Spitfires and Hurricanes
 

I know it's just a video game, and I love flying the axis aircraft for a change, but shooting at Spitfires and Hurricanes just seems.....wrong .....somehow.

So do the right thing and shoot at your Luftwaffle team-mates instead!

Yet it feels "right" to shoot down 109's and 190's? :P

Just do as I do and make out like your a proper RAF pilot flying a stolen aircraft. The enemy is nazi's in disguise, trying to fool you by using captured planes. :grin:

You know they did that right?

That's probably what makes it work for him ;).

I still don't like shooting at 'em though LoL. For me the saddest part of the "Battle of Britain" movie is at the very beginning, when the retreating Brits have to destroy some damaged Hurricanes to prevent them being captured by the nazis. Very sad LoL. War is Hell.

I actually single out the Hurricanes and Spitfires...and will only ingage another 109 if I really have to.

Keep in mind its just a video game. To each his own.
I do not endorse nazism, but I just love the 109 and German planes.

No it ain't! It is just okay for me!

A Spitfire is such a nice and wide Target that you have no trouble of it shooting it down. It's wide Wings make a good reticle to aim at, that you aim and fire.


with the Hurricane it is a bit trickey however, but not a problem.
You shoot the Hull full with Holes and down it goes!

Flak? Why do you say that? I like flying the German planes too. I've wanted to try the 163 Komet since I first saw a model of one at 7 years old, and in the game it has an unlimited fuel supply! Alexander Lippisch (sp?) was a genius, and certainly no nazi.

I must hold my hand up and admit.......

shooting down a yak over the cliffs of dover is always nice, but when its a 109...... it feels so much better, a sense of pride for defending my home land from the luftwaffe. Or even better (not for the kill but for the look)..

your chasing a 109 your on his 6 firing away or giving him a few bursts because limited ammo is on, then from above and behind a hurricane/spitfire comes straight between you both and wipes out the 109. Its a kill stealer but i dont mind because it looks the dogs bollocks (good).

I never really thought about this, it does not matter for me anyways.They all burn the same:cool:.

With a special feeling to 109s with yellow painting on tails, wings and engine. :-P: -P

I know you guys all love flying in Realistic of Sim modes, but me personally I prefer Arcade mode. So if you guys sometime fancy "coming down to my level", let me know and I'll show you some sweet arcade action with me in my trusty Spit MKII ;)

We only usually play sim mode, its as close to full real as we'll get. So can compromise... meet half way so to speak and play realistic? Arcade is to "difficult" believe it or not.

If we play tonight your more than welcome to join in, we'll get a forum game going.
