggest having your stick in the right hand, and the mouse in the left. It takes time, but this way you can fly the plane, and look around at your instruments or over your shoulder, etc. |

Simply after installation you must set across the properties of EXE file compatibility with Windows XP. Connect across HDMI to TV. Also... you need at least the most cheapest joystick, not a gamepad. And then enjoy the amount of features and the fligth Would be good also if you have good home theater system to connet the output of sound card to that system at least for stereo and set some of Dolby settings for emulation of 5 channels that you wish you like better any for you. (becasue notebook have usually just jack for stereo and has no separate 5 channels for sub and front-rear speakers) . |
ok thanks guys for the advice
i will check out that zooforum as well i have a saitek av8r i know its a cheap stick but it will do me for now and my lcd tv has dolby stereo on it also so all should be good then just a case of waiting for the postman to deliver it now  many thanks guys  and thanks to oleg for taking the time to post a reply much apreciated  |

"Insert the IL2 DVD. When the pop up window comes up do not choose "autorun" or "autoinstall". Several people (me included) have had the problem of a spinning disk without anything happening. Instead, choose "explore disk content" and go to the IL2 Sturmovik root folder. There, find the "a.exe" and double-clic. IL2 should now install just fine." |

Also DO NOT install il-2 to the default location. If you have User Account Control on it won'tlet you edit any files, or if you choose t tune your conf.ini it won't let you save the changes.
Be sure to turn UAC off in the user control page (from control pannell) and when you install il-2, point it to a different location, eg in your 'my computer' make a file called il-2 or something, and install it there. I hope this make sense :D |
